Three of our grandmothers, three good old women, three unfortunate destinies, many hundreds of illnesses, old age and complete loneliness! Do we leave them without constant help?

    “A sick person in a family is very difficult, but when a second sick person appears, it’s already a disaster, but when another sick woman is being looked after by another sick woman, it’s a disaster,” said 58-year-old Ia Natenadze.

     For several years now, she has been caring for a 92-year-old mother chained to a wheelchair. Margarita Natenadze is shackled to a wheelchair, suffering from arthrosis, hypertension, varicose veins, and recently she fell and broke her hip joint.

      “I have a completely lonely aunt who lived in a shelter for old people. She suffered from a mental disorder, she felt very sorry for her, and I decided to take her home, ”says Ia Natenadze.

      Nino Iashvili is now 90 years old. Suffering from chronic colitis, legs barely moving, tormented by high pressure, during seizures, becomes aggressive, often loses balance and falls ...

    Oia herself is also a sick person. She worked in high school as a history teacher. In 2007, she had an accident - a heavy iron structure fell on her in the technical room of the school, which damaged her spine. “Since then, even with my hand I can not touch the spine; I also cannot stand on my feet for a long time, sometimes my whole body is aching. But what to do, I can not leave my mother and aunt without leaving, and I try to ignore my sores, although it is very hard for me ... ”, says Ia Natenadze.

    The situation is further aggravated by the terrible living conditions in which these three women have to live. So, the bathroom in their apartment is damaged and, therefore, they can not use the toilet, sink and faucet in the kitchen.

    “We live like a powder keg. The pension goes to food and medicine. Due to lack of money, I can not change the plumbing. We have to suffer, dragging water from a nearby apartment. She recently carried a bucket of water, stumbled and fell at the door of the apartment. I could not get up for 10 minutes, lay and cry ... ”, says Ia Natenadze.

   -What are you dreaming about?

   Ia Natenadze: to be honest, I dream of a refrigerator. Without this, it is very difficult; products purchased at the last penny instantly spoil! Another dream is to fix the bathroom in the apartment, without which life simply becomes unbearable.

  - Iya, tell me, are you a believer?

   Ia Natenadze: Our whole family is a believer.

   -Why do you believe in god?

   Ia Natenadze: I believe in God because without Him, life turns into a bestial existence. Yes, money makes life more convenient, helps to solve many problems, but does not fill the void that must be filled with meaning. Without God, man does not understand why he lives, why he was born, what he should do.

      Dear friends, while we are young, healthy and beautiful, we rarely think about old age, and in fact in affairs and worries, joys and anxieties, life rushes like one moment! Old age, infirmity, illness overtake a person suddenly. Our grandmothers and grandfathers in their souls are the same young people with their dreams, desires and aspirations.
