Teona (mom):During childbirth, they dislocated and broke my unfortunate boy's leg. They hid this from me. They discharged me, but they left Nikoloz in the maternity hospital, saying he was born weak and needed to be nursed. I was worried sick. I felt that something was wrong, that they were hiding something from me. Ten days later, they took him home from the maternity hospital, and he cried non-stop, especially when I changed his diapers. And when I took him to the doctor, he said it was a fracture and dislocation.
"Thanks to rehabilitation, Nikoloz's leg stopped hurting.But look at this nightmare! One leg is 7 centimeters shorter than the other!"
- Let’s begin from the beginning.What were your feelings and expectations before childbirth?
Teona: After childbirth, they didn't show me my son. Can you imagine? It felt like I heard his cry! It was like a sharp knife stabbing my heart. It was like I could feel that my little one was in pain, and he was crying for me to help him!
"Look, how beautiful he is! How wonderful! Will suffer his whole life because of the mistake of negligent doctors?"
If the doctors had told me the truth, my Nikoloz would be healthy now and playing with his little brother.Instead, ... I am here with him in the rehabilitation center, away from my family. It's very hard! Especially since my husband and another baby are waiting for me at home! How can they manage without me?! We have no more funds for treatment... I'm suffering so much!
- What would you like to say to other parents who may find themselves in a similar situation?
Teona: Be persistent. Protect your children and demand answers. Never stay in the dark when it comes to your child's health. Don't be shy and don't believe everything you are told. A mother's heart is the only authority that always tells the truth.
Calm down, baby, your situation is not hopeless!You are in Georgia, and together we will do everything possible to make only tears of joy shine in your eyes! God is always with you!
