Get out, don't make my mom cry!
Get out, don't make my mom cry!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO THE WORK OF MERCY!
“Get out, don't make my mom cry! “Or I hit you!” - Luiza threatens me. She's protecting her mom! Because she is her mother's favorite daughter.
Karina: No, dear, they are friends, they will not offend us. I promise you - I won't cry. They came to help us.
Luiza: I hear everything! And I see. I will beat!
- I promise we won't offend anyone.
Karina: She is so worried when I start talking about problems, she looks into my eyes, and God forbid she sees tears...
The room is cold, very cold. You feel terrible dampness coming from these concrete walls. One can easily notice the room has not been heated for a long time. Twin brothers Samvel and Dato are sitting on the bed, wrapped in warm blankets. They warm each other. I come in the house from the cold street, and it seems that it is colder in their room than outside.
Karina: I can't make them get out of there. They can't even go to school. There are no warm clothes or shoes. So, we stay all day long this way, we even have nothing to eat.
Dato (13-year-old): Do you know how much it hurts to watch all these Christmas trees and fun? We did not even have a tiny Christmas tree. Let alone gifts. But I still made a wish - I want to go to dancing classes! But there is no money for the uniform. It is very expensive. It probably costs 50 GEL.
Samvel (13-year-old): And I also made a wish - to go to sports. I want to be a kickboxer! For the New Year, we didn’t have yummies, we didn’t even have a single candy.
- And what did you have for the new year?
Karina: As always: cold, tears, and bread. We did not even have a TV to watch others have fun.
“Shotiko drew his dream house, and we all looked at it and made wishes.
Maybe they will come true”
- And what wishes did you make, Shotiko? Can you tell me too? Or is it a secret?
Shotiko (14-year-old): My wishes are very simple - I can share them with you. I wished that I would never run out of drawing paper. To have paints and brushes. Colored pencils... You know, recently I had no paper left, I drew everything on both sides and cried like a little child... I wanted to draw, but there was nothing to draw on. I was so embarrassed - a grown man was crying like a child. But tears flowed by themselves.
“I get dissolved with my drawings, drawing the world where I would like to live”
- Shotiko, when is your birthday? You didn't get New Year's gifts. Maybe you have a cherished birthday wish?
Shotiko: My birthday is coming soon - on March 8th. I would be happy if someone remembers that and congratulates me. Well, if they bring something for drawing, I’ll be absolutely happy. I also heard that there are special tablets for artists with stylus. And you can draw there, so that you don’t need paper. But I don't even dream about it.
- Karina, what do you dream about? Probably about the washing machine, as the most of our beneficiaries?
Karina: Well, our mothers and grandmothers coped without any washing machines, and so can I! I have one dream for the children to be fed. And for Luiza to have diapers. This is my ultimate dream. I know that no one will give me an apartment, so I dream of real things.
“Can you imagine what does mother feel when her children ask for food, and you have nothing left?
- What about this building? Do you rent it?
Karina: No, we occupied these rooms arbitrarily. They're terrible, but we can't pay the rent. Our income is social allowance and Louiza's pension. I buy flour, butter, diapers for Luiza and pay utility bills. If my husband earns something, we can afford to buy vegetables, fruits, sometimes meat.
“Mold literally eats our lungs! Look what my children breathe ... "
“Have you seen the floor? It's all cracked. Concrete could collapse at any moment."
- What do you eat?
Karina: Here's my big pot: I make a watery soup just to give color and some taste to the water.
“I put potatoes, rice or pasta, some vegetables, tomatoes to boil... If there is butter, I get a royal dinner, if not, a dietary one. It should be enough for two days. That's how we live"
Luiza: Luiza loves apples! God will give apples to Luiza! Mom took me to hospital... needle. I don’t want! I want apples!
- Look, Luiza, I kept my word, and your mother is not crying. I promise that you, your brothers and your mother will have many friends. And they will give you apples and many necessary things.
Luiza: Look what I have! Mom gave me! God bless all good people!
“This is a magic coin. If you collect many of them it will be warm at home!”
«I have two magic coins!»
