Do you know what hell is? It’s when it hurts but you have no money to buy a painkiller, when you are hungry, but there is no food, when you are thirsty but there is no one to give you water! This is hell! And also the understanding that nothing will ever change... Life will never become better for Khatuna Gvenetadze! She is holding on with her last strength.

Am I back to life?

Khatuna, 47, does not remember the last time she smiled so happily.

"Thanks to you, I have friends and a reason to live... A lot of people called me, and everyone tried to support me!" - says the woman, hardly believing that all this is happening to her. Over the endless years of loneliness, she almost forgot what it feels like when people are caring about you.

After we have published a post about her, her humble dwelling became filled with comfort, and her eyes started to shine with happiness!

"Now I have a refrigerator, medications, and even more... I no longer talk to myself, because now I have a TV!"

This fragile woman had to endure so much grief, she went through so many hardships, she spent so many years in exhausting silence... But our empathy and love for our neighbor worked a miracle in Khatuna’s life.

"I start to believe in my recovery, that I will soon be able to stand on my own feet, start working and will help people as you do."

And we too believe in this, Khatuna! All together, under the merciful gaze of the Lord, we can heal and resurrect!

Before publication  After publication

   - Khatuna, how did your life change after we have published an article about you?

Khatuna: My mornings start with a prayer for you and your readers, I ask that the Lord always bless you. After the publication my life changed dramatically. When you visited me for the first time and asked what I needed the most, I was embarrassed to ask for anything, since there are many hungry children in our country. But then I overpowered myself and asked you for fridge and medications. And now, thanks to you, I have a refrigerator, medications, and even more... (She shed a tear.) I no longer talk to myself, because I have a TV, and even that is not all - I have a new oven, iron, bed linen... But the most important thing is that I am no longer alone, thanks to you I have friends and the reason to live... Many thanks to you - I will pray for all of you every day.

  - Would you like to single out someone of your new friends?

Khatuna: After your publication, I started receiving many calls - from both ordinary people and various organizations. Everyone tried to support me. You know, after many years of loneliness, these calls became the greatest gift for me and the most powerful medication. I have already started to believe in my recovery, that I will soon be able to get on my both feet, start working and helping people, just like you do.

   - Who did you remember the most? Do you remember their names?

Khatuna: Of course, I do, and I pray for all of them. I would like to especially thank Nino Keburia - she gave me a real New Year, and also Manana, a journalist for Radio Liberty. I would like to express my special gratitude to the staff of Caritas, who, after reading your post, started helping me in any way they can. You and your readers have become dear to me - thank you for becoming a family for me.

  - Was there any respond to your problems from the local authorities? Did they somehow react on our post?

Khatuna: Yes. They responded to your publication - the social service representatives contacted me and now I get a daily ration at the social canteen. Many thanks to them!

   - What does this support and help mean to you?

Khatuna: During the years of loneliness, I somehow learned how to survive with almost nothing. Yes, I used to survive, and now, thanks to your support, I feel that I am living, that I am not alone. I made a lot of new friends - dealing with everyday routine became much easier to me thanks to your help and your gifts - my room changed a lot and became cozy. And most importantly, I am no longer afraid to wake up alone in the morning with a bunch of problems... I know, I am sure that I am not alone, and it was your Fund and your numerous friends that gave me this confidence. God bless you!

  – Maybe you have more problems that our readers can help you to solve?

Khatuna: I am embarrassed to answer this question after all that you have done for me, especially since I know that so many people need help too... But I would still like to ask you one more thing. Caritas can provide me with a free rehabilitation massage course, but they need to see the results of my brain CT scan for that. I would like to ask you to help me with taking this examination. I want once again to thank everyone, who responded to your post, may God bless you! I am happy that I have you. Thank you!

Friends, thanks to everyone who helped Khatuna Gvenetadze. I hope that we will keep supporting this brave woman because she still has many problems. We have a chance to bring back her health to her and the possibility to live a full life. Khatuna needs to be examined - to have a brain CT scan - she will be grateful for any help.

We manage to do a lot of good deeds together, but I still want to ask everyone once again: please, read our posts, tell your friends about them. Do not pass by other people's grief, because there are only three really worthy things in this life, and these are not "plant a tree, build a house and raise a son." The first one - is to help the one who needs help, the second is to protect the one who is defenseless, and most importantly, to give hope to the one who has lost it!

If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better dial the number of any of our beneficiaries. Call them and you will forget about your problems. Because they are nothing in comparison with the problems of those to whom you opened your good heart and came to help in the most difficult moment of their life.

Our problems are noting if compared... Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.

Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now... Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!

Your kindness is a chance for yourself to be happy in everything!

Friends, thanks again to all!
