Hungry childhood

Dear friends, these are our children! They are the children of Georgia and they ask us, the adult ones: HELP US, WE HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING BAD! WE EVEN WEREN'T NAUGHTY! WHAT FOR ARE WE PUNISHED BY THE UNCLES BUREAUCRATS? 

Georgiy is 14, Ani is 11, Gogi is 7, Saba is 4, and Andrew recently got 2 months old. They are often hungry; at times they do not go to school as in cold and rainy weather they have nothing to put on. They are deprived of simple joys of childhood – books and toys. And indeed, one is not in a playful mood having to pass cold evenings close to the only electric stove hoping to get warm. If their parents have no money to pay for electricity bills they will have to freeze. 

"We believe in Father Frost" – the kids told us – "We behave well, we don't insult our parents, we do well at school, we help everyone who needs it, but he never comes to us… We have never received presents, and even if someone would give us a sweet we would share it in 3 pieces. Georgiy is adult and he always says he does not want, and Andrew is too little yet…»

Zurab Tivadze, the father of the children, is in full despair. He used to have a furniture repair workshop, a car, some earnings, but he lost everything in the last years. This is how Zurab describes it: "I was left by my wife. At that time I lived in her house, so I had to move to grandmother along with the three children, into the refugee settlement… Then I found a soul mate, a young woman abandoned by her husband and married her. I took her son to us as well… Natalia became a loving mother for my children, and I accepted her boy as my native son… And a couple of months ago little Andrew was born.

Nobody helps us. I understand, everybody minds his own business, and things are hard in all families. God is my ultimate hope. I pray Him to take care of my children and to give them a loaf of bread". 

Dear friends, let us show the father of the children that his faith is not in vain! God exists and he urges us not to leave these kids in their misery.

And let us show them that Father Frost and Snow Maiden do exist, and not just for children from rich families! He is kind to all Georgian kids! As your children think the same… They would never believe that Father Frost brings presents only to them…! Lord, help Georgia not to have such problems when our children become adults!
