All of them are socially unprotected!
Corr. “Lali, tell us what trouble brought you to us?”
Lali - Hopeless Poverty. This is the only way I can call our current situation. I can’t say that this is unusual for us - we always lived poorly, barely making ends meet. But in the past few months, our life has become a nightmare. Our children are starving, there’s nothing to buy medicine for the husband and mother-in-law, not to mention something else ...
It became especially difficult for me after the operation of my husband Soso - in February he had an emergency gall bladder cut out and if earlier he could work part-time as a laborer, then because of the operation we were left without this meager, but still extra income.
To this was added the situation in the world - the coronavirus pandemic, and there is no work at all. All this deplorably affected our family. Your Fund is our last hope.
Look into angel eyes, baby ?! Remember them! These are the largest, most beautiful and blue in the world. Georgia! Lord save your angels!
Corr. - Who did your spouse work and what contribution did he make to your family budget?
Lali - Soso has no permanent job. He worked part time as a laborer at a construction site. You yourself understand what kind of work it is and what income can be from it. And now he is ill, poor, tormented!
Corr. - Lali, on what means does your large family live at all?
Lali - Our monthly income is a social allowance of 730 GEL for 8 people, and grandmother's pension is 120 GEL. That's all our income.
Corr. “What are they enough for?”
Lali - Only for the most necessary products, medicines and utility bills. There is no more money left for anything else: sometimes there is not enough money for clothes, toys, even school notebooks for children ... How many times did my eldest daughter Mariam go to school without homework just because she did not have a notebook, in which it was possible to record the completed task ... Sometimes I borrowed a notebook in a store, and sometimes Mariam asked for a new notebook from my girlfriend ...
I have a washing machine that good people gave us two years ago, but often I can’t use it because there is no extra money for powder and I have to wash eight people’s hands with laundry soap ....
Corr. “Lali, what is this house?”
Lali - We live in the village of Phvenisi, Gori district, in two rooms of a private two-story house. This house belongs to my deceased father-in-law and his brother. Part of the house is closed - does not belong to our family. And the house itself is in a serious emergency situation - the roof is leaking and both floors are almost completely unsuitable for life.
Our two rooms are bare walls and linoleum cement floor, and only in one room.
In one of our rooms, water leaks from the roof and the walls are almost always wet. We do not have a kitchen and we cook in one of the living rooms. In winter, we cook mainly on a wood stove - we have a gas stove, but in winter thanks to the stove we economize gas. On the same stove we heat water in order to bathe our children.
Of course, buying firewood is not cheap either, and often we have to choose whether to buy firewood or feed our children.
Corr. - Does any of your relatives help you?
Lali - Despite the fact that my husband and I are both from large families, there is nobody to help us. Both my father and Soso died early, our mothers raised us without the support of husbands. And our brothers and sisters live almost as poorly as we do. Of course, we all support each other as much as we can, but no one can help all the time. They have their own families, children, their problems.
If possible, - I want to thank the deputy of Gori, Sakrebulo Zurab Kajrishvili - from time to time he helps us with food and firewood. Let people know - he is a good man!
Corr. - Lali, tell us the story of your family
Lali - I met my future husband in 2008. I then lived with my sister in Gori and studied at the technical school there. And Soso's sister was friends with my sister. Through her, I met him. Soso began to look after me and for almost a year sought my love. As you can see, he succeeded, and we got married.
Despite poverty, we are a happy family. Our children are born in love. Soso is trying very hard to get out of poverty, does not shy away from any work, and at home he tries to help me in everything. Despite the fact that our house is practically unsuitable for life, it still tries to improve something, it’ll beat up a shelf, then cut out money and put a new linoleum in the room. Last year, in one of our two rooms, he finally managed to fill the earthen floor with cement.

yu dance. We have a Georgian folk dance club at our school, and I went there for four months. Then my mother could not pay and I had to leave, I was very upset. I tried to dance at home, but then I forgot the movements and now I think up something.
Corr. - Do you draw?
- Yes, sometimes I draw. I like to draw trees and flowers, and also girls in beautiful dresses.
Corr. - Do you have a beautiful dress?
- No, no. My classmates have such ?! And I want ... I like lush dresses that spin beautifully. Like real princesses!
Corr. “Are you happy?” When does this happen? Tell us about your best day ever?
“I'm always happy if dad and grandmother don't cry in pain.” So what, that there is no dress ..! Will it ever be? Truth? - She opened her eyes wide and looked into mine - like a soul!
And the best day of my life was when I was given "ripped" jeans for my birthday! If you only knew how I dreamed about them! Girls in school wore such jeans and I really wanted to have them. And when they gave them to me, I was the happiest in the world! This birthday I will never forget!
Corr. - Mariam, your mother said that she knows how to do beautiful hairstyles. Does she do to you?
- Yes Yes…! Does, does! She curls me with beautiful curls like princesses or like brides do for a wedding. She also knows how to make beautiful braids and puts them like a rose. She and my friends do hairstyles.
Corr. - Do you have a lot of friends?
- I am friends with many girls, but I have one friend - Lizi. Sometimes we sit with her at the same desk. She is my closest friend, we all tell each other everything, trust each other all our secrets ... But now we don’t see each other because of the coronavirus. She lives far away and cannot come to me. If I had a phone, I would call her or see her on the computer. But we don’t have a computer, only a school beech ...
Corr. “Mariam, are you still playing with dolls?”
- If I had them, I would play. I have no toys. I would like for me to have Barbie dolls, Elsa and Anna dolls, and their palace. I also want a bike.
Corr. “What else would you like?”
“A phone and a school backpack, another pretty bag, like the big girls.”
Corr. “Do you believe that you can have all this?”
-Dad and mom say that God can do anything! So it will be ...
And you, aunt, believe God ?!
Corr. - I believe, of course! Are you friends with mom?
- Yes, we are friends ... I tell her how my day went, and she - about her childhood, about how she played with her sisters and brother. How they were friends and how they had fun.
Corr. “Are you friends with your brothers and sister?”
- Yes, we are very friendly and never quarrel.
Corr. “Mariam, what do you want to become when you grow up?”
- I want to be a dancer, I dream that I will learn how to dance Georgian dances well and they will take me to some ensemble.
Corr. - And now I’ll talk with Tariel (8 years old). Hi, Tariel. I want to talk with you a little bit, are you ready?
“I'm the oldest of the boys.” A man is always ready for anything! I am Georgian!
Corr. - Well then tell me how you live?
- Good. I only miss school. Now we have to deal with the computer and give a lot of tasks.
Corr. - Do you have your own computer?
- The school beech that I study. But we do not have a real computer.
Corr. - Back to school. Do you like going to school?
- Yes, I like learning and playing breaks with friends. Now I hardly see my friends. Only Luka - he lives nearby. Luke is my best friend, we are studying with him in the same class ... We have a real friendship - we already had to fight together, so he is a trusted friend.
Corr. “Why did you fight?” Maybe someone makes fun of you because your family is poor?
- No, what are you! Nobody ever offended me because of this. On the contrary. Once at school they even raised money for us. The children themselves drew drawings, did all kinds of crafts, then arranged an exhibition, and people bought and gave us this money.
Corr. “So you have really good friends.” What do you like to play with friends?
- In football and still on a bike we drive. But now it doesn’t work, my tires on the bike are torn.
Corr. “And your brothers are playing with you?”
- David, of course, plays. And Gabriel is still a baby! See what little one? Neighboring boys come to us to play football. I do not like to stand at the gate, it's boring. I love to score goals. I have a Messi uniform, but I don’t put it in the yard, I keep it on the shore - it can turn out to go to football, it will be needed there.
Corr. - What else do you like besides football?
- (thinking for a long time) - still draw.
Corr. What do you usually draw?
- The sea. True, I never saw him, but I imagine how it can be - it is big and blue. So I draw.
Corr. - Will you show us your drawings?
- I don’t keep them, but I’ll definitely draw new ones for you.
Corr. - Would you like to go to the sea?
- Of course! I still don’t know how to swim, but I think I would be able to dive. I would have collected colored pebbles, and then put them in a bottle at home.
Corr. - And in the toy
and are you still playing
- Well no, it's for the little ones. I play ball and ride a bike before. But I like to watch cartoons - "Masha and the Bear", "Mickey Mouse", and also about the Hulk. I really like him - he's cool, so strong! I would like to be like that
Corr. “Tato, are you reading books?”
- Only when the teacher gives home, and not so, it is better to play football.
Corr. - How do you study?
- I have only 10 matches. I really love math. Our teacher, Anna Sanikidze, is not at all strict. We all love her. She is also beautiful.
Corr. - Are the girls in the classroom beautiful?
- I do not know…
Corr. - Okay. Tell me better, are you helping your parents?
- Yes, of course, I'm the eldest. I help dad to stack firewood and bring home. I also help my mother look after the younger ones, I carry Fatima in my arms and at home, and I look after her in the yard.
Corr. “Tato, what do you want to become when you grow up?”
- Athlete. I want to play football. And so that everyone is proud of me. I even see in a dream how I play in a large stadium and score a goal ...
Corr. “Tato, tell me, please.” And what would you most like to have?
- A tablet and a phone with internet. Another machine on the remote control and a real soccer ball.
Corr. - And you David, already go to school?
David (6 years) - No, I went to kindergarten. I’ll go to school in September.
Corr. - Do you want to go to school?
- I don’t know yet, I’ll say when they go
Corr. - What would you like to become?
- I also want to be a soccer player. And I also have a football uniform, but I have a Ronaldo uniform. I don’t have boots - can you give me the boots?
Corr. - Mandatory, because a real football player can’t do without boots ... But what else would you like?
- I also want a tablet and a phone, and another ball.
Corr. “What do you think Gabriel would like?”
“If you buy Gabriela the Spiderman uniform, he will go crazy with happiness!” He told me about it himself. He also wants a lot of Snickers! Once mom bought us two Sneakers and we honestly shared them! And after that, Gabriel wants the Snickers all the time. I wouldn’t refuse him too ... There are such delicious nuts ....
Corr. “You can convey to Gabriel what he will have and the“ sluggish ”Snickers and Spiderman uniform, I promise! And now I’ll talk to your mom again.
Corr. - Lali, tell me, what can we help you with, what exactly does your family need?
- First of all, in food and clothing for children. We also need diapers for two-year-old Fatima and hygiene products. If they help us with bedding, we will be very grateful, since we have very little of it. It is very difficult to say this, but we really need any help ...
Corr. - Lali, would you like to meet friends of the Fund and make new friends?
- I will be very glad to new friends.

God gives us the opportunity to take care of people who are not able to do it themselves. Not all people are the same. And not everyone is kind, as we are with you. Do not pass by someone else's misfortune! Unhappy people are given to us from above so that we can prove our faith to the Almighty not in words but in deeds!
Friends, there is one more request, if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or acquaintance, do a charitable deed, write to us by e-mail: office-fsp@fsp.ge
