  - Dear Natela, did your life change after the publication of your story?

  Natela: You know, Giorgi divided the life of our family into two - before and after he appeared. Every day we struggle for his survival, we live in fear that tomorrow we will have no money to buy him food. This is how we existed for many years, abandoned by everyone, until you appeared in our life. I already had nothing to feed the boy, Giorgi was fading away in front of us, and I was fading away together with him. You know, he is everything to me, I can’t imagine how to live without him - we are together for 24 hours. My poor child... And now, thanks to you, we have several boxes of porridge, all the necessary medications and hygiene products. Well, a large plasma TV is the best gift for both of us. In the evenings, before I put my grandson to bed, I turn on a concert or TV series. Giorgi listens to TV attentively, and I have a little bit of time to forget about everything...

Food, medications, and diapers will be enough for Giorgi for 2-3 weeks...

  - Natela, what do you remember the most? Maybe you’d like to single someone out of your new friends?

  Natela: I would like to thank everyone who responded to our cry for help. I could not even imagine that there are so many caring people in our country who live next to us. Imagine, one man called us and asked what Giorgi needed the most, and sent us a parcel with food, medications, and clothes. He did not even introduce himself, he wanted to remain anonymous. How can I not mention such kindness and generosity? I am very grateful to you all!

  - Natela, was there any respond from the local authorities?

  Natela: The social allowance and pension are the only help we get from the state. Well, unfortunately, there was no response, and I am not surprised.

  - Did you expect to get such support and help from the friends of the Fund? Tell me about your emotions.

  Natela: All these years we have been living from hand to mouth, trying to somehow survive in this cruel world, where there seemed to be no place for any hope. There is no point in deceiving ourselves - Giorgi will never turn healthy. The purpose of my life is to just alleviate his daily suffering. We experienced so many disappointments during this time, when even the closest ones turned away from us. So, I did not give myself hope, I knew that everyone had their own worries. Who needs us? We have been living in constant anxiety for so many years that I forgot when I was happy about something for the last time... But the Lord heard my prayers, and you appeared in the life of our family. My God, how much love and care my poor Giorgi has got in this short period time! My heart bleeds, when I look at my poor sick grandson, but now I have the belief that we are not alone while facing our troubles - there are people around us we can rely on who support us!

  Natela: Unfortunately, our worries about Giorgi's illness become even stronger because of our financial situation. You can see in what conditions we live. We barely make ends meet and taking care of a sick child costs a lot - we don’t have that money. The most important thing for me is that my grandson is not hungry, and he can only eat porridge. He vomits after having any other food, his body stopped taking it. We need at least one pack of porridge per day, it costs from 7 to 12 GEL per pack. Thanks to you I have several boxes of porridge which will be enough for about 2-3 weeks. What should we do next? The medications our boy needs to take to survive are expensive. How can I buy them? How to choose between food and medications for the child? In short, any help will be a huge gift for us, be it cereals, medications, hygiene products or clothes. I beg you - please, don’t leave us! We fight every day for the life of our child, do not leave us alone in this unequal war against death, poverty, and despair!
