Mommy, mommy, I'm hungry!

May 2, 2023
"Mom, I'm hungry!" - desperate cries of little Fatima are heard. "Mum, Nedjo is having seizure again!" - Ramazan yells. Nedjo writhes on the floor. Such horrible convulsions happen to the poor child almost every day. "Mum, Mariam ran out of diapers!" - Tsiala is looking for diapers for her sister... At this moment, mom Elene covers her ears with her hands and just wants to jump out of the window and disappear, escaping from the problems that are falling from all sides! But no! She can't do that! Although she has health problems herself, she will never do that! She is a single mother. If she's gone, what then? What will happen to her angels then? What will happen to little Nedjo? He will completely lose his mind! What will happen to little blue-eyed Mariam, who has just learned to walk and now constantly calls for mommy... Or to Tsiala, or Ramazan, or Fatima - the smartest and most talented one? Children don't know when their birthday is. They don't even know what these words mean. They

Such smiles, friends, give meaning to life and bring joy to the Creator, who created us in his own image (Bible, Old Testament)

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!

You're amazing! A thousand likes from all of us for the gifts and emotions

“For the past three months, Mom has been buying us whatever we want,” - says Ramazan. “It's never been like this before. For example, we wanted khinkali and dumplings, and she bought them for us. It's so cool! She even got us curd snacks and pastries.  I wish it could be like this forever!  You're helping Mom, right? Will you continue to be friends with us?”

You're great friends. You do so much for us.  My sneakers are awesome!  The new sofa is fantastic! Everyone loves to lie on it. Mom's gifts have arrived too - a refrigerator and a gas stove. Now Mom doesn't worry much about food, she worries just about where we'll live.

Single mom Elene managed to save five kids from hunger, trusting the readers of the Fund. But other serious problems are still left. A family with a one-year-old girl and 10-year-old critically ill Nejo is at risk of being put on the streets

– What did we manage to help you with, Elene? Did it become a little easier?

Elene: The thing I feared the most in the world was that hunger would kill us all. You've relieved me of that panic-stricken fear that never left me. With God's help, with your help, I have the confidence that we won't starve to death. Whenever the food was running out, and fear attacked me, I would call the Fund, and they immediately transferred me funds for groceries.  Not just for grains but for proper food – meat, fish, oil, fruits.  Right now, I have chicken and fish in my freezer. I think the kids' favorite activity has become opening the refrigerator (she smiles).   We didn't even have a refrigerator before, you remember that. Even my tiny food reserves would go bad in a day.

Elene: "I think the children's favorite activity is opening the refrigerator

And when I cooked on our old two-burner stove, we had to call the fire department.  It was leaking gas!

Ramazan (13-year-old): The flames would rise so high, as if a genie would appear any moment!  And we would scream, and mom would quickly turn off the gas.  We were afraid to approach it. We would eat undercooked pasta and potatoes, just to avoid any fire hazards.

With the new stove, you can fry potatoes properly

Cooking has become safe. The "fire genie" no longer appears from the new stove

Tsiala (12-year-old): I also remember that horror. Now mom has a great gas stove. She takes care of it, makes sure nothing spills. And I use it carefully too.  We also have a new thing in the kitchen - a cabinet. We put all the dishes in there. Before, everything was piled on top.

Ramazan: The old sofa's "guts" (foam and springs - ed.) were coming out. And some metal parts stuck into your body.  Suddenly something pricked you when you sat on it.  But this new one is soft and comfortable.

Children like this sofa. It's soft, cozy, and doesn't prick like the old one

Elene: What else is new? My little girl Mari behaves much better when she's well cared for and has a diaper on. Thanks to you, I bought a large supply of diapers. If only I had the means before, she wouldn't have cried so much. She's a wonderful girl, and she's not cranky.

"When I have diapers and a 'not hungry' tummy, I won't cry"

- Have you met anyone from our readers?

Elene: Sure! But I didn't remember their names.  I was so happy when I saw that they brought groceries that everything flew out of my head.  Sorry about that. I was taken aback, got excited...

When you first posted, a husband and wife came by their SUV.  Oh, the trunk was full of groceries: seven kilos of potatoes, five kilos of lobio, the same amount of sugar, rice, pasta, four liters of sunflower oil, soda for the kids, candies, cookies, chocolate... Good people, warm-hearted, and generous. I love such people. They don't forget about others when they live comfortably themselves.

A wonderful woman, a doctor, a neurologist, came to visit us. She brought the children a cake and pastries.  Fatima opened the door for her, and she gave the child the cake.  She gave her that emotion.  My daughter's face lit up - her eyes immediately sparkled. And she shared the cake with her siblings.

Once, we all left the house to visit you at the Fund and left a note with our phone number on the door in case someone came to visit us.  And indeed, during that time, a kind woman came.  We got in touch, met - she wanted to give Ramazan and Tsiala shoes. And she fulfilled their wish.  The older kids got new shoes, as you can see.

Ramazan: "For three months, we've had delicious food, I hope it continues that way..."

Someone paid off our electricity debt... I don't know your names, but I already know your souls!  They are wonderful, beautiful, and compassionate.  I admire how doing good deeds is like a constant job for you. You never stop rescuing people, and I read all your stories. Sometimes they are such difficult cases, seemingly hopeless, with so much suffering, yet you take them on fearlessly.  You even pull them out of poverty and illness.  You've given me so much inspiration!

- Elena, did the government or local authorities get involved in resolving the problems in any manner?

Elene: Ramazan and Ciala were enrolled for free in a football section. We have a new stadium here in Gldani, that's good. But they don't want to help with housing.  Soon (within a month), they will evict us.  The landlady is selling this apartment and doesn't want to hear anything else. I'm looking for an apartment for 500-600 lari (as much as I can afford from the social allowance), but there's nothing for that price.  There's nothing available for less than 1000-800 lari.  And when they find out I have five children, the conversation is short – 'no.'  It's a situation that can drive one crazy.  Being on the streets with five children... But I won't lose hope because you are with us... I have hope, and a great plea: please, help us...

We already know that it's not possible to solve all of a family's problems in one go.  That's why, friends, you have the opportunity to continuously support families, even those from completed projects, and offer your help. For Elena, a mother of five children, the housing issue is crucial.  If you know how to solve the problem (by providing space, paying rent, or offering another option), please help the Chelidze family.  The family also regularly needs food, children's clothing, and diapers.

If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better call any of our beneficiaries, and all your problems will seem unimportant to you, compared with the problems of those to whom you helped in the most difficult moment of their lives.

Our problems are nothing if compared... Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.

Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now... Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, and talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!

Friends, there is one more request: if you know about the misfortune of a neighbor or friend do a godly deed, drop us an email at: office-fsp@fsp.ge

Your kindness is a chance for yourself to be happy!

Friends, thanks again to each of you!
