An old lady who listens to the radio all day long and speaks to herself in order not to forget words... An old lady for who a piece of bread with butter is a big luxury, and speaking topeople is an unachievable dream.

Your heart gets heavy when you see a person with enormous life experience, with huge bundle of knowledge, with an interesting life story who lives his or her last years in total lonelines, coldness and hunger. Ada never had her own family, and neither relatives, nor close people have left. 

Ada was brought up in a family of teachers and dreamt of becoming a scientist. When she was 22 the young beauty already worked as a lecturer at political administration of Transcaucasian military region. She was the only woman giving classes to the military. 

"When I went to give the first lecture" - recalls granny Ada - "I dreamt that the car would turn upside down so that I would not have to give the class - I was so nervous and afraid. But then it was all plain sailing. Everybody respected me and was friendly".

In some 10 years she had to change her job. She was invited to work as a leading expert at a secret factory where young scientists worked on development of spacecrafts which should fly to the Mars! When you look at this feeble old lady it is hard to believe, but it is so indeed. 

Despite her tremendous career, Ada's personal life was tragic and she still cannot forget about her sorrow! 

 "I was still young when I fell in love with one young military man. Oh, how much I loved him and how happy I was! We understood each other without words! He took care of me, he was proud of me, he literally thought the world of me. In winter he would bring me a bunch of field flowers or summer fruits... I still do not know how he managed that. He was my whole world! It was a true love which was not destined to turn into a big happy family", - recalls Ada Turieva. 

Two weeks before their wedding her beloved was sent to the German Democratic Republic on a mission. There he was blown up by a landmine. Ada cried and grieved for a long time. She never let anyone approach her anymore and never fell in love again. As a true Christian she could not forget her love, she could not give it up and till now she has preserved these true feelings in her heart. She knows and believes that they will surely meet in the other world. 

Ada has been ill for very long time. She lost her eyesight, she has heart diseases and troubles with walking... All this shorten her life, no matter how sad could it sound. 

Everything has already worn out. The furniture has been broken, the kitchenware has got rusty and worn. She needs almost everything... Her only consolation is her radio: she talks to it as to a living person! 

One should be a very hard person to remain untouched by the fate of this wonderful old lady. Look into her eyes, look into her wrinkled face and think: how could we facilitate and extend her life? Surely, we can do that!
