For years she has not seen day light, has not had a breath of fresh air; for several years she is lying and looking at the walls with mold on them... She became a prisoner of her own illness, a prisoner in her own home. Nobody is insured against such destiny. Every person reading these lines can get into such a deadlock when he or she even cannot turn over or tuck in a blanket. The only thought of it is kind of creepy...

Recently a XII-grade pupil of Chiatura Middle School, Levan Mumladze, addressed us a request to help his bedridden and seriously ill granny whom he was bedsitting. 

75-year old Guliko Gotsadze has been bedridden for already several years. Spinal curvature, neurosis and advanced rheumatism do not allow the poor woman to leave her bed even for a couple of minutes. Continuous unbearable pain in her back and legs and frequent spasms make her life unbearable.

Guliko Gotsadze has not been outdoors since she fell ill. - "Is it possible that I will die without seeing the day light, the sun and the sky, I am dreaming of it every God's day..."

For days on end she is lying in a dilapidated bed looking at the ceiling and waiting for her beloved grandson to return from school, as he would give her water, medicines and tea with bread. Unfortunately, very often they get along only with such a scanty meal, as the tiny social allowance and pension is hardly enough for buying food and the seriously ill old lady also needs medicines.

- "She needs about 50 diapers per month. She also needs many medicines. All the earnings of my mom who is working hard from early morning to late night is completely spent for these needs. We buy food on credit. Thankfully the owner of the nearest shop gives us such a possibility", - says Levan.

The family of Guliko Gotsadze will be extremely grateful to you if you provide her help in form of medicines, diapers, food products, and most of all she needs a wheelchair which they cannot afford because of the complicated economic situation.
