Let me introduce Gia Beridze (52-year-old) to you. He looks like a healthy young man, but looks can be deceiving. His rib cage is cut in the middle and without pills his heart would not work. A day without pills can kill him. The person who fought for us, who saved hundreds or maybe thousands of people without knowing about that, does not deserve such an ignominious end. Does he?

My heart beats again - all thanks to the patriots of Georgia!

Gia Beridze (52), a veteran of the Georgian-Abkhaz war, lived a difficult life full of dangers. He was married twice, has two children, but he rarely sees them. At first glance Gia seems to be a healthy and strong man but looks can be deceiving. Due to a massive heart attack, his heart is unable to beat without expensive drugs. We told you a heartbreaking story of Gia Beridze in our post “Sniper’s bullet did not kill him! But lack of one tiny pill can!” (https://chernovetskyifund.ge/en/projects/637-beridze/description).

“I couldn't even think that there are so many kind people in the world! Every day I pray for the health of those who helped and supported me. You have done a real miracle by changing my life!” Thanks to you, friends, Gia regained confidence in his future. Only thanks to your kindness, he found the strength to live on and fight for his life! Now he is not alone, and this is your merit. “I am immensely grateful to all of you! You saved me from imminent death! Lord heard me

- How has your life changed after our publication?

Gia: How has it changed? You just saved my life! I used to live completely alone in a small apartment and entirely depended on medications. There was no one to give a glass of water to me. I didn't know how to live... After the post was published, kind people started calling me, asking about my health and my problems, some even transferred money to me. Fund personnel brought me medications without which I would not have survived. I was surrounded by your attention and support! You pulled me out of the abyss of despair, gave me hope. Only thanks to you, every morning I find the strength to live on, despite my health problems ...

You have made wonderful gifts to me! Before meeting you, I could not even think that someday I would have a TV, especially such a big one.

Special thanks for the water heater! I cannot express it with words how happy I was with this gift! Previously, hot water seemed a kind of luxury to me - you have done a lot to make my life more comfortable.

But most importantly, you have brought the medications that I need so badly! Thanks to you, for the first time, I felt carefree and happy, because I didn't have to think about where to get the medications for tomorrow. Thank God for directing me to you!

- Gia, who do you remember the most? Do you remember the names of the people, who helped you?

Gia: Most of all, I remember a married couple who transferred 100 GEL to my account. The woman's name was Nina Kurashvili. Imagine, complete strangers provided me with such help! I still remember this with warmth ...Unfortunately, I did not remember the names of most of the people who helped me ... After the publication of your post, many people called and supported me. They transferred money to me many times, someone sent me 30 GEL. I am grateful for every penny transferred, because this money helped me to survive. However it was not only financial support that I got, but moral as well. Kind people asked me about my problems, tried to support me in every possible way. This instilled confidence in the future in me, I felt that I was not alone. I am grateful to everyone who took the time, helped and supported me! You cannot imagine what this means to me!

- Did the local authorities help you somehow after our publication? Did they ask you about your condition?

Gia: No, not at all. They helped me with nothing... The fact is that there is a limit for each socially unprotected person. I have exhausted my limit ... In the past, the government has funded my expensive surgeries and covered huge expenses for my medications. The state has already done a lot for me, and I am grateful for that, but now I have to cope with my problems myself ...

- Do you have enough medications at the moment, Gia? You need them so.

Gia: Thank God I don’t have to worry about that yet. The employees of your Fund brought me all the necessary medications; it will be enough for me for a while. In addition, they gave me a blood pressure monitor, which was a real surprise for me! I am very grateful for such help!

- Tell me about your emotions.

Gia: It's hard for me to describe my emotions in words... I haven't experienced such feelings for a long time. You have brightened my life! Every day was like a war before. I could hardly find money for medications, every day I was afraid that my heart would stop. My illness was aggravated by unsuitable living conditions. I didn't even have hot water! I don't know where I found the strength to live on. God Himself sent me such help! Words cannot describe the joy I experienced when you brought me a TV set, a water heater, and medications! I am amazed that at such difficult time people managed to support me!

- What does this support and help mean to you?

Gia: You know, I could not even imagine that you would help me so much ... You saved my life. Now I know that I am surrounded by wonderful, kind people who always lend a helping hand. I don’t know what I would do now if you hadn’t published a post about me. Perhaps the people who helped me don’t fully realize how important it was for me, but you can’t imagine how grateful I am to them! And I am very grateful to you for everything you have done for me! This is truly priceless.

- Gia, maybe you have some more problems that our readers can help you with?

Gia: I am very grateful to you for everything! I am happy that God sent you to me. The only thing that worries me is the living conditions in my hovel. There are no windows, it is difficult to breathe without them, and the bathroom needs to be repaired. Besides that, I am afraid that they will cut electricity soon. Nowadays, electricity prices are huge... But these problems cannot be compared to those you have helped me to solve! I will not tire of repeating how grateful I am! You have shown great attention to me, provided me with invaluable support!
