Mommy, they came to visit us? Do such miracles happen?

Fund and its friends - is all that we have!

Do you remember our fragile girl, our dolly Lizi Grigalashvili? The girl born to be the most beautiful Georgian girl? Lizi and her family have had to get through so many hardships recently...This little angel spent last month in a hospice desperately struggling for her life. And Lizonka won again.

Unbearable pain the poor 9-year-old girl had suffered surrendered but for how long? Only God knows. 

However, the Grigalashvili family is happy now! Dear sister of 14-year-old Tamara and 11-year-old Tiniko is home again!

“Mommy, show her how many presents they’ve brought her from the Fund! Let Lizi touch them! You see, she loves it - look how she turns her head!”, - Tiniko, full of happiness keeps chattering and putting the next box of porridge under Liziko’s hand to let her touch it.

The girls do not stop until they have put all the boxes and jars around Lizi, building a kind of throne made of your presents, friends!

- That's how they make noise all day! - mother Leila says looking with love at her daughters, - sometimes they give yogurt to Lizi, or a diaper pack...They want her to touch everything and feel happy. Although Lizonka can’t see, we know that she likes everything! She turns her head and it means that she is happy...

Oh...I did not expect that there was anything that would make me happy after the nightmare we had to pass through together with Lizi during the last month. Why did so many sufferings befell her, why? I don’t know. We barely got out this time... 

The miserable mother desperately hugged her fragile daughter. 

- Leila, how does Lizi feel herself now? 

- Can you imagine, she gained two kilograms and now she weighs 13! It’s a miracle that has happened thanks to you and your care! Would we ever manage to buy so much food for Lizonka? And diapers? It will be enough for many months, so we can be calm and not worry about her. We used to spend 400 GEL for medications each month.

You know, as soon as we found ourselves in the hospice, I immediately called to the Fund for support, advise, and kind words. However, I felt awkward to bother you again, but there was no one else who could help. Only the friends of the Fund - itis all that we have, God bless you! My daughters are praying for you a lot! 

But it’s another story. When your representatives came for the first time, Tamara and Tiniko got so confused! They kept asking: Mom, did they come to visit us? How is it possible? Aren’t they mistaken? 

The girls could not imagine a thing like that happening in their life - that somebody besides their parents would take care of them. 

- Leila, what does this support and help mean to you?

- I have got back my faith in a better future. Thanks to you and the friends of the Fund, now we have several months’ supply of medications, diapers and hygienic items for Lizi, so there will be no more need to choose what to buy with our meager income - medications for Lizi or food for the elder girls.

You brought so many yogurts for Lizonka, that even Tamara and Tiniko had a chance to taste them, but they did not. They said: ‘It’s for Lizi, we will not eat it.” It’s always like that, they leave everything for Lizi, for their dolly.When someone treats them with candies, they bring they home for Lizi.

Tiniko (11-year-old): Nothing's too good for Lizi! Because she is still little, she can’t even chew. So, she needs yogurts, and we can manage without them.Look what a gas stove you have brought! Tamara will make crispy fried potatoes on it. You know how they smell! But Lizi cannot eat them. 

- So, Tamara is a little hostess here? 

Tiniko (11-year-old): She has to. When my mother and Lizi were at the hospice, my father and Tamara were the heads of the household. Tamara used to cook, wash the clothes and tidy up. I did my best to help her, but she did not let me approach the gas stove. 

Tamara (14-year-old): I am already big, I can do almost everything, I help mom, I can even take care of Lizi. But Tiniko and me prefer entertaining her. We sing to her, tell her the tales one at a time, because Lizi doesn’t like when we sing or talk together.

- How do you guess what she likes, and what she doesn’t - she can’t talk! 

Tamara (14-year-old): When she doesn’t like something, she starts shouting, when she does, she turns her head, keeps silent and listens carefully. As she is doing it right now, do you see?

- Girls, you are very good sisters, your mother can be proud of you!

Leila, I know that the problems of your family will not end like that. How can we and our readers help you? 

- How can I dare ask you for more? Since you have done so much for us! But still I will dare: Lizi permanently needs a feeding tube and a Foley catheter, that’s what I want to ask for.I don’t need anything else.
