Tamarа (mother): ‘One wrong move turned my son into a disabled child. Doctors in Batumi cannot help and say we urgently need to go to Tbilisi!   Lord, protect all mothers from such a fate! 

- How did it all happen?! 

Tamara: I was in the last month of pregnancy and all my thoughts were with the child, who was about to come into this world. Following the doctor's advice, I was walking around the yard when suddenly a rooster attacked me.  Startled, I reflexively tried to move away quickly, protecting the belly of the one I already loved more than life itself! And... I fell onto my abdomen!

I didn't pay much attention to the fall, and the doctors didn't see any problems. I continued to glow with happiness!  The childbirth and my condition immediately after didn't cause any particular worries. The horror began afterwards... But such horror!!! Now, my husband and I have devoted our entire lives to Beka! We even sent our second child to live with my mother in another village! We believe with all our hearts that through the efforts of the doctors and the mercy of the Lord, Beka will stand his feet! But I miss my second son so much! My heart is breaking into pieces...

- How did you realize that something was wrong with your son?

Tamara: We realized something was amiss when Beka failed to initiate typical, heartwarming movements of a child. The examination revealed he had suffered a brain hemorrhage due to my fall. Consequently, he couldn't sit or execute simple movements. It's been a year now since my husband and I have been taking him to doctors... But we live in a village and we don't have any money! Beka urgently needs expensive medical tests, and we don't even have the money to take him to Tbilisi! 

We are poor people, from the village, we don't know anyone in the capital, and we don't even have anywhere to stay. What awaits my little one if kind people don't help us?! Oh God, oh God!!!

The poor child can't walk, sit, or talk, he can only crawl.

- Tamara, don't blame yourself, you're only killing yourself with this!  What would you like to say to other parents facing a similar situation? 

Tamara: I strive to be strong! I want to pay tribute to all mothers! Sometimes things happen that we cannot control, but it's important to remain strong and fight for our child. We shouldn't feel alone in this.

"When Beka smiles at me, I understand that he holds no grudge against me, that he has forgiven me... Maybe I'm just comforting myself right now, but... You know, I also dream that Beka would share his divine smile with all the kind compatriots who extend a helping hand to him!  It is more precious than all the riches of the world!

He's so sweet and so unfortunate!

Friends, we believe that this sweet hand of Beka is reaching out to our kind hearts, open to God. I, correspondent Nino, didn't capture this photo intentionally. Suddenly, as I was leaving, the camera seemed to snap this touching picture on its own!  At first, I thought the little one was bidding me farewell. Then, as I began to write this post, a tear involuntarily fell from my eye. I realized that with this sweet hand, he seems to be reaching out to all those who can extend their hand back to Beka! Lord, how touching it is... Let's give Beka a chance to smile! And please, make a repost! It's also a tremendous help!

- How do you envision the future and what are your hopes? 

Tamara: We hope for a better future for Beka. We want him to be able to at least sit and say more words. We have a long and difficult path of rehabilitation ahead of us, and we are ready to go through it together with our son. We have confidence in medicine's potential and are hopeful for his condition to improve.

- You have reached out to the Fund for help. How all of us can support you? 

Tamara: Our family is facing financial difficulties due to unexpected circumstances. We need funds for medications, rehabilitation, and other urgent needs for Beka. It is crucial to take our son to Tbilisi for a thorough examination. Doctors in Batumi cannot determine what is wrong with him. Medical examinations in the capital are a matter of life and death. We have no one else to turn to. We appeal to kind hearts for assistance in overcoming this difficult period and providing Beka with a better future.

Here is yet another family struck by sorrow, another little angel who cannot gain access to a healthy life because that pass costs a lot of money, and the family simply doesn't have it... 

So why are we must help the little ones, especially those in difficult circumstances? Firstly, children are our future. Secondly, children are our hope for creating a fairer society. Thirdly, helping the little ones is an expression of our humanity. It's exactly what the Lord expects from us! 

In conclusion, helping the little ones is not only an act of kindness but also an investment in our collective future. Today's support can change a child's life and influence society as a whole.
