WE HAD NOTHING, WE SAW NOTHING, AND SUDDENLY A WAVE OF LOVE AND GIFTS ROLLED OVER US!

When they brought in the big packages from "Waikiki,” Marikuna spent the whole day trying on clothes.  It's very hard for Mom Nino to tidy up the room – little Mari keeps taking out her and her sister's new things from the dresser: cute dresses, bodysuits for Khatia, tiny shoes, and sneakers. She smiles, grabs them with her little hands, puts them on herself, and tries to dress up her baby sister Khatia.

Surprise is the biggest emotion for Marikuna.  Where did all these new things come from? Some of them she doesn't even know what they are for and she tries to find out from her mom, pulling her by the robe towards the refrigerator and the washing machine, and asking questioningly: "Eh?"

And only Mom Nina knows where all these gifts came from.  Each time, while kissing her baby on her sweet little nose and those big, surprised eyes, she tells her that kind people sent all these things.

- It's good that Mari stopped watching my phone,- Nino says with a smile.  "After she saw herself in your video, she asks to play it every day." She pointed to herself with her finger and said, "Here, Mari," and rejoiced (smiling).

It was so delightful for me to read warm words about my children in the comments:  "little angels," "beauties," "may God protect them"... But there were even more good deeds than kind words. Since I got acquainted with the Fund and your readers, I have felt the support, even in the most critical situations.  Just two weeks ago, Khatia got sick with a virus and needed to be hospitalized.   I called you right away, and the child got everything she needed: transfusions, inhalations. Then we continued the treatment at home, and you brought medications to us.

There was not a single day when we went hungry.  As soon as we started to run out of food, the Fund would allocate funds for new purchases, and I would go grocery shopping.  I bought chicken meat, yoghurt, potatoes, onions, vermicelli, vegetable oil... And speaking of cookies and chocolate, we now have a supply that will be enough for a long time. 

Khatia doesn't have teeth yet, but I already have them! She can only have milk, while I can enjoy chocolate candies!

 I want to thank everyone who fed, clothed, and shod my daughters.  I shared with you about our most difficult times because I knew I could trust you. I could rely on you.   And you understood me like close people and helped us immensely. 

- Is there time for rest now?  And how is your mood?

Nino: I used to forget to eat while I was busy with all the chores, cleaning everything up, and by the time I turned around, it was already night. I used to have lots of Khatia's things accumulating for laundry.    Now our home is not chaotic anymore. The children don't cry while I'm doing the laundry. Mari doesn't fall and doesn't get bruises.

Today I cooked borscht for two days, I can put it in the refrigerator.  We have dairy products, there's a place to store them. But before, I was always struggling, tired of finding solutions - what to cook so that it doesn't spoil, what to use instead of diapers, and how to wash it afterwards, how to entertain Mari without toys and television?

Now I watch cartoons with the children on the new television.  Then, when I put them to bed, I make myself a cup of tea and watch series on a low volume. It's my well-deserved joy at the end of the day (smiles). My mood is much better. It's been a long time since I cried, and I don't want to go back to that state. I've started wearing earrings again (smiles).

Nino sat down for a five-minute break, to relax and unwind, and the kids joined her

 - And don't even think about giving up! There's no turning back.  We want to see you happy.

Nino: I also thought about it. So many people are making an effort for me and my children, so I will also make an effort for myself and pull myself together.  I know, my situation isn't great, but there are situations much worse. There are such terrible, incurable diseases.  God has been merciful.  Maybe with time, everything will work out for us, right?

- Sure!

Nino: When people started coming to our house, I didn't want to appear tearful in front of them.  They came with such warmth, such kindness towards me and the children.  With gifts. Willy-nilly, I pulled myself together to greet them properly. They said so many kind words to me and the kids, caressed them, played with them.  I caught myself starting to smile.  So, little by little I started feeling better.

They came from Gori, from Boshuri.  The girls brought groceries worth a large sum. Marikuna doesn't say many words yet, but she babbled with joy everything she knows:  "mama," "papa," "sister," "grandma." And most of all, she expresses her surprise with the word “Eeh". There was nothing at home, the child had never seen anything like it before, and suddenly gifts rained down on us.  She was overwhelmed with emotions and immediately danced, played with all the toys, ran around, and had fun.

- This is our famous beauty, our little star, all of Georgia fell in love with those incredible blue eyes!  It's great that our little one is being cute and dancing.

Nino: Let her try on and scatter her new clothes as much as she wants.  It doesn't matter, I'll clean up as long as the child is happy (smiles). Oh, you can't stop her.

- Mari, can you show us your favourite new toy?

(She brings a teddy bear and a mouse with a baby mouse.  She takes the teddy bear for herself and puts the mice in her sister's stroller).

- Ah, I see, you're sharing your toys. Not just for yourself, right? Well done! That's what our readers do - they share what they have.

Nino: They are truly wonderful people, genuine!  I'm happy that God has given me the opportunity to meet so many decent people. May God help them in all they do.

- Nino, do the local authorities do anything to improve your housing conditions?

Nino: They said that we should find a better apartment and that the state would pay our rent. We found a new apartment, but there has been silence in response.Similarly, month after month, they promise me that I will finally receive the suspended social allowance. Now they say it will be in June, we'll see. For now, it's all just words. I don't know how to pay for rent and utilities, and of course, I worry about that.
