What shall you do so that till the end of your life people would recognize a human in you and so that you yourself fell being a real human? How could you prevent a situation when at the end of your life you stay in a helpless condition? How could you avoid humiliation and pleading heartless doctors to visit you as if it was a charity?

Almost a year ago Victor Ivanov lost the ability to attend to himself. He used to live alone, in a tiny cabin in the centre of Tbilisi. His pension sufficed only for food and for some sweets which he gave to neighbor’s children. He used to be loved and respected; people addressed him for an advice or help. Victor always helped everyone. But some people availed of the kindness of the old man: they tricked  him into signing some papers, and  in a  month it turned out that he  would not receive neither pension nor  social allowance till 2020.

Victor was very concerned, and not as much with the fact that he had been left without any means for existence, but with that he was deceived so cruelly! His only consolation was the kind neighbors and staff of Chernovetskyi Fund. If it were not for them, nobody would even recall of the poor old man, as in state authorities no one cares of an old paralyzed person!

Living conditions in the cabin of grandpa Victor are horrible! No air! No heating! No water! No gas! No fridge, TV set, gas stove, wash basin or toilet! There is nothing! There is even no floor, all the furniture is broken and covered with mold!

Victor is in bed all days long, he is dully looking into the distance, and it is hard for him even to say a word: either it is very painful or teats choke him. Admit it, it is so difficult to live a decent life, to help everybody all your life, and suddenly when you grow old you turn out to be a victim of your own kindness...
