Imagine, once, when I was little, I ate ice cream!I still remember how cold and delicious it was...

“But then the worst thing in my life happened! I dropped the ice cream from my hands... I waited for it all summer, and then mommy managed to save money to buy it.”

Gvantsa (10-year-old): That's how it was... I was so happy when my mother said that the day had come when my dream would come true! I put on a nice dress, and we went to buy ice cream. A real one, for me! It cost 80 tetri.

“They say that some kids can eat ice cream every day. But not me…"

 - Have you eaten ice cream before?

Gvantsa: Maybe yes, but it was a very long time ago. I remembered that it was cold and delicious. And here it is in my hands - white and pink, making my mouth water! I could not resist returning home, and right in the street, I opened a pack of ice cream and began to eat it. I offered it to my mother, but she refused. She says she doesn't like ice cream, although I know she does. I licked it once, then a second time... It was the tastiest thing I've ever had in my entire life! And suddenly a disaster happened - it fell out of my hands. I cried so bitterly...

“Have you ever dropped an ice cream? Do you know how much it hurts?"

- Maybe you had some happy moments in your life as well?

Gvantsa: When I hug my mother, when I am with her, I am happy. I have no one besides her, we are completely alone in the whole world. Mom doesn't like to talk about it, she cries very often, but I can calm her down.

- Nino, why are you alone? How did it happen?

Nino: It so happened that I married a wrong person. I realized immediately that, unfortunately, I made a big mistake. But I had no way back. My family did not want to accept me, they said, since I made my choice, I must endure for the rest of my life. I endured resentment and humiliation but did not dare to leave. But when Gvantsa grew up, I realized that she should not witness her mother enduring everything and being treated like a dog. I realized that if I don't change something, then my daughter, when she grows up, will behave the same way. And I didn’t give birth to her for torment. This is not why God gave her to me!

All furniture is made of bricks and rotten boards. The walls and floor in this house are concrete, it feels like a cave

These bricks serve as a table for storing kitchenware.

Gvantsa tries to make this concrete room a little bit cozy.

She draws the sun and flowers!

- Living condition here are just terrible! This is the first time I see people sitting on plastic cans instead of chairs...

Nino: You are right. When we moved here, we didn’t even have water here. I waited for it to get dark, and then washed my laundry outside. There is a tap in the neighbor yard. I was so embarrassed. Then our neighbors gave us water, and thanks to them I can now at least wash the dishes at home.

- I’d like to ask you about your income.

Nino: Our only income is an allowance of 220 GEL, that's it. I can’t work, there’s no one to leave my daughter with. I won't leave her alone at home. She is still little and very emotional. Despite the fact that she tries to forget everything, she has such a huge pain in her soul...

Gvantsa: I don’t remember anything. And stop crying! Forget everything! I'll draw flowers for you again. Well, come here!!! You are like a little child! Busya, don't cry! Otherwise, I'll start crying too.

“We have to calm each other down. Crying is not good. Then our eyes burn and our heads ache"

- What did you call your mom?

Gvantsa: Busya! Sometimes I call her Busya, sometimes she calls me that. I ask God that she does not cry, that I never remember how my mother was offended and beaten... I almost don’t remember that. I ask God that my mother would forget about everything and stop cring. She says that life has disfigured her. But is it really so? She's the most beautiful! So, I paint how beautiful she is!

"My mom is like a princess, and I know that we will live like princesses."

"I love you, Mom!"

- You are very talented! If you had magic brushes, what would you paint?

Gvantsa: I would paint people without masks! I dream for this virus to end. So that no one dies from it.

- You are such a kind girl! I expected you to “dream up” something for yourself...

Gvantsa: Everyone should feel good. But I have one dream for myself. Not ice cream, we’ll save enough money for it by summer. But what we won't be able to save for is a phone or a tablet. And I also would buy a phone for my mom

- Nino, as far as I see it will be hard to single out the main problem you have. You have nothing! I really have never seen building blocks used instead of furniture.

Building blocks, old boards and cellophane serve as the table, chairs, and wardrobe...

Nino: What can I do? We got used to it already. The only thing I'm worried about right now is not to die of hunger and cold. Thanks to our neighbors for giving us their old beds. We are happy that we don’t sleep on the floor anymore.

“The only thing that gives you warmth is an old electric stove. We cook on it and use it for heating"

- What can we do for you to somehow make your life easier?

Nino: First of all, I’d like to ask for foodstuffs and that my daughter has the Internet. I cannot pay 15 lari a month for it, but we really need it. Gvantsa also needs a tablet. We need warm blankets and pillows. It would be just fabulous if we could renovate at least one room. Lay parquet or at least insulate the floor. You can’t even imagine how cold the concrete floor is!

- I think you also need chairs, a wardrobe, a washing machine... You have nothing at all!

Nino: I don’t dare to ask, but we really need everything.

Cans instead of chairs and bricks instead of shelves!

Here's another story about the lonely and abandoned ones. About those who were abandoned by their relatives, but who believe that strangers will not stay indifferent to them, that strangers will manage to stand by their side and help. Because for God and His children there are no strangers and there is not someone else’s pain. We - people working at the Chernovetskyi Fund - know that the life of the families we tell you about magically change after you read their stories and repost them for your friends. And these are not just empty words - this is actually happening.  We are sure that in a few months we will report to you about our success in helping this family. They will greet you with smiles on their faces in their warm home, in warm beds and without tears. Now let's unite, let’s open our hearts to God and do what our soul tells us!

Nino and Gvantsa need any help.  They will be grateful for anything.  But first of all, they need foodstuffs, furniture (chairs, wardrobe, beds), a washing machine, warm blankets, a tablet. And if we manage to renovate at least one room for them so that they do not freeze in primitive conditions, it will be just great!  Maybe people who can help this family to renovate their house will read this story?  Maybe such a miracle will happen?  It happened many times before!

You can visit them and provide them all possible help at: Gori, 19 Eliozishvili Str.

Every time you can help someone, just do it and rejoice that God answers someone's prayers through you!

Let us show our mercy and make Nino and Gvantsa believe that miracles happen, that they can live as others!  They believe in us. Do not let them down.  Show them what generous people live in Georgia!

We are sure that all together we will manage to give them unforgettable moments.

Please don’t forget to repost our story. Let your friends know about the grief of this family! It’s extremely important!
