When Vazha brought Sofiko to her house, she was 27 and he was already 50 tons. He gave her his love, 3 beautiful children, and much, much happiness. But prosperity - could not. Broke a leg. And now - became the fourth child for Sofiko. He is now disabled!

In the house where the family lives there is a smell of terrible poverty: Rotten walls, rusty beds, torn clothes, dampness. Vazha and Sofiko live with five of them: a disabled husband and 3 wonderful children: 9-year-old Natia, 7-year-old Tamara and Gabriel - he is 5.

Sofia: My father died early and in Vazha I found my father. He is so good. Take a look! Now - he is my fourth child.

 “Have you always lived so poorly?”

Sofia: We lived like many ordinary Georgians. Not rich. But always in love, for which I am so grateful to God! Vazha worked hard and hard, but a year ago Vazha injured his leg. It was rainy weather, he shouldered a large load, stumbled, fell and was "bad" ... his leg was broken. Since then, can’t walk normally ...

 - I see that the children do not leave him. They love him so much

Sofiko: Yes, father is their favorite family member. When he worked, they practically did not see him. And now dad is at home all day, and they are happy. Small ones. They don’t understand that our existence depends on the state of health of our father!

-And nobody helps you? Parents or relatives?

Sofia: Vazha has no parents. They have been with the Lord for a long time. And I have a very old mother. And she herself needs help! So sorry that I rarely see her. There is no money for the road.

 - Whose is this old house?

Sofia: He is the late parents of my husband! When Vazha brought me to this house, we dreamed of repairing it, saving money, buying beds and a wardrobe ... but alas, it didn’t work out. And now one dream has remained - not to leave children hungry! You see all this rubbish in the corner of the room, I don’t know how to put it beautifully ... I’ll put it carefully, on the second day everything is all over the house again. Or it’s going to rain and wet everything, and there’s nowhere to hang it ... well, what should I do? Maybe you will advise? Maybe someone has an old closet at home? Even if I don’t have doors, I’ll put these things and such a mess will not be around ... I don’t know ...

 - Have you turned to someone for help? To local authorities for an example?

Sophia: yes, she did. I was given a washing machine a year ago, and now they have brought a refrigerator. I can’t say that they do not pay attention to us, but I also know that there are a lot of poor families in the region.

“What do you believe in?” What do you see salvation?

Sofia: I and my husband are Orthodox Christians, and I bring up children according to all the rules of Christ. They are not evil, they love people, they can give their last piece of bread to the hungry. Here, the kitten was recently dragged from somewhere. They say that we even have mom and dad, and the poor thing has nobody!

 - Well, you are very kind, let’s talk to you, children? How are you?

Natia: I'm fine, but how are you?

Tamara: I want to eat. My stomach hurts.

- and when did you eat for the last time?

Tamara: in the morning, but still want to. Tasty, probably, the tummy asks!

 - tell me who you love the most and why?

Natia: I love mom and Gabriela, and Tamara sometimes offends me.

Tamara: I love everyone. but most of all dad!

 - What are your favorite toys? Why?

Natia: I have no toys. I gave my Tamara. I'm playing with a cat.

Tamara: when did you give me your toys? We have no toys! I like to play hide and seek. I’m hiding and then “I am”!

- And how do you sleep at night? Do not hug toys?

Natia: Tamara and Gabriel and I sleep on the same bed, there is no room for dolls.

Tamara: yes, it’s close to us. And sometimes Gabriel kicks me.

- What fairy tales do you know? Who told you that?

Natia: Mom used to talk about the princess with long hair.

Tamara: I don’t like fairy tales. I love to listen to songs

- So you dream of becoming a singer? I guess?

Tamara: but they didn’t guess, I will become a doctor and cure my dad.

Natia: I don’t know. Probably a teacher. Everyone loves them so much. I want to be loved too

- since you don’t have toys, what toys do you dream about?

Natia: I would like a tablet. There you can draw and read books.

Tamara: and I'm Barbie with a house that has a lot of clothes!

- What delicious do you like to eat?

Natia: I remember once, my mother baked khachapuri! This one was yummy!

Tamara: Do you remember, Natia, Aunt Mzia brought us a waffle cake from Tbilisi, remember? We divided it into many parts and ate for a month!

- Who are you by nationality and what are you proud of as Georgians?

Natia: I'm proud that Georgian! We have our own alphabet, like no one else in the world.

Tamara: Georgians have the most beautiful songs!

“You’re just smart, and now I’ll talk to mom again.” Sofia, what are you dreaming of?

Sofia: I dream that children do not starve. To make it easier for her husband, to survive with dignity all these problems and live ... humanly!

- Why did you decide to contact us?

Sofia: You helped one family in our village. She taught me how to contact you. So I asked a friend to write to you.

- What do you most need?

Sofia: we really need beds, pillows and mattresses ... ours rotted. It’s time to throw them away. Children dream of normal clothes. And we really need products.
