Alexey recalls that fateful day with horror. He survived by miracle. If not for divine intervention, his son Giorgi would have been orphaned, and his wife Ketevan widowed. God! We live on the edge every day, and nothing is certain! Aleksi: That day started like any other. I went to the field, as usual. But fate had a terrible trial in store for me. An enraged bull attacked me suddenly, without warning. The animal threw me off my horse and tossed me around like a toy, and it seemed like it was going to crush me with its powerful hooves. That day, I was born again. Let's unite and support the family of Aleksi Dimitrishvili. By helping others, we help ourselves as well, bringing us closer to God and to each other.

The bull trampled me and tossed me like a rag doll until I lost consciousness... But the most terrible wound the terrible animal inflicted on my beloved family!

"Now I'm a cripple, and I was the breadwinner! Who will feed and clothe them? We've already sold everything, so we don't starve to death!"

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Alexey recalls that fateful day with horror. He survived by miracle. If not for divine intervention, his son Giorgi would have been orphaned, and his wife Ketevan widowed. God! We live on the edge every day, and nothing is certain!

The bull tossed me around like a rag doll and wanted to trample me.

– It's a miracle! Probably no one thought you would survive.

Aleksi: It was terrifying. At first, I didn't even understand what had happened. Everything happened so fast, and I found myself in the air. The hospital staff said they couldn't believe I survived. My lung was torn, ribs broken, and my spine injured. I don't even know how many liters of fluid they removed from me. But despite not having fatal injuries, I haven't felt like a human being for the past two years.  I can't take a few steps without getting out of breath, my back hurts terribly, and, most sadly, I can't work anymore.

'I can't take two steps, I can't say two sentences without getting out of breath... And these medications are incredibly expensive.'

- Does that mean your family is left without a livelihood?

Aleksi: Yes! I don't even know who is suffering more right now. Sometimes I feel like I've let them down. As long as I could, I didn't spare myself; I worked so my wife and son wouldn't go hungry. We don't own anything; we only have each other.

- What about this house? Are you renting it?

Aleksi: No! We don't have anything of our own. We don't have an address or a registration. We live like homeless people. This is a friend's house; he let us stay here. Sometimes the neighbors help, bringing us food. In winter, a neighbor brought firewood. Thanks to him, we didn't freeze. That's how we live. Everything here belongs to someone else.

"This is a friend's house where he let us to stay."

Giorgi: No, not everything!  I have one thing that's mine! Come, I'll show you! This is Vazha! Isn't he cute? Look how tiny he is; he never leaves my side. I love him so much! He's both a friend and a toy to me!"

"This kitten is both my friend and my toy!"

- Don't you have any other toys?

Giorgi: Dad promised to buy me a bicycle. We even saved up for it together, but then that nasty bull almost killed him! So, I gave all the bike money to Mom to buy medications for him. That's how I ended up without a bicycle but with Vazha!

"Dad promised to buy me a bicycle, but all the money we saved for it, I gave to Mom to buy medications for Dad."

- What can ease your suffering?

Aleksi: I really need to complete my treatment. When the doctors told me approximately how much the rehabilitation would cost, I just waved it off. It was cheaper for me to die than to get treated. And there's no one to ask for help. We don't have parents, and our relatives are also living in poverty. No one is obligated to help you. We didn't even get an allowance. Because we don’t have registration. Now they said they might start giving us allowance... We'll see.

"My dad will get better someday, but for now, I help Mom around the house."

- What do you live on?

Aleksi: My wife Ketevan had to shoulder the entire burden of the family. She goes out to work in the vineyards.  They pay her pennies, which we use to buy medicine and food. But again, if it weren't for the neighbors, we would have died either from the cold or from hunger. God! How I have let my family down... Now our only hope is you!"

"Dad couldn't keep his promise and couldn't give Giorgi the bicycle. Now he feels very bad about it."

- You know that all of Georgia reads our posts. I'm sure many will want to stand by you and help.

Aleksi: I know, that's why I reached out to you.  There's nothing to expect from the state. They've even stopped paying social allowance. When I ask for help with medications or groceries, they throw me 300 lari once a year like a bone to a hungry dog and think that's enough. But 300 lari isn't enough even for my medications and napkins. It's uncomfortable for a young man to talk about this. But if you help me with rehabilitation, if I can become a fully functional person again, then I'll be able to provide for my family myself! I'll even be able to help others.

My child sleeps on a broken bed...

- Ketevan, your husband is embarrassed. Maybe you can tell us what would make your life easier?

Ketevan: I'm embarrassed asking too, but of course, we need a lot. Our washing machine is broken, the refrigerator doesn't work. And Giorgi really wants a bicycle. Papa always kept all his promises to him, and now he's really upset that he left him without this gift.  Also, he sleeps on a broken couch, and if we could replace that too, it would be great.

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Aleksi's story is not only a tale of miraculous salvation, but also a powerful reminder of the power of faith and kindness. In difficult times, the help and support of our neighbors can be the light that guides us through the darkness. Extend a helping hand, perform a good deed, and perhaps you will become part of someone's miracle.

Let's unite and support the family of Aleksi Dimitrishvili. By helping others, we help ourselves as well, bringing us closer to God and to each other.

Aleksi and his family are grateful for the second chance they were given, and they believe that it is good deeds and charity that attract God's grace into our lives. In the Orthodox tradition, helping our neighbor is one of the central tenets of the faith. When we lend a helping hand, we not only support those in need, but we turn our faith into action, putting into practice the commandments of Christ.

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Telavi, 5 Ninoshvili Street.
