Inga Kariauli

"Lord, how I want to live a little more!"
₾ 488.5

81-year-old Inga Kariauli survives in the unbearably scary conditions of poverty and human indifference. She lives her last days in a dark and cold room, where the source of "light and heat" is a single bulb hanging from the ceiling. The daughter and grandson of the I disability group is her family, there is no one else around.
Take a good look at the picture, at the sad eyes of this old woman, for whom life has become a complete nightmare. Being a cancer patient, Inga Kariauli for several years now, practically can’t walk, sees poorly, suffers from hypertension and coronary heart disease, suffocates from lack of air. She often goes hungry, because most of the pension is given to her little grandson, who is a disabled person in group I.
Every time when we are preparing such materials, the question arises - where do the local authorities or the deputy, who they voted for, look? Do they not care about the fate of people who honestly served the Motherland in their youth, and now, in their old age, are forgotten and rejected by all!
Friends, while the authorities are silent and inactive, our human duty is to help this elderly woman, because only by joint efforts we will be able to wrest her from poverty and despair!
We talked to Inga Kariauli and asked her to tell about her life, problems and experiences:
 - Tell me, please, how do you manage to survive in such terrible conditions?
Inga Cariauli: only with God's help! Do you know what it is? That the Lord has revealed your Foundation in my life, which for several years now, is taking care of me.
- Does anyone else help you?
Inga Cariauli: now nobody helps you, nobody needs me anymore. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. But the operation was not needed, radiation was done and they said that I would live! Thank you, of course, for this ... But my life turned into a struggle for survival, but no strength!
-And exactly what helps the Fund Chernovetsky?
Inga Cariauli: I am registered in the Home Care program. A doctor often comes to me, and a nurse comes almost every day. Golden girls! They treat me like my own grandmother ... shots do, pressure is measured, drugs bring ...
-Tell about yourself, what is your profession, where did you work?
Inga Cariauli: I am a biologist and worked all my life in a research laboratory. Was married, but unsuccessfully. We did not get along with the characters and divorced immediately after the birth of the daughter. I alone brought her up, without any help ... In 1989, when actions for the independence of Georgia began in Tbilisi, I considered it my duty to take part in them. I still can not forget April 9th. On that day, as you know, the Soviet Army brutally cracked down on the action participants.
-Are you hurt too?
Inga Cariauli: I, in particular, suffered from tear gas, was poisoned and was in hospital for several months. As a specialist, I can safely say that it was a chemical gas, from which hundreds of people were poisoned ...
- Can you show photos of your youth?
Inga Cariauli: Oh, in such a chaos that prevails in this room, how can you find something? My old junk is packed in these boxes. All this needs to be taken and thrown away, but the hand does not rise, it is a pity to say goodbye to youth ...
-When you come to you, you immediately smell the dampness ...
Inga Cariauli: you can see the unbearable conditions here. It is very damp, the walls are covered with mold, the floor is full of holes, is about to fail, I am even afraid to walk, not once fell and injured my leg, in the winter a cold wind blows from the windows ... In general, it is very hard.
- Why didn't you ask the authorities, the deputy for help? It is their duty to help people, take care of them ...
Inga Cariauli: I can't walk and write them ... Help me on this, please. Maybe they will repair the floor for me, the boards of which are terribly loose, and I am afraid of failing. I heard that the mayor's office is carrying out repairs to socially unprotected families ... I have a daughter, but she looks after her sick son, who suffers from cerebral palsy and I try not to disturb her ... She is also socially unprotected. She has such terrible trouble, and here I am with my problems ...
-We will write a letter to the deputy with a request to assist you in this matter. Also write a letter to the mayor of the city. We will see how they will react, and if they do not help, we will write about it. We have about half a million readers. And let them be ashamed of not helping their voters, especially the sick and frail elderly. After all, helping the people is the holy duty of every deputy! Well, how are you feeling at this stage?
Inga Cariauli: I feel very bad. The bones ache, my head is spinning from high pressure, there is not enough air, my whole body aches, my heart aches, I constantly cry.…
-And is there any money for medicines? What is your “income”?
Inga Cariauli: drugs? What the nurse of your Foundation brings ... I give my pension and social benefit to my sick grandson. He has such a damned disease that requires a lot of money. My meager pension is at least something to himit helps ... I only leave for bread ...
-Tell me, do you believe in the afterlife?
Inga Cariauli: for most people, this is the main question of life, but uncertainty is always scary. The afterlife is incomprehensible by our earthly mind, but I believe that there is life after death. After the death of the flesh, the soul of a person enters the world of eternity, and to go to heaven, you need to live life on earth honestly and follow the commandments ... Unfortunately, this is not always the case, but you need to confess and continue on the road to God!
-Do you pray often?
Inga Cariauli: I constantly pray in the shower for my grandson. My dream - that he recovered, began to walk ... Of course, I pray the Lord for my health. Yes, I am an old person (crying, - approx.), But I don’t want to die yet, I want to live a little more ...
Friends, as practice shows, to raise funds for medicines and treatment of the elderly is extremely difficult. Nevertheless, for 7 years of work, our foundation has been able to provide “targeted assistance” to hundreds of pensioners. And it became possible thanks to caring people who more than once responded to our request for help!
Any, even the smallest amount you can donate, will alleviate the suffering of this elderly woman. She needs medicines, hygiene items, food and ... human attention.
Those who are ready to help, you can transfer funds to the account of our Foundation: GE15TB7194336080100003 or GE64BG0000000470458000 (appointment: Inga Cariauli). You can also transfer money from our site.
