They live in desperate poverty, any second at the risk of being buried under the ruins of their own home... It was a distressing picture to see even for the worldly-wise Fund employees. We just shuddered when we saw this little doll with huge beautiful eyes in desperate poverty, a dilapidated house, with a collapsed wall... And Nini, kept frolicking without noticing it: “Look what a puppy I have! Isn't it wonderful?"

Your support inspired us!

“Granny, granny! They came to visit us again! " Nini, a wonderful little beauty with huge eyes, runs out to meet us, followed by her grandmother Nino. "Your Fund has exceeded all our expectations and made our dreams come true!" - she starts to thank us from the very doorway.

Friends, not long ago, in our post named: “A beautiful three-year-old orphan has only a grandmother suffering from cancer, and, instead of toys, a poor little white puppy picked up in the street” we told you the sad story of a wonderful little girl Nini.

https://chernovetskyifund.ge/en/projects/648-nazarashvili/

You, our kind and responsive readers, of course, could not remain indifferent and pass by the misfortune of this little girl living in the ruins with her grandmother, who is seriously ill!

“Many people who called us not only helped us but also cheered us up with their words. With these vibes you want to be active, to live, to defeat your illness. This inspires you! I don’t know how to thank you!” – Mrs. Nino can’t hide her emotions; Joy and gratitude overwhelm her. – “May God grant you with health and prosperity, may He save you from all hardships!”

It was your generosity and responsiveness that brought back the joy and taste for life to these people! Little Nina has three times more toys than she asked for, and her grandmother never tires of blessing you for your help and support!

Little Nini can't fit all of her toys in her arms, but she still wants to show us everything at once. She can't get on her scooter with a doll and a bag in her arms. But the baby tries again and again.

- Nini, what cool toys you have! Will you let me play?

- Ma’am, look up there! There is a lot of toys!

- On the top of a wardrobe? Well, I see! You've got a supply of toys!

- Ma’am, take it! Let's play.

Grandma Nino Sr. smiles: “I’ve put it there. They brought her so many toys, that my granddaughter got lost, which toy to play with. So I told her: "Come on, dear, let’s play with these dolls today, and leave the other ones for tomorrow. You’ve changed our life dramatically, you brought us so much joy! God, Himself directed me when I wrote to your Fund."

The story of a 3-year-old girl Nini with a white homeless puppy in her arms, and her grandmother, a cancer patient who raises her, shocked our readers to the core. Such an angel lives in a dilapidated house together with her grandmother, whose health condition keeps getting worse every day. Everybody who was able to do so joined the rescue campaign immediately.

 - Mrs. Nino, what did you feel when people started calling and visiting you? Tell me about your new friends.

Nino: How can I express this with words? I'm very excited. I used to address other organizations for help, but I only saw indifference and even condemnation there. "We would have helped you if the child did not have a mother at all or she did not remember her." - that’s what I heard once… I got so upset then, I don't even want to remember that.

But you supported us truly and sincerely. I will never forget that.

Many people have responded. I will not list all the names by heart, so as not to be mistaken. But I am immensely grateful to everyone! I will pray for all good people. May God give you health and prosperity, may he save you from all hardships.

They brought clothes for the child, food, toys, they gave us money. Sometimes they sent us gifts, sometimes they came personally.

We met one family. They came to visit us all together – a husband, a wife, and their children. The woman's name is Alla, she speaks Russian and English fluently. They helped my daughter Ani, Nini's mother, to get a job. My daughter lost her job due to the pandemic. With the recommendation of these kind people, Ani started working at a dog shelter. I was really touched when our new friends arranged Ani's birthday celebration (on December 9th); with real birthday a cake. When all these come from the heart, it makes you feel so warm!

“Toy Shop Disney” handed us over three huge bags of toys. “Arni” insurance company employees brought us a lot of sweets and food.

Another family brought a scooter for little Nini. I guess their child is about two years older than Nini. It was so much fun that evening, when my granddaughter rode the scooter back and forth around the room shouting: "Granny, look, I'm coming to you!" She had a lot of fun and after that she caught z’s. She still keeps moving around our home by her scooter. It's not convenient to ride it in our yard - there are bumps everywhere. And I don't let her go outside, and I don't go outside either - I'm very much afraid of the Coronavirus.

They provided us with food for about two months. Complete strangers came with bags full of food. We have nothing to worry about this winter - we have potatoes, onions, flour, rice, buckwheat, pasta, noodles, oats.

There are also enough sweets. Nini eats them first of all. So, I give her sweets little by little and keep the storage place secret. (Smiles.) Although, it is difficult to hide something from her, she wants to know everything and to participate in everything. "Me, me, me!" She especially likes to unpack gift boxes. She opens the box immediately and, starts examining what’s inside.

- Do you like your new bed?

Nino: Oh, yes! My fidget was so impressed that she immediately started to jump on it. She felt happy jumping on the springing mattress. "Grandma, come on and jump with me too!" “How can I do that, dear?” - I answered her - “We’ve finally got a normal bed, and we must take care of it.” She obeyed and stopped jumping. This bed has a magical effect. I used to put Nini to sleep at a daytime, but not always successfully. And now when she plays enough and gets tired, she goes and lies down herself. Now she regularly has daytime naps. I am so happy!

At 9-10 o'clock in the evening we go to bed. I get tired quickly, my illness reminds us of itself, no matter how much I want to forget about it. The baby clings to me, I tell her some tales, give her something to drink, and she falls asleep.

She helped me to unpack new blankets, pillows, and then she luxuriated on them. It is so important to please a child's heart this way! You are doing a great job. I bless your Fund and its founder. You know, sometimes I can hardly believe that it happened to us, that so many wishes and dreams came true at once.

Thanks to the Fund, we have finally got a refrigerator! You have no idea how I suffered without it, especially in summer - any meal was getting spoiled in a couple of hours because of the heat. Now I have place to store food.

The washing machine you gave me became my best helper. The only thing left for me to do is to hang the laundry. I have no strength at all to wash and wring out the laundry by hand. My back pain prevents me from moving normally, from doing the housework. I am unable to do anything without taking painkiller in the morning or in the afternoon. I am waiting for the approval for my second surgery - gynecological. I have applied for it, but I am still waiting for financing. Apparently, all the scheduled operations have been postponed due to the pandemic.

When a handyman installed the washing machine, and started the first test wash, Nini sat down in front of it watching as if it was a TV. (Laughs.) She is curious about everything: how the laundry spins in the window, how the machine hums. I always tell her: “Look, dear, don't bring your fingers close to the window, it's dangerous.“

She likes to open the refrigerator – she’s fond of the light inside it. (Smiles.)

- Mrs. Nino, we are happy that now you have less problems in your everyday life, that your life has become easier. Was there any feedback from the local authorities? Did they react to our post in any manner?

Nino:(She sighs heavily.) They said they were planning to distribute food to the poor and socially disadvantaged families. They brought me some firewood this year, however, I haven't used it yet. But my main problem, which I addressed them with, is the emergency state of my house, and this problem remains unresolved. They say nothing about repairing or strengthening the house. I also asked them to build me one-room-extension. Well, I don’t know what they will do. If there would be other housing, we would have moved there long ago.

Probably, they are unable to resolve our problems right now. The deputy of our district is aware about our problems and he treats us well. He promised me to help us as soon as he will have this chance.

This is an old house built of stones, it’s over a hundred years old. I don’t know for how long it will stand without major repairs. Probably, it will hold out this year, but nobody knows what will happen to it next year. It is very difficult to keep such a house warm - it’s blowing from all cracks.

- I see that you have decorated the Christmas tree to create a festive mood for your granddaughter and yourself. It is wonderful. It means that there is hope for the better future.

Nino: I was encouraged by the support of so many people. With these vibes you want to become active, to live, you want to defeat your illness. Many of those who called me not only provided me help, but they also cheered me up with their words. You feel a surge of energy. I want to tell you a funny thing, even though this is not directly related to the case. One Kakhetian gentleman called me and ... asked me to marry him. Just that straight forward. I didn’t take it seriously, of course. But this story amused me. I used to think that I was an old and sick woman.

Nini comes to us with two dolls in her hands.

- Baby, you haven’t told me yet your dolls’ names!

Nini (3-year-old):Baya and Maya.

- Probably, you are busy now, and you have no time to play with your puppy?

Nini: Ma’am, Bubu is my friend. And here is his mom - bow wow.

Nino: Yes, his mother, a street dog, started coming to our yard. My granddaughter says: "We can give her food now, grandma, we have food."

Lady Nino laughs and waves her hand.

- Did Nini ask you to write a letter to Santa?

Nino: You are our Santas! Aren’t you? Your Fund has exceeded all our expectations and made our dreams come true. The things that seemed almost impossible to come true came true. Nini has three times more toys than she asked for. Thanks to everyone who is next to us!
