Dear God, thank you for hearing our prayers ...

“Dear God, thank you, for hearing our prayers! Thank you, friends, for praying with us! - says Nino Lagvilava and immediately tells us the good news: “You know, our littlesister was born, we named her Sophia. She was born on January 19, on the holy day of Baptism of Christ.”

“May God bless you! - says Mariam, the mother of eight children. "Thank you, for bringing us hope again!"

The Lagvilava family had to face many difficulties in their life, but despite that, the family keeps living according to Biblical precepts and trusts in God's mercy. We told you the story about their problems in one of our recent posts: https://chernovetskyifund.ge/en/projects/623-lagvilava/.

Mariam told us then through tears how her heart breaks when she sees her children sleeping on torn mattresses spread out on the moldy floors; how hard is for her to realize that her children often go to bed hungry...

- How did your life change after our publication?

Mariam: May the Lord bless you! Many thanks to the Chernovetskyi Fund and all kind people who responded to your post. They called us, they came to visit us and brought us gifts. Thank you for the highchair, for the bed! It's so big and comfortable, the kids don't want to get off it. And once again I want to thank everyone for giving my children such a fest. (Mariam burst into tears.)

 - What did you remember most? Do you remember the names of people who helped you?

Mariam: I remember, of course. I will never forget these people. Tako Gigauri called me and a few days later she came to visit us with her friends. They brought us baby food, diapers, toys and sweets, and wished my children a Happy New Year. The children were so happy, they hadn't laughed so much for a long time. They had a real holiday that day! I will never forget the lady who first called and then came to visit us. She brought us lots of gifts and handed me a package with money. When I asked her name, she said that it didn't matter, that she wished us happiness and would come to visit us again. God bless her ...

 – Did the local authorities somehow react on our post? Did they provide any help to your family?

Mariam: No... I addressed them asking to fix the service lines - everything leaks here, it’s very damp at home, mold appears constantly. But they ignore my requests. But I want to thank the Townhall, they satisfied my request, and brought us foodstuff.

- What does this support and help mean to you?

Mariam: It means a lot! First, you gave us hope for the better future, we felt that we were not alone. Kids have got a new bed now, a table, chairs. They can finally eat and sleep normally like other people and not on the floor, as they used to... And most importantly, thank you very much for bringing us the holiday! My children have never been so happy about the New Year as it was this year. They had a lot of gifts and sweets, and most importantly - attention.

 - Guys, what did you like most? Which of the gifts?

Nino (11-year-old): Thank you very much for the gifts! To be honest, I am most happy that they gave us a lot of baby food and diapers, because now my sister Mzekala sleeps peacefully at night and does not cry of being wet and or hungry.

Anastasia (10-year-old): I liked everything, especially the bed. It's so big and soft, we all fit on it. The table and chairs are also very beautiful.

Buka (4-year old):  I liked the toys, especially the blocks.

Lizi (7-year-old): I liked everything. We had such a merry New Year! They brought us toys, brand new clothes and many delicious sweets.

 - I am very happy to hear that you liked the gifts. Mariam, maybe you have some more problems that our readers can help you with?

Mariam: I cannot express my gratitude to you in words! As you know, on January 19, I gave birth to my daughter, our little Sofia, and so our biggest problem now is baby formula. Even the cheapest pack of formula is still very expensive for us, and it is only enough for three days. Another big problem we have - is the refrigerator. Ours went out of order and I use it as a cupboard. I store the foodstuff on the balcony now, but spring will come soon ... I want to thank everyone again for their help, for the fest, for their attention and warmth.

Friends, thanks to everyone who helped the Lagvilava family! I hope that we will keep supporting this wonderful family, because they still have many problems.

We manage to do a lot of good deeds together, but I still want to ask everyone once again: please, read our posts, tell your friends about them. Do not pass by other people's grief, because there are only three really worthy things in this life, and these are not "plant a tree, build a house and raise a son." The first one - is to help the one who needs help, the second is to protect the one who is defenseless, and most importantly, to give hope to the one who has lost it!

  If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better dial the number of any of our beneficiaries. Call them and you will forget about your problems. Because they are nothing in comparison with the problems of those to whom you opened your good heart and came to help in the most difficult moment of their life.

Our problems are noting if compared... Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.
