“If only Giorgi survived. If only he survived! " - the mother of little Giorgi prays every day, and she believes in a miracle! She believes that the Lord will not leave her alone, that He will send those people who will help to save the life of the little Georgian boy. There are fewer of us every day! Are we going to lose one more life?!

At our insistence, the child is monitored by the best doctors in Turkey. They don't do such operations in Georgia! There is almost one hundred percent confidence that the child will recover. But where to get that money?

“When he first started hitting himself in the face and biting his lips, I stood and cried... I was very scared. He twitched, and I could not move. I stood and sobbed loudly. Tears poured down and burned my cheeks. And when his mouth started bleeding... I thought I would die of fear,” - 13-year-old Levan tries to hold on and remember his emotions when this terrible attack first happened to his brother Giorgi. He still does not know the name of the disease that has been tormenting his brother for five years now. But he knows he couldn't bear with it. “Giorgi is very strong! I would have died of this a long time ago,” - the boy's voice trembles and his eyes get wet.

Nobody knows what this disease is called, it is something rare, genetic. But what it is, and what caused it - nobody knows. Whatever it is called, we will call it horror.

Giorgi is nine years old, and he has been clinging to his life for five years now., Terrible things are happening to him for five years. His arms, legs and head move without stopping. Sometimes they twitch with such force that the boy can injure himself, hit himself until he bleeds, cut an eyebrow, bite his lip, bite his tongue... Imagine how it hurts him, and imagine how it hurts his mother to see that and be unable to help.

Friends, we must do everything to save Giorgi's life! Maybe we will manage to? God is omnipotent!

It turned out to be difficult to talk about this topic with the boy’s mother. She remembered everything to the smallest detail and experienced all the suffering again. But she knows that it is impossible to convey this cry for help to your heart without this, and without your help, she cannot cope! The bill went for minutes, and the boy's life depends only on the money, but, alas, the family has no money left!

- Iza, please, tell me in detail about Giorgi’s health condition. When did he start having the health problems?

Iza: Gio was born a healthy guy - he weighed four kilos. Oh, what a handsome and lively boy he was! “Future athlete,” his dad said. And Levan was happy and used to ask: "Will he start playing football with me soon?" But our happiness did not last long. In 2015, on January 16, he had a fever, and he began to tremble, twitch, make some movements with his arms and legs. We could not understand what was wrong with him. It didn't look like an epileptic seizure. I know that such attacks last maximum for a few minutes, but it did not stop. We called an ambulance, and they took him to the hospital. This horror lasted for two weeks. They gave him strong sedatives and sleeping pills so that he could rest in his sleep. He passed out for several hours, and as soon as he woke up, this horror used to start from the beginning. The doctors just shrugged their shoulders... “It does not look like anything else,” - they said. Then the attack finally subsided, and Gio "turned" into an ordinary boy. We thought that everything was over. We did examinations, analyzes showed that everything was fine.

- But the mother's heart felt that something was wrong, right?

Iza: An inner voice told me that it was not so easy for us to get off. I listened to every breath of my son like a crazy and watched him waking up. “Dear, do you feel good, do you feel okay?” - I asked him every minute. After one month I almost relaxed, but then he got a fever and trembling again, his hands and feet started moving chaotically again... the blood came from his mouth again - and again ambulance, hospital, intensive care. Two weeks of hell, and again nothing was clear.

- I can imagine how you felt then. And what did the doctors say?

Iza: Doctors advised us to take medical examination in Turkey. We sold everything! In 2017, we collected necessary funds and took him there. But there, too, they did not say anything plainly. They offered us to take a genetic analysis - it cost $ 6,000. It was impossible. We didn't have a dime left.

- How is Giorgi's condition today?

Iza: Not good at all... I do not know how much his little heart can withstand such loads. His condition became severe on January 8, 2020. He got sick, the temperature rose, and that's it! He passed out. They took him to a clinic, where Gio spent six months being put on a breathing machine. They gave him the strongest drugs to somehow pacify his attack. But he could not calm down even in his sleep. All his muscles twitched. His heart was pounding... I do not know how he endured that. His kidneys failed, his brain suffered hemorrhages, his jaws clenched, and all his joints closed. His condition was critical. On February 13, the doctor told me that there was no chance for Giorgi to survive, but he manages to live, that he is holding on to the invisible thread of life and does not let it away. One percent - I heard this figure every day for six months... One percent - it's still some kind of hope, I used to reassure myself. And you know, one percent is more than nothing. Sometimes this is enough to survive. And Gio survived.

- What happened then?

Iza: A miracle happened! In May they disconnected him from the breathing machine - he started to breathe on his own, they transferred him to the ward, and on June 10 he was discharged from the hospital.
 We gradually started to rehabilitate him at home, Gio became sociable, he showed with his hands what he needed, how he felt. I read books to him, sang songs... I did everything to make him laugh, he has such a beautiful ringing laugh. I either turn into a bunny or a fox...

Levan supports me a lot. He used to be so afraid, he could not look at his brother, he even closed his eyes when he had to pass by. And now he feeds him, hugs him, helps him to bathe.

Sometimes I can't hold back my tears and I get hysterical. Levan comes up to me, hugs me and says: “Mom, don't cry, you know that everything will be fine! I promised you that I would play football with him.” I know, I have to be strong, I have to fight, but when the further life of your child depends only on money, I am losing heart. But if I'm not strong now, it will kill him.

- Iza, what do you need now to improve Giorgi's condition?

Iza: A month ago we went to Turkey. They examined him again tested and prescribed him treatment. But it's so expensive! This is an unbearable amount for us. But you know, without treatment Gio's heart may not manage to withstand such stress. His lungs or kidneys may fail. It's hard to look at him. Can you imagine what he feels, going through that from day to day?

- How much does the treatment course cost approximately, and do the doctors give any guarantees?

Iza: It is very expensive! My husband says that he needs to work for 10-15 years to collect this amount. And we cannot wait that long. Every day is a test of strength for us. How much longer will Gio's body withstand? How long will our nerves last? The life of our son hangs in the balance, and it depends on the amount that we do not have. I never thought that I could not cope on my own, but I have to ask for help. We are now in such a situation, that we are unable to buy even the basic things - diapers and medications.
