Tbilisi Social Services have been starving the children for 4 long months, as and they all promise to come and "check"... What are they going to check? Are the children still alive or not?

My God, – wails the poor woman, – who makes up such laws?! I went to find out, and they said that I should be checked and such verification will take 4 months! Only at the end of January, the payment will be restored! I wish I had learned about your Fund before! Why had I not?! I've heard so much about the friends of the Fund! Silly me... My children almost starved to death! I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy to go through this... No food, no heating and no money to pay for this junk! There is no furniture, no warm blankets... The five children sleep in the same bed, and I'm sitting on the floor by their side... God help us to live another month!

– Nino, tell our subscribers how did you end up in such a horrible situation? What could have happened to end up in such misery and poverty?

Nino: I was the happiest woman on Earth. I had a loving and hard-working husband, beautiful and beloved children. Trouble broke into our life in a blink of an eye: my husband was arrested, and my children and I were thrown out of the comfortable apartment that he had been renting for the family for many years.

My husband is a very good and kind man, but he is so trusting. Someone cheated him and he got involved in some money affair. He did not think what would happen to our children! But I will always love him and wait... and children love and miss him. I believe that the judges will find out what had happened... Maybe they will think of the children... And I won't tell you anything bad about him. I know he can't hurt anyone. And he loves the children so much and they do love him!!! You should have seen it! It was he who gave them such beautiful names (she smiled through her tears).

– How are you going to live now?

Nino: I'll go to work myself in a year. The eldest daughter, Anna, will grow up. You can't even imagine what a beautiful and hard-working girl she is!

Anna will be my support and my hope until her father is released! She said that she would babysit the younger ones and take care of them better than I did! She's adorable. You even cannot imagine what kind of person she is. She is my joy! She looks after the babies even better than I do. She is my daughter, my sister, my friend, and my mother... she is my universe!

I was going out to work, so that the children would not die of starvation, but Anna skipped school... I realized that this is not fair to her! She loves studying so much, she's so smart. I couldn't sacrifice her to our circumstances.

– Nino, I'm going to ask you a very awkward question, but you can leave it unanswered if you wish. Why don't your relatives and friends help you?

Nino: My parents live very poorly in the village, so if I were a good daughter, I would have to help them myself. My husband's parents don't help us... God is their judge. I don't want to speak ill of them. But I want to note that sometimes, there are people who are complete strangers, who become closer than any relatives. The fact that we are now alive and do not suffer from serious diseases, this is the merit of strangers! I thank God for them!

– Perhaps, only faith in God keeps us you this earth.

Nino: Yes, our faith and help of other people. Look, Ephemia burned her hand, and I couldn't buy a burn cream. She was crying in pain, and I put her hand in cold water to distract her. And suddenly some girl came to me with her husband, I don't know how she found out about me, but that was not the main thing... So they came, brought ointment, products and toys for children! They said that God sent them to me! I thanked them, and they told me to thank God!

– I would like to ask some questions to the children. Do not hesitate to tell us what you dream about.

Anna (12 years old): I want my mother's strength to stay with her. I want her to be in the mood to smile! I love studying, and I dream of becoming a Physics teacher – this is my favorite subject. There are so many new and interesting things happening in the world and I don't even have a computer to follow the news in the field of physics... I'm sure that when I grow up, I will do a lot of good for the whole world. Well, for my mother first of all!

Barbare (10 years old): And you know, I know that all dreams come true for the New Year! I know that my most cherished dream will also come true. I need to have my teeth "repaired" (the girl whispered and looked at us with her beautiful blue eyes). And I really, really, really would like to have a kit for making beads and bracelets. I'm very good at it. And then I can sell them and buy bread for the children.

– You're a smart girl. And what do you dream about, little one?

Anna (12 years old): Lazare and Nicola are very shy boys, can I speak for them? Lazare needs warm clothes and Nikola adores "Spiderman", so he will be very happy with a toy or clothes with this hero. A little Ephemia needs to eat well... Well, not only she needs that... all of us. And our mother, too.

Nino: The only thing I fear is that the children will be taken away from me by social workers... If anything, they immediately threaten that they will take the children away! I don't want to leave my children! Children are all I have! I don't know what to do... Maybe someone will help me, someone will tell me what to do... someone will guide me on the way…
