The man in the box is just like alive!

Children are enchanted with seeing a real live man on TV. Sure, they saw that before as well, but not so close and not so clearly! And now they will be waiting for cartoons and football!

“Wow, you can even touch it! If they show food, it will probably look like a real as well! It would be cool to get it out of there! But now we have candy. Do you know how many candies we have? Probably 200 kilos!"

Six-year-old Vano pulls my hand - he also wants to express his gratitude: “I was so happy with sweets and toys! I've never seen so much in my life! I also have a real car, I tried to outdrive Giorgi on his scooter. It is great, isn't it? Have you had such a cool car when you were a kid? You won't fit there, otherwise I would give you a ride! You are a good woman."

Their happiness has no limit. But my heart is still sad. How long will it last? For how long will we remember about this family? How much more can we help them?

“I could not have imagined that so many problems could be solved at once,” smiles Kristina. – “And I couldn't even believe that these all belongs to us now: the TV, the refrigerator, and the washing machine. As if we won the lottery. There are so many good people, they took care of us, they tried to make us happy! May God give them joy and happiness!"

- Perhaps you met some of the readers in person?

Kristina: Of course, there were readers who called us and then came to visit us. They did not introduce themselves and I was embarrassed to ask their names. Although I remember one girl by name. Tamuna was the first to arrive, she brought us food (pasta, vegetable oil), clothes for children. Then one organization sent us sweets, a bicycle, and a ball.

Santa has come to us for the New Year! A young tall guy dressed in Santa’s costume gave the children a show. That was so kind of him! In his bag, he put pencils, toy cars, clothes, sweets. And he brought a Christmas tree with toys. He guessed that we didn't have our own tree. He played with the children, talked to them, paid attention to everyone. He offered to play hide and seek, and when the children scattered, he quietly disappeared. And before leaving he said to me: "I will come again next year." (Smiles.)

Some people helped us with foodstuffs: they brought us meat, cereals, potatoes, lobio, apples, bananas, sweets, “Barambino” chocolates, waffles, cookies. I still have some supply of cereals, and the rest does not linger for long in a large family.

- Boys, you probably share the bike?

Vano: Gio feels comfortable to ride on it, so he took it for himself. But he lends it to me. 

Gio: I go shopping by bike. But it needs some small repairments now.

Vano: I tell you all the time that you ride it a lot.

Gio: Not at all, it’s okay.

- Vano, what did you take from the gifts?

Vano: Plasticine. I make interesting things with it. I can make spiders, all kinds of animals, houses, trees.

Kristina: Now that we have a dining table, finally, the whole family can have meals together. I cook, set the table, and my husband and I wait for our boys to come from school. It's a completely different mood when we all have lunch together. I'm so happy!

We gave a new large bed to our children - our sons sleep on it. Baby Dunya sleeps with me.

Another place where the whole family gets together is TV. On weekends, my men watch films together, and in the meantime, I can do something around the house without fuss. My husband loves to watch the news, the boys love watching cartoons and movies, and I love watching some TV series or talk shows to relax. An old black-and-white TV we used to have can’t be compared to this one.

- Kristina, who helps you around the house? For example, is there anyone to help you with the washing?

Kristina: In this sense, my folks are pretty quick in the uptake. Arthur can easily load the laundry into the washing machine, and then hang it on a line. (Smiles.)

Artur: And what is there to do when we have such a modern machine? You only have to turn it on, select a program, push "Start", and that's it! Then you just have to take out the laundry and hang it. It’s wonderful!

Vano: Dad, you forgot that you should first put things in and add detergent.

Artur: It was just an example, son... My wife used to wash laundry with hands in cold water - it was really hard. How could I help then? And now I wash it every day.

Kristina: Or, for instance a fridge - I used to ask neighbors for cold water in summer. To be honest, we don’t have enough income now to fill the fridge with food. But at least when I cook something, it won't spoil.

Artur: It’s needless to say, you helped our family very much. We got comfort - we are not in torment anymore. On behalf of my family, I want to thank all the kind people. May God give you all a good life!

- Do you have any problems now that you cannot cope with on your own?

Artur: Well, not really a problem... If there were building materials, I would do the renovations, and our neighbors would help me with this. It's very cold here, the wind is blowing in the house. Dunya is catching a cold and coughing.

- Now it is time to ask you in detail about your baby.

Kristina: Our daughter was born in the Ortachala maternity hospital №4. Her weight was 2.300 kg, and her height - 41 cm.
Dunechka is a calm girl, sleeps well at night. She is formula-fed. I buy the formula with my pension. Actually, everyone is eager to help me with a baby, but Vanechka is the best at that. He gently rocks her, he can quickly calm her down.

Vano: I give her a pacifier, and her eyes instantly close. Sometimes I sing.

- What do you sing, Vano?

Vano: Some contemporary songs. (Smiles.) She likes it.

- I am not surprised! She feels love in your voice. Now there will be an adult question to your mom and dad. How do the things go regarding the help from the state? Was there any news since the post was published?

Artur: We are supposed to get social allowance in Tbilisi, but we live here now. Several times, even during the lockdown, they brought us food right here, at this address. That's all. But it is good. We didn't expect more.
