We told you about the adorable boy Vaniko quite recently. A vicious illness enveloped him from all sides, and the poor boy can neither speak nor walk, and can’t do nothing on his own. The only kindred spirit he has is a selfless grandmother who has been fighting this cursed disease with her grandson for 12 years now. After all, each attack of suffocation can be the last for Vaniko.

Marina: the letter I wrote to the foundation turned out to be my "saving ticket". You came, talked to us, and from that moment the magic began. I could not even imagine that someone would respond. I'm not used to this kind of attention. I am a quiet person, I keep my problems to myself, I had my own world, and my grandson and I lived in it ... or rather survived. He has no one but me, and I live only for him. He is my whole world and what happens outside these walls I do not know. And I don't know anything about the Internet. I was told that the whole of Georgia saw the video about my unfortunate grandson. They even heard about him abroad - that's what they told us. Many people called in, which were interested in the health of the boy. They said that he was very handsome, and they would do everything possible to keep him alive. They came from different cities, donated the necessary things, and from your fund I systematically received food and medicine. It's like some kind of magic. And when your fund’s big car stopped at my gate and the flow of expensive things began - I was completely stunned! Look how comfortable my boy's bed is! And the mattress is something special!

Marina: Definitely all the attention! I feel that my Vaniko is also happy. Do you know how he sings along to the TV? But most of all, in these cold days, my new gas heater warms me! My boy needs warmth so that his fragile joints do not hurt. And the blender is a "big helper" to me. How I want him to realize at least for a second how he was loved by complete strangers! How I want to tell him that now not only his grandmother is taking care of him, but the entirety Georgia as well!

“Now im not worried that  he will choke on a chunk of food”

Marina: They weren't just people. For me they are angels. Do you think they are only described in books? No, I saw their wings as clearly as I see you now! These were the wings of kindness! It is impossible not to see them. One pregnant girl from another city came to us, brought a lot of necessary things for Vaniko. Mrs. Natia brought diapers and medicines, Mr. Gia from the neighboring village often visits Vaniko. When my grandson hears his voice, he just breaks into a smile. There was also one military man in uniform who brought food to us on behalf of the entire unit. Many strangers came, some did not even tell us their names. Each of them is a person of God!

Marina: They gave me all this warmth and kindness, and now I want to give it in return. Write down my every word, tell entire Georgia many thanks. Write that I love all the people who do not leave complete strangers in trouble! Previously, we were alone in the fight against death, but now I have hope because of you all, all good people!

“we no longer fear cold weather”

Marina: Yes, there was a woman from a social agency, she wrote down the name of medications that we needed, she promised to help. You know, in order to get some kind of help from government, you need to fill out so many papers, so much hassle, but I don’t have time for this, I don’t have anyone to leave Vaniko with, even for a short time.I run to the store for maximum five minutes and only if he is fast asleep. You know, I also want to say a huge thank you to the children from the neighboring school, they said that they want be friends with Vaniko. Sometimes they come and hug him. My poor boy never went to school and it's so nice to have friends.

Unfortunately, we are not omnipotent and could not solve all the problems of the family at once. Today, Vaniko and her grandmother's most urgent problem is bathing. Every day Grandma has to heat water on the stove and wash the boy in a basin, and this is a very difficult procedure. It is impossible to cope with this alone - and it’s almost impossible to call for help all the time... Friends do you think, we can help them with this? It goes without saying that, Vaniko needs diapers and food all the time, and there is not enough social assistance for everything.
