REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS FIND THE WAY TO GOD!

Students from the Georgian-German school “Skhivi” (which means “ray”) made an incredibly touching visit to the “Lazaret” nursing home, bringing a true ray of light to the lonely elderly residents.

For a month, the students and teachers prepared for this special meeting.  They brought not only fruits and sweets but also their sincere desire to bring joy to those who had long missed the warmth of human interaction. When the students entered the yard, the elderly people’s eyes lit up with joy. They had also been preparing for this visit for over a month and eagerly awaited their new young friends. These elderly individuals, who had not seen their relatives for a long time and rarely heard kind words, welcomed the students with genuine smiles and tears in their eyes.

On an improvised stage in the nursing home yard, the children performed acts they had prepared for the elderly.

The students sang songs, many of which reminded the elderly of their youth. The children danced, involving everyone present in this celebration of life.  The grandmothers sang along, and some even danced a little, forgetting for a moment about their ailments and age. In their every look and every smile, one could feel their gratitude for not being forgotten.

“The grandmothers reminisced about their youth. “

This visit brought joy not only to the elderly but also served as an important lesson for the students.  They saw how much simple human attention means and how important kind words and deeds are. This experience showed them that subjects like math, physics, literature, and languages are important, but the most crucial lesson they can learn is one of kindness, empathy, and compassion.

“The world is sustained by good deeds”—these words are more relevant today than ever. Bringing joy, smiles, and hope is within our power. We thank the director of the Georgian-German school “Skhivi,” Mrs. Ekaterine Chikobava, the entire school staff, and especially Murat Uluirmak and Anna Tevdorashvili for their active participation in this wonderful initiative, for the fact that they educate children not only with intelligence and knowledge, but also with sensitive hearts.

Mother Elene, the mentor at the nursing home, was delighted to meet such wonderful children and their teachers.

We thank all the students of the Georgian-German school “Skhivi” for their efforts and enthusiasm in making the elderly happy.

We urge other schools to follow this beautiful example. Think of those who need our attention, those who live in loneliness and silence. Organize a visit to a nursing home, bring a little warmth and kindness. Let’s do this together, because each of us can make the world a better place.

Every emotion given to these neglected elderly people is a blessing from the Lord for your right and kind actions, friends.

As the Bible says: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). Let these words be our motto. Let’s teach our children to be kind, sensitive, and compassionate.  A small act of kindness can brighten someone’s life and make the world a bit brighter, and it’s in this world that our children will live.

We call on other schools: Join us! Let’s do good together and give happiness to those who need it so much!

If you are willing to visit the shelter and help them in person, here is their address: Tbilisi, Sanzona, 46 Nagomari Str.
