Мarina: The pain would not go away even for a second. Pieces of flesh are already falling off me. I'm all rotten. My skin festers and bleeds. I could not even imagine that anyone could endure such pain. The only thing I dream about is to die. Death seems so sweet to me. I don't want my son to see his mother decompose before his eyes.” Help me at least die with dignity! Please don't leave my boy alone in this cruel world! He must study. - Don't say that Marina! (I am crying.) We and our Fund will do our best to find an apartment for you in Tbilisi next to the hospital as soon as possible! Why didn’t you write before, why didn’t you believe that there are many caring people in Georgia?!
Marina didn't answer...
Friends, if you know about such horrors, ask, no, demand from the unfortunate to immediately contact our Fund! Pride is a sin, a great sin! And ask for help ... That's why we are human beings! We are created by God to help each other!
May God grant each of us such a son! God, help!
15-year-old Giorgi is the only support in life for his terminally ill mother. Having learned about the severe disease of his wife, he vilely left the sick woman and his one-year-old son, and since then, he has not even tried to find out whether they are alive or dead!
Cancer destroyed the woman's body gradually - as if prolonging its pleasure from seeing the torment of this unfortunate. First, her breast was amputated! She was in the hospital, and her baby was lying next to her in the ward! There was no one to leave little Giorgi with!
“My mom has no one but me. I will do my best to ease her suffering.”
Marina: My poor, my dear ... I would not wish anyone to go through what he went through! I was in the hospital, writhing in pain, screaming from hellish pain, and he did not leave me. He sat next to me in bed and held my hand! He never left me. He has no one but me ... what will happen to him when I die, he is still too young!
(Marina Berishvili, 54, is a cancer patient. Her health condition is grave. Every day her situation worsens. She does not sleep at night, groans from hellish breast pains, her one arm got almost paralyzed, and her body is covered with ulcers and festering wounds. )
Marina: I have such a condition that I should not leave the house. But several times a month I have to go from my village Ingiri, to Tbilisi, to the hospital for manipulations. Can you imagine - it’s 350 kilometers one way by bus, and then back! Sometimes the pain is so strong that I faint and cannot get to the last bus. I don't have money for a minibus. So, I spend the night either in the street, or anywhere. This makes my situation even worse.
“If they considered us human beings, this probably would not happen”
- Marina, was it possible to avoid such consequences after the surgery?
Marina: Probably yes. If I had taken all the medications on time, passed all the necessary examinations, and went to doctors, I probably wouldn’t be a “candidate for death” now.
Why didn't you do all this?
Marina: I will tell you, but please forgive me my emotions and my tears. Imagine, I was left alone, completely alone with my one-year-old son! The first blow was cancer! The second - my husband left me, the third - they told me that I needed to be operated on... And I didn’t know what to do. With whom to leave my baby.
- So you, even knowing about severe disease, did not get treatment, but gave yourself to your son?!
You gave your life! What about your mother? And your relatives?
Marina: My mother is old, she does not know about my illness, and the situation with my only sister is even worse. She also has health problems.
- How did you cope?
Marina: While I was being operated on in the operating theatre, nurses played with Giorgi. And then he was with me in the ward.
- Why didn't you get your treatment completed?
Marina: I was unable to work after the operation, but they disqualified me from getting pension. They said I had already become healthy after the operation and was not entitled to a sickness pension ... They also reduced the allowance - we received 90 GEL per month for two of us! Is not it funny? I think it is! Now they give me a disability pension - 175 lari, and the allowance has grown to 230 lari. But just count how much money we spent for transportation and you will understand that we cannot even buy groceries.
“Most of all I worry about my son. He sees all this, he does everything around the house and studies well and takes care of me”
- I have no words, this is so cruel! It's horrible.
Marina: That’s what I’m saying. Do you think I would buy medications for myself when my child was crying of hunger? What would you do?
- I think any mother would do the same.
Marina: Yes, I'm not only a mother for him ... I'm a father, and all relatives, and a friend, and a brother and sister! We are all alone in this cruel world and no one cares about us. You have no idea how it feels when Giorgi talks to doctors like an adult and asks them: “My mom will not die, will she? Will you manage to cure her?” But the doctors shrug their shoulders and shake their heads. They say that I should thank God for every day I live! They say that people like me don't live long... according to them, I should have died 6 years ago! Sometimes I think that I have already died ... I am a living corpse. And I breathe only so that my son does not get hurt. He will perish alone! What will happen to him?
"If I die, please take care of my son"
- I think Giorgi experiences a lot.
Marina: He does. When I have attacks at night, he does not sleep either. Once he said these words: “Mommy, mommy ... just don’t die, don’t leave me, let’s die together”. When I heard this, I said that contrary to all the laws of medicine, I will live and endure pain as long as I can ... but I can no longer.
Giorgi (14-year-old): When your loved one is in a such state, you must get a grip on yourself. No tears! Just help! If only my mother didn't die of pain! You need to put emotions aside and think rationally. I know that no one will do it but me. I have been taking care of my sick mother for many years. Her pain made me strong. Don't look at me like I'm a baby. I clean the house, cook dinner, feed my mother, give her injections, and treat her wounds.
- It's very difficult, even for an adult!
Giorgi: I don't say it was easy, but she's my mom and it is my responsibility. It would be nice if professionals took care of her, but there are no funds for this. And I take care of my mother as best I can.
"You can rely on me, I'm already big and can handle all the problems"
- Have you ever thought what your life could be like if it weren't for your mother's illness?
Giorgi: I am a realist. There is no point in dreaming, especially about what has already happened. I can't change the past, can I? That's what God intended. The only thing I think about, one can say I dream of - is to alleviate the situation of my mother.
- How can one do that?
Giorgi: If there will be no need to travel 700 kilometers a day back and forth, this would be a real relief. We simply cannot rent anything in Tbilisi with our financial capabilities, even a closet.
- Wouldn't it be difficult for you to leave school, friends and move to another city?
Giorgi: Oh, for the sake of my mother, I can move to another country and not communicate with anyone at all.
- You're just gold! Your mom is lucky to have such a son! You are a gift from God!
Giorgi: Anyone in my place would do the same. I remember when I was little, my mother did not buy medications for herself to buy me bread. Who can be dearer than a mother?
"Don't be afraid, I'll give you an injection and the pain will go away"
- What would you ask our readers for?
Giorgi: The only thing I ask is to somehow help us with accommodation near the hospital in Tbilisi.
Marina: I don't want to die on the bus on the way home. Can you imagine how people will be afraid, how George will worry? I don't even know, but can anyone give us a room?
- We will do our best to alleviate your suffering! The Chernovetskyi Fund is your friend! We never leave friends in trouble!
Marina: Help my son to study! This is the only thing he can do for me, for himself! My kind and dear ones, please help him to get an education! Consider him as your brother, your son, your grandson ... support my son! I ask nothing for myself. The medications I need are too expensive.

Friends, the Chernovetskyi Charity Fund starts a charity campaign: to help Marina and Giorgi. As you know, Fund never stops on ad-hoc help.
It will be a crime to leave this unfortunate woman without attention, first of all, it will be a crime before God and our conscience! Friends, by helping a person in trouble, we make this world kinder and better. It is so important to know that there are good people. Life becomes not so scary, and there is hope for a miracle!
The family is in dire need of food, hygiene products, normal beds, medications to survive.
And they certainly need to move to Tbilisi for a while. Is there anyone who can shelter them? It is vital!
Help them to survive! Consider them your relatives. God will bless you!
If anyone is willing to visit and help them in person, here is their address: Zugdidi municipality, Village Ingiri.
Every time you can help someone, just do it, and rejoice that God answers someone's prayers through you!
We are sure that all together we will manage to save them from imminent death.
