He suffered so much during his lifetime! ” I do not know whether to mourn the dead son or myself and 3 of my living babies. We will not survive another death with my husband. Look only at what beautiful children the Lord gives us. I do not believe that for death! Help!!!
- Mother with many children cries and cries - (name]
What a horror, friends, what a nightmare! Who will tell the unfortunate mom and dad how to feed the children. After the death of Divid, they wait with horror who the next will die in their arms from hunger, cold and illness!
“God, please don’t take my children from me, make kind people help us! God, I know my David is with you now, I know him better now, now he is not cold and not hungry ... but what should I do with your other angels? You gave them to me? Will you help me educate them? Will you help God? Really? ”- this is how mother Eka prays every night when she puts the hungry children to bed ... Yes friends, this prayer of the Georgian mother, for Georgian children in the 21st century, before the New Year holidays!
On the outskirts of the city, there is a landfill ... Yes, a landfill in which trash, waste is thrown away ... this is the landfill for many who became the only hope - to survive ... among them the large Shavlokhashvili family, a family that is gradually dying out, and probably by the spring will be!
Nugzar: I am 55 years old, my wife is 28. We have 4 children. More truly already 3 (crying). A month ago, one of our twins, David, flew to heaven! He is now an angel ... we have 3 babies. Elena is 7 years old, Liana is 3 years old, and the remaining twin Nana will turn one year old on December 14. And David would have turned a year old ... but where is he now? Lies in the cold earth ... and I can’t even make him a grave ... (crying) when I come to the place where my son is buried, either the dog is lying on his grave or the cows trample the earth ... I die every time, God, how I want to die at this moment ... I don’t even have the opportunity to fence off my son’s graves ... I know I need to think about the living ... they have nothing to eat, I have no right to spend money on materials for the grave. (crying)
- Please calm down, tell us how you ended up here in these ruins?
Nugzar: Before my wife fell ill and was unable to look after the children, I had to quit work. Well, you don’t think that I earned a lot of money there, or worked in an office, no ... I’m a simple person with secondary education, I worked for days on the fly. Now at a construction site, then at the market as a loader ... but a few years ago I could not go to work, it was impossible to leave my wife and young children alone. I looked after them ... but I could no longer earn money! Who will work for me? We couldn’t pay for the apartment, so we ended up here ... in this building, stray dogs take shelter from the cold, and here they let us in ... Oh, God help us!
- And why did you settle here? Here is unsanitary conditions, there are a lot of dogs!
Nugzar: When I could not work, we went to landfills, collected scrap metal and bottles. We got acquainted there with kind and unhappy people - like us! They told us that they live nearby, and that there are still rooms in the ruined room. And so they came to this hole! Many families live here, and you know, I have never felt such support from others! They have children starving themselves, and they shared crumbs with us. Then we made beds from boards for us, and that's how they helped us out!
- you told a terrible story about a child, how do you hold on?
Nugzar: Only faith in God holds us on this earth. Only the belief that tomorrow will be better than yesterday ... When I tell them that with God's help everything will be fine - they, you imagine, are small, but they believe God and know that everything will be so. Our little David flew into heaven and asked God for help for his sisters! I believe that!
- And how did you imagine your life, what did you dream about, what did you strive for?
Nugzar: I had very poor parents, they could not give me an education! They did not know that this was important for the child! I worked from childhood, helped my father, helped my neighbors, I’m a hard worker ... I’m not a couch potato! But it happened, I met Eka, she was 27 years younger than me, when we met, she found support in me, she knew that I would wear her in my arms ... at first it was like that, but then she got sick, and now, so it happened ...
- Tell us about the needs of the children?
Nugzar: Elder Elena is 7 years old. She is in second grade! My smartie. I take her to school every day and take her out of school. As you know, we do not live in the village and the nearest school is 10 km away. But I will turn inside out, but I will take the children to school! In any weather! I’ll carry it in my arms! But my children will learn! (crying)
- Please do not cry, tell us how in such conditions you manage to survive?
Nugzar: I don’t know ... is this really life? On the street, dogs also survive ... like that! Nobody counts us for people! And hardly count! Therefore we must learn! Need to study! Do whatever you want.shit!
- What do you dream about, what do you think will improve your situation?
Nugzar: Products! Products and products again! I have no right to dream more!
- Please tell me, for the sake of your children!
Nugzar: I dream of making a grave for a child, fencing, at least ... so that animals don’t go in there ... but I need beds for the living! The furniture you see here is all from the landfill! And clothes ... and this stove, which smokes ... we ourselves are people from the landfill ... I only dream about one thing. To keep the children warm! So that they do not starve! So that they sleep in normal beds. I don’t know ... what other dreams could be? We forgot how to dream!
