Life did not show mercy to 9-year old Anano Shavidze. When she was born she was diagnosed with infantile cerebral paralysis and epilepsy. When she was two she had a very complicated operation on tendons. She endured and in a couple of years could already move around the room with the help of her parents. She cannot move by herself; she looses balance and falls down. 

Today Anano's condition totally depends on medicines which soothe her epileptic seizures. The child actually lives thanks to medicines, otherwise she will die. 

The family of Anano Shavidze is very poor. They sold their own home in Rustavi and moved to a rented apartment in Tbilisi in order to find money for her treatment. All their reserves are empty and the girl's future is in question. 

Anano's mother - Natia Shavidze, has diabetes, so 43-year old Imeda is taking care of the child and the wife; but still, he also has a number of illnesses. 

"My heart is tearing apart when I look at my daughter. She is so feeble and helpless. I pray God to give me strength to support her. I do all I can for her, but the material need is "eating us alive". The child's pension and the social allowance is all our income which suffices only for medicines and a loaf of bread", - says Imeda Shavidze. 

He cannot find a job as there is nobody to look after the child and the mother.
