And 6 people are Georgians, including a seriously ill child, an old grandfather with three children, mom and dad. If there is a fire or flood, hardly anyone will survive. Batumi is 140 km away. No work, one hope for God!
Come visit them, friends! They are good Christians!
Meet, this is Lizzie! (under these words photo)
She would be born the most beautiful Georgian. But my mother suffered a severe flu during childbirth. And which doctors are off the beaten track ...? Here is a terrible sentence to a loving mother, Leili and a child! Cerebral palsy ...
The birth of the third girl in the Grigalashvili family was waiting impatiently! Mom dad and older sister! “And she will be our doll, and we will play with her and learn poetry with her” - jumped with joy Tamara and Tinniko, so eager to see and hug his living doll! But, unfortunately, the great joy of expectation gave way to great pain and sadness ... the baby was born with a severe form of cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
- Leila, during pregnancy did you know that Lisa will be born with a serious illness?
Leila: during pregnancy, I got the flu. Nothing special, a couple of days I’ve taken temperature ... but in my heart I felt all the time that this could affect the baby’s health.
- If you knew for sure that everything would be so, would you decide to give birth?
Leila: (crossed herself) Are you, whatever the child is, this is God's grace! How can you refuse it? I don’t know how women decide on this ... to kill a child is not Christian! This is not human!
- Tell us about Lizzie, is it difficult with her?
Leila: not so much difficult, how hard morally! It's just awful to watch your child suffer and not be able to help him. God forbid more than one mother to experience this ... Lizi is already 9 years old, she does not see, does not hear, she cannot even complain when she has something to hurt, she just screams, and we don’t know what to do, what help ... "
“And how can her condition be improved?”
Leila: Oh, now I will tell you elementary arithmetic! A big mind and knowledge of higher mathematics are not needed here! (Leila took a sheet of paper and a pencil and started writing) here, there are 6 of us in the family. I, my husband, who from morning till night seeks work to earn a penny ... our grandfather Akaki, an old disabled person - 82 years old, and our daughters Tamara - 14 years old, Tiniko - 11 years old and Lizi - 9 years old.
Here we look further ... we receive a grant of 320 GEL. We are also entitled to a grandfather's pension of 200 lari and a disability pension of Lizonka - 200 lari.
2 years ago, when Lizi was very ill, we took a 3-year loan from pensions for treatment. Therefore, from pensions we get 50 GEL each ... here is 320 + 50 + 50 = 420 GEL. Here is all our income. And a maximum of 100 GEL per month, which will earn the husband. 520 GEL for 6 people a month!
Lizi needs 400 GEL per month for medicines she takes every day, and also diapers. And we still have 100 lari for food! If someone teaches me how to feed a family for 100 GEL, I will be happy!
- Leila, in my opinion this is impossible!
Leila: Oh, that you, and our officials think that this is very possible! I’m not an evil person, but I wish them to visit my skin for at least a week ... how many times my elders refused to eat so that Lizi wouldn’t be left without medicines ... how much they have to endure and worry! Sometimes I’m not worried about Lisa, she doesn’t feel anything, the main thing for her is to be dry and fed on time! What can I say to Tiniko and Tamara? They have been suffering with their sister for 9 years! They are devoid of everything. They have no childhood ... (crying)
“Leila, what do you think, can we somehow brighten up their life?” It’s clear that for Lizzie you need medicine and nutrition and diapers, or maybe the girls will ask for anything for themselves?
Leila: they are so modest, they are unlikely to be able to ask for anything ... try ...
“Girls, please tell us that you would be most pleased with what you dream of.”
Tamara: I don’t know, Lisa is our biggest dream. We were waiting for her so much, and she, poor thing, didn’t spend a day without torment, how can we desire something when she cries like that?
Tiniko: let me tell you, Tamara really needs a computer to study. She is now engaged with some neighbors at others, and she is the best student in the school. Do you know how smart she is? I also want to be like her! And sometimes she sometimes cannot go to school when she sits at home with her sister ...
“Thank you Tiniko, we will take into account your concern for your sister, and what do you need?”
Tiniko: probably nothing ... I don’t know ... Lisa would say instead of me if she could speak ... poor thing.
- Leila, whoever helps you? How do you manage to hold on?
Leila: We are believers, only faith in God saves us. We are parishioners of the local church of St. Nicholas ... this holy guardian of our family. Our father, Teodoshi's father, takes care of us. That will give us bread, then flour ... and so we live ...
- I cannot but note that housing conditions are simply disastrous!
Leila: yes, this is the wooden house of our ancestors. The tragedy in Baghdati just happened, the children and their mother burned alive ... then all of them remembered ... do we really need victims to hear you ali? Is it really necessary to die to be taken care of? If so, I am ready to die for my children! I am ready for anything! Help us!
So, friends, people are starving, and our officials cannot believe it. For some, 100 GEL is trifles, but someone must survive for this amount for a month! We have to "scream" once again the system kills us! All!

God gives us the opportunity to take care of people who are not able to do it themselves. Not all people are the same. And not everyone is kind, as we are with you. Do not pass by someone else's misfortune! Unhappy people are given to us from above, so that we can prove our faith to the Almighty not in words but in deeds!

Friends, this story is unlikely to arouse a feeling of compassion in a normal person, and even wounds many. This sad story is another reminder that there are people who suffer more than us, weaker than us, and any of our support, any form of help will have life-giving power for them.
