Needles keep piercing her heart all day long. The first one starts to prick when she has nothing to put on to school. Mom washed her only blouse, and now she has to cover the darned holes in her jacket with hand.
The second needle starts to prick on her way to school. The school is far away, and it is very difficult for her to walk. She has heart problems since childhood. The next needles appear when she cannot buy a bun at school. Everyone eats, but she does not. She says she is not hungry. And her heart starts hurting even more: either because of lying, or from hunger. And so it goes on every day... By the end of the day, there are hundreds of needles in her heart, and they sting a lot. Sometimes they prick her so hard that tears start coming from her eyes...

Our dream came true: we lie in a warm bed

“For the first time in our lives, we are not worried when it’s raining outside. Thanks to kind people, today we know that we will not get wet, and our house will not be flooded with water. Those who never experienced that will never understand what a wonderful feeling it is when you are not afraid to get wet in a downpour. Sometimes it seems to me that my beautiful new life is a dream, and I am afraid to wake up. I would never have imagined that my house would be completely covered with the roof.
Thank God for letting me live to see my children wearing the beautiful clothes, to see their radiant and joyful faces. It is a very good feeling when my children have shoes and their feet do not get wet when they go to school with beautiful clothes on instead of darned ones. Both me and my family were born again.”
Pikria: Thank God we somehow got out of that hell. Dear, it rains all the time outside during this period, but it is dry at our house, and we feel calm. It's windy outside, but we already have good windows and doors, and we're warm. At first, I could not imagine it, but now I think that I am the happiest person, because I met so many kind people who helped us.
It was the first time my children saw so many sweets and food together. Children think it's a holiday. For them, delicious foods are associated with the New Year or some holiday. And today is a real holiday for them and a gift from God. Our dream was to watch programs on a big TV screen, to see the world with different eyes. And it came true for us - we moved from misfortune to happiness. I did not expect that there are still people in the world who are worried about your pain, anxiety, or troubles. It turned out I was wrong.
– I am very happy that faith in good people has returned to you. I thank them for their help and support. Which of your new friends would you single out?
Pikria: Once again I want to thank everyone! I will be grateful to everyone for the rest of my life. A lot of people contacted us, made friends, expressed their willingness to help. I remember the warm words of all people. It is very important nowadays. It's nice to feel support and love.
My children love our friends very much. For instance, Mrs. Khatuna, who brought us food, hygiene products, clothes, linen, shoes, toys, and other things. We really needed everything, and her gifts helped us a lot. We are also grateful to Mrs. Nanuka, who managed to make the life of my children more cheerful, bright, and beautiful. They received a lot of clothes and sweets as a gift. Today, instead of sewn clothes, my girls walk around beautifully dressed, and this is the merit of these kind ladies. I always dreamed that my girls had beautiful dresses, and it came true thanks to them. Mr. Mirza gave us doors and windows, and peace and warmth reigned in our house. All these people are very dear friends to us.
- Pikria, was there any feedback from the local authorities to our post? Did they react to it in any way?
Pikria: Local authorities only helped us with food. They showed no other reaction, attention, or sympathy. From the state we receive only an allowance (380 lari) and a pension for our mother (150 lari) - this is all the state's assistance to families in need. With such an income, we were constantly faced with a choice - to eat or receive treatment. It is very difficult to choose between these two crucial issues. How to choose? Both of them mean life, nothing else!
– Pikria, what does this help and support of kind people mean to you personally?
Pikria: For the first time in my life, I am calm and happy. Thanks to kind people, my children have their own bed. We slept on the floor, we were always cold, we caught cold. But we didn't even have money for medications. Today we lie in a warm bed. What else could a mother dream of when she sees her children sleeping happily? This help is not only just help for me, everything is a great holiday, kindness and rebirth. We watched TV for the first time, and it happened at home. I still cannot believe and comprehend that all these things are ours, and we can freely use them.
- I am very glad that your life has changed for the better. What things did your children like the most?
Pikria: They liked everything, everything made them happy. All children love sweets, and my children also love it very much, but they never had a lot of it before. Sweets made my girls very happy. They liked beautiful clothes too. They felt like ordinary children and are happy about it.
Sleeping in a bed is a luxury for them. They cannot believe that they already have their own beds and can feel free whenever they want. And the most unimaginable and joyful thing is that they got a large, beautiful, color TV as a gift. They were immensely happy with this gift. Thanks to the Lord, thanks to kind people, that I saw tears of joy in my children’s eyes.
– Pikria, maybe you have some other problem left, that friends of our Fund can help you to solve?
Pikria: Every family needs home appliances, utensils to cook food and eat. We need pots and pans and other things to live like a normal family. We also need chairs and a table, which we do not have, and it is very difficult for us to eat - we eat here and there. Unfortunately, we are also running out of groceries, and I am so afraid that we will return from a good period of life to hell where my children and mother were hungry. Hope for good people has revived in me, and I know that they will manage to help us again.

Friends, good people! I want to address you and ask you once again to do your best and give these two beautiful fairy girls the beautiful fairy life. It is really hard to keep your eyes and your smile kind when you are hungry, you are cold, and you have nothing. This family deserves all the best. It depends on us, on our humanity and help. We have done many good deeds together and we will manage to help this family, which needs our help so much.
