“Do not worry mom, we will dance at my wedding” - these were the last words of my beloved son when I accompanied him to the operating room!
Our Fund’s accounts:
( 183 Donors )
This is Shako, he is 22 years old. The young handsome man is slowly dying. He is doomed by doctors to be unconscious for the rest of his life. And he could have a girl, get married and have children. And no one will bear responsibility for it! They will say it was a medical error... It happens... But "it happens" only in Georgia! Well, it also happens in Africa...
"Don't worry mom, we'll dance at my wedding" – these were the last words of my beloved son, when I saw him off to the operating room!"
Shako dreamed a lot and talked before leaving for Turkey... "I am already an adult, I also want to help my family, you and my father have already done a lot for me, so I will earn money at least for my studies."
He got a job in Turkey at a tea plantation. The mother did not want to let him go, she felt that he was leaving forever!!!
But who would have imagined that going on vacation to Turkey to work, he would be on the verge of death. Although nothing fatal occurred. While working, Shako accidentally cut his leg. The wound was deep, but not fatal.
"As one cut could lead to this" – The mother still cannot believe what has happened!
– Iamze, tell me how it happened.
Iamze Tsilosani: Shako called and said he cut his leg, I insisted on his coming. I worked as a nurse at the hospital and thought that I will take care of the son here, help them to recover and send him back. But his health is growing worse every day. They bandaged him and said that he was young and everything was going to heal and he would be sent home soon! And his leg hurt more and more. In 10 days the pain became unbearable, and my son decided to have an operation... That's where it all started... or rather ended... after he was brought to the operation, he told me "don't worry mom, we'll dance at my wedding" – these were the last words that my son told me...
During the "simplest operation" (that's how the doctors evaluated this operation), there was a heavy bleeding, and Shako's heart stopped. I don't know what happened in the operating room after that... but my son didn't wake up after that.
– How is he now?
Iamaze Tsilosani: He just lays there, stares, unresponsive... But you know, sometimes I think he hears me... maybe it just seems to me, but somehow it is necessary not to go crazy after 3 years of caring after a half-dead son... I have to hold on somehow... This is all my hope! Yes! Shako hears me!
Friends, guess what? Seeing how Shako reacts to his mother's voice and touch, we understand that he really hears his mother; we even think that perhaps he still has a dream. He wants his mom to be there for him. He wants to hug her, to apologize, to thank her for everything she has done. This is what we saw in his eyes!
And Iamze continues to believe and continues to be near her son. The only thing is that she has no forces left. The mother is near, but she cannot stay awake all the time, she falls asleep... And it may cost Shako his life.
"All my life I worked as a nurse at the hospital, and now I became a nurse for my son!" – with tears in her eyes says Iamze. – "All the money earned by honest work has gone to treatment. A meagre pension is not enough for anything... I turned into a beggar... I look into the hands of good people. It should be noted that the Deputy and local authorities also help me. But this is not enough... I'm very ashamed, but I ask you for help! I have seen more than once with my own eyes how you helped the terminally ill, how your help was vital for them!
I think no extra words are needed here! You understand... And if you do not understand, then you are unable to feel, and if you do not feel, then probably you read all this in vain...
And if you are not an indifferent person and want to ease the suffering of this family and give them hope jointly with our Fund: not only Shako, but also his selfless mother, we will write below what they need. And you, healthy and strong people, just need to read it all help as much as you can.

I died for the first time at the age of 9, and...
"How is this possible?" - you will probably ask. Mzia Dzamukashvili knows the answer to this question very well. She first died at the age of 9 when she went blind. Her world was gone. Her childhood ended and her life ended too. Mzia buried and mourned her dreams. And then she was resurrected for another life - in eternal darkness. She learned to live by touch - to walk, read, recognize other people. She learned not to dream about great joys. Her fate was like an evil stepmother, it was not going to give her love, the joy of motherhood, happiness.
I’ll go up the wall with pain!
Nona Turashvili, 53, plains. Her voice is constantly trembling. She does her best to hold back her tears, but at some point, the poor woman can't stand it. She puts her head on her hands and bursts into tears... There is so much grief and pain! She keeps crying...
Georgian lepers living in hell!
Friends, when you see what a life these unfortunates have, you will certainly get horrified! They are lepers. Not for us - people who know that there is God, but for officials who are obliged to help them! Will we leave them in trouble and turn our backs on them as well? Just look at the photo.
Face to face with death. Literally!
Cancer! Is there any word that sounds scarier? It all started with a tiny pimple, which looked harmless. And after just a couple of months, 46-year-old Khvicha was diagnosed with the fourth stage of soft tissue sarcoma.
Mommy, don't cry, I'm with you!
“Sleep, my dear, I am with you, I am near! Do not be afraid! Breathe calmly, I will help ... I would breathe instead of you if I could, I would suffer instead of you, and not together with you if I could! Mommy, you are meaning of my life. Do not leave me!" 33-year-old Bacho repeats these words as a prayer and looks into the eyes of his mother during her attacks of suffocation.
When I've gone blind, it seemed like they...
“I wake up, sit down ... While sitting I say to myself: “Well, are you still alive? Can we handle it today? Do you want to eat? Let's go shopping". It has lasted 11 years! After my TV went out of order, I have been lost completely. I don't know when the day comes, when the night comes, what date it is. I go out and wait until someone greets me to ask them what day it is, what time it is, what is happening in the world ... Then I pick myself up, take my stick and go to the nearest store to buy some bread. Though I'm blind, I still need food. The store seems to be close, but it takes me three hours to get there. Sometimes a cow butts me, or I run into something, fall down, lose my orientation, turn off the road...
All kinds of illness, poverty, suffering fell...
"I am not afraid of death, I am afraid for my daughter, for my husband, they are sick and cannot cope without me!" - Lela bursts into tears. A year ago, she was diagnosed with the last stage of cancer. It would seem, that nothing could be worse. But this is only a small piece of the grief that befell this kind Georgian family...
