“All four of us sleep on the floor, we warm each other. I am afraid that my daughters will get sick, the cold from the floor creeps to the bones,” mother Lela (41 years old) cries bitterly. The poor woman and her three wonderful daughters - Mariam (5-year-old), Ekaterina (9-year-old), Lizi (11-year-old) - are desperately fighting for survival. They have to live in a quite empty rented apartment without any amenities, and sleep on the bare floor! It’s impossible to imagine anything like that happening in a European country! Our compatriot Lela Elbakidze is a single mother of three daughters, and she is sick. Friends, we are her last hope!

You brought light into our life!

Now my children have future!

“It’s for the first time we fell asleep on a sofa and not on a floor” - teared up Lela. Mommy of three little beauties cannot believe it happened to her! Little Mari shows us gymnastic tricks near a brand-new TV.

“Cartoons! I love to watch them so much, it was my biggest dream!” - her eyes are shining, she is full of energy. – “And Lizi likes to watch Harry Potter”.

Lizi will become a famous doctor and will cure many people, probably also those who, in such difficult times saved their family from starving to death.

They have lots of foodstuffs now, a TV set which they were dreaming about, a huge sofa – these sweet girls who have experienced all the sorrows of life and overwhelming poverty have all that now. But not even the numerous gifts - but love and kindness that our benefactors have enveloped them with - this is the main reward for the family for all the years of suffering! https://chernovetskyifund.ge/en/projects/668-elbakidze/

“We took a deep breath, there is change for the better and we hope that everything will be fine. God bless you!” - Lela does not hold back her joy. Now she has a lot of new friends next to her and she also knows she could count on the support of the Chernovetskyi Fund - with such support she will succeed in her battle for survival!

Friends, let's thank the Lord all together for his mercy, for this joy of sharing our bread with neighbors! Each good deed brings us closer to Him and this is the way we glorify God.

- Lela, how did your life change after we have published an article about you?

Lela: Our life has changed a lot. We’ve got a moral support - thanks to your post, we have found many friends, our phone is not silent anymore. We are not alone, and this gives us hope for the better future. Thank you very much! And of course, your help... You can’t even imagine what it means for a mother to see her children smiling. When you brought us the TV, they literally started jumping up and down for joy. And they smiled so sweet when they fell asleep on the couch, and not on the floor for the first time. (Lela burst into tears.) Our room has changed a lot, there is no longer a need to put food and dishes in bags - there is enough space for everything in our new kitchen cupboard. I will never tire of thanking you and your readers. If not for your publication, none of this would have happened. Thank you! God bless you!

- Lela, which of your new friends would you like to single out? Do you remember their names?

Lela: I want to express my gratitude to everyone, without exception, who read the publication about us and supported us in any manner.  I will always pray for you! I would especially like to mention Magda, who visited us together with her friend Nino. They brought us a lot of gifts. Before they left, Magda gave me her phone number and told me not to hesitate to call her directly as soon as we will need help. I also want to mention the employees of one popular TV company. They made a surprise for little Mari - they brought her the roller skates she dreamed of. I also want to thank the teacher and the children of one of the schools of Nadzaladevi district, who read the post about us and decided to help us. Their visit has become a real joy for us. Lord, I remember that, and I will never forget; will never tire of thanking everyone who supported us. And, of course, a special thanks to the Fund - nothing would have happened without you. Thank you!

- Was there any response to your problems from the local authorities? Did they somehow react to our post?

Lela: The local authorities always helped me - they partially pay for rent. And of course, they provided me help after your publication - they brought me a pack with foodstuffs.

- What does this support and help mean to you?

Lela: Thanks to this help and support we managed to survive in this, probably the hardest, period in our life. They suspended paying us social allowance and we were left without livelihood; we were literally doomed to starve to death. But thanks to your support, we not only survived (we haven't seen so many foodstuffs in a long time), but our living conditions have also changed dramatically. Now we have all the basic furniture, a TV set which makes my children so happy, and also toys, sweets, and other gifts. We took a deep breath, there is change for the better and we hope that everything will be fine. God bless you!

- Girls, which gifts did you like most?

Ekaterina (9-year-old):(Eagers to be first to answer) TV was my biggest dream!

- What do you like to watch?

Ekaterina: I watch everything, but most of all I love to watch cartoons

- What else did you like?

Ekaterina: All the pencils, and paints, and markers.

- Do you like to draw?

Ekaterina: I love to draw still life, I imagine them first, and then I draw.

– Who is your favorite painter?

Ekaterina: Niko Pirosmani. I dream to become a painter too. I will draw a present for you, and I also want to thank you for everything.

Lizi (11-year-old): I love to sit on the sofa and watch the TV, especially stories about Harry Potter and educational programs too.

- Lizi, Ekaterina wants to become a painter, and what do you want to be?

Lizi: I do my best to study well to become doctor and to help people. Thank you for helping everyone.

- What are you dreaming about?

Lizi: I hope that one day I will have my own room, there will be many bookshelves and a beautiful drawer with mirror...

(Little Mari approaches us).

Mari (5-year-old): Thank you, I love roller skates, TV, and soft toys... (Runs away and then comes back in a minute.) And the yummies too... Besides that, I will do gymnastics. (Runs away again).

– Maybe you have some more problems that our readers can help you to solve?

Lela: You did a lot for us - I still can hardly believe that all these happened to me. Of course, our biggest problem is housing. Our rent agreement is in effect till September, and then... I don’t want even to think about that. We also have a small table-top gas stove that they lent us, and when we’ll return it back, we will be left without hot meals. But the most important that I want to say is - thank you! Thank you, indeed! You and all the good people you have united are doing a truly noble thing. And most importantly, you give hope at the most difficult moment - when hope is almost lost.I’d like to thank everyone again! May God bless you!

***

Friends, thanks to everyone who helped the Elbakidze family. I hope that we will keep supporting this wonderful family because they still have many problems. We have a chance to improve their living conditions. The family needs a gas stove so they won’t be left without hot food, and they will be grateful for any help.

We manage to do a lot of good deeds together, but I still want to ask everyone once again: please, read our posts, tell your friends about them. Do not pass by other people's grief, because there are only three really worthy things in this life, and these are not "plant a tree, build a house and raise a son." The first one - is to help the one who needs help, the second is to protect the one who is defenseless, and most importantly, to give hope to the one who has lost it!

If you have a heavy heart because of everyday problems or unresolved issues, as a distraction just see our posts on Facebook, or better dial the number of any of our beneficiaries. Call them and you will forget about your problems. Because they are nothing in comparison with the problems of those to whom you opened your good heart and came to help in the most difficult moment of their life.

Our problems are noting if compared... Here are true misfortunes, in front of your eyes! Just thank the Lord for what you have. You are the happiest person in the world! Remember this and help those in need.

Unfortunately, problems of this and other families do not end here and now... Therefore, from time to time, look through the stories of unhappy people on our website, talk to them. Every time you dial the Phone of an unhappy person, God is blessing you! For sure! Go on helping these families! This is the best service to the Lord!

Your kindness is a chance for yourself to be happy in everything!

Friends, thanks again to all!
