“Yes, it feels like we all together were born again! And the sun shines brighter. As if I am already enjoying life, and hope has appeared, and faith has returned. Do you know that you made us very happy? We have never received so many gifts,” Iza blurted out these words in one breath. We really saw a ray of faith and hope in her eyes. “Thank you, kind people, for supporting us in the fight against poverty and trying to make a happy day come for all those in need.”

 "I can go anywhere in my beautiful dress!"

Our faithful readers, you know well the large Khikhadze family, that lives in a dire need. They live in a small hut with no amenities. They have nothing. The beautiful Niako, the mischievous angel Nikoloz and the gallant Roma are Georgian children who dream of sweets, toys, and a soft bed. Check out the post that our Fund published on April 8: 

Iza (40-year-old): When I saw the washing machine (it was still in the box), I already knew what it was. I screamed with joy!

"Take a look inside. It is so new and sparkling!”

Then there was a gas stove. I dreamed so much of a gas stove! I would never be able to buy these things! Never! What good people you are - you know exactly when and how to help. I have three young children. I am a mother, and I need all this like air.

Iza: Sure, they were happy too. They are special children. When their mother has a hard time, they take it very close to their hearts. Do you remember - Roma dreamed of a washing machine to ease his mother's life.

Niako is just a baby. Do you know how much she helps me with household chores? She sweeps, washes dishes. It does everything by herself. Sometimes she interferes with me, but I do not stop her - I say we will do it together. So we can do more and do better.

 “Mom, we’re going to bake cookies here, right?”

Niako (4-year-old): I also liked the dolls. They are very beautiful and cry!

Niako: They cry. They can cry. Do you want to listen? Wait, I'll give her a pacifier.

Nikoloz (5-year-old): Wait, don't make her cry, I feel sorry for her. You gave her the same crybaby doll as she is. (Giggles.) I didn't like this doll at all. I liked sweets and cookies. I ate them all at once.

“Well, open it soon, I really want to try it! I'll eat you now”

"Om-nom-nom. What a delicious cake you are!”

Nikoloz: How could I do without them? We were so poor when our mom could not buy anything for us. I didn't cry, I'm a strong boy, I have muscles, but Nia cried. I told you - she was a crybaby.

Nikoloz: Of course. To be honest, I do not have yet these things for training... How are they called? I forgot the name.

Nikoloz: Yes, and other stuff. I don’t remember how they are called. I don’t have them, but I still workout. When I grow up, I will beat everyone. You have brought us a lot of food, and this will help me gain strength. And my mother will cook something delicious for me with her golden hands. (We all laugh.)

Roma: I was happy about everything. Thank you so much. My mother used to wash all the time, and now the machine will spin for her. (We laugh again.)

- You are very funny kids!

Iza: They are happy.

Iza: Yes, they did. I will never forget three wonderful guys - two young men and a girl with a baby. They came from Kutaisi. They came so unexpectedly...

Nika: Like Santas, who came in the summer.

Nika: The most important thing is the bike!

Iza: Lots of gifts! Food (potatoes, butter, flour, meat, sweets, juices), hygiene products, toys.

Niako: What about my dresses? Do you know what beautiful dresses they brought me? So many! (She shows me her little beautiful fingers.) I had no beautiful dresses to put on for the holidays, and I cried.

Niako: Now I have cough. If I knew that I would get sick, I would ask you to bring me sweet medications. Medications are bad, but when they are sweet, it is okay. I so want to go to kindergarten because I have new dresses.

Iza: I want to thank those young people. I am happy that there is such youth in our little Georgia. I wish happiness and success to their families!

Iza: I was enrolled in the employment program. I now work as a kitchen maid in a kindergarten. I get a salary - 300 GEL. Of course, this is very little amount, but it is better than nothing. Well, it is still a lot of money for my family. We live in dire need.

Iza: I have no one to support me on a regular basis.

Iza: When a person has nothing ... Well, now I have a washing machine and a gas stove. I don't know what to say - I'm embarrassed. I have already disturbed many families who shared with us what little they had. We will always be happy with everything.

Roma: I love football. Mom cannot take me to the football club because there is no money. I would love to watch games on TV. I dream of such a TV that shows well.

Roma: I am a fan of Giorbelidze.

Nia: I want a fluffy bunny to hug and caress it a lot. (Hugs her mother around the neck.)

Friends, today these wonderful children are very happy, but they still need a lot of things. The family does not have proper furniture. Children sleep in very bad beds. They have no table, no chairs. They have to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in turn. Their total income is not even enough for food. The still need our help and support.
