The couple got a new gas stove. What a miracle! Grandma Oliko doea not need matches anymore. No more struggling with damp matches! And when she saw a washing machine, she hugged the Fund’s staff and even cried with joy. Grandpa Givi used to sleep outside, resting his head on a tree stump – he was so tired of his broken iron bed. Oh, how gladly Grandma Oliko came to bring him back inside when the new beds were assembled: “Lie down, Givi. Get some real rest. Now you can finally sleep like a human being.”

And here is the incredible news you deserve for your amazing support: After the Chernovetskyi Fund urgently covered the cost of tests, treatment, and medications – totaling up to 23,000 GEL – and after thousands of people prayed for Demetre and his parents, his condition started to improve. Demetre is now back in Georgia! For over two weeks, he has been breathing on his own! He no longer depends on a ventilator. He still has a tracheostomy, which will stay in place for about six months. Demetre is no longer sleeping all the time – he’s opening his eyes for longer periods and even making eye contact with his mother. For Nato, his mother, the greatest joy is seeing her son’s beautiful eyes open again – her hope is finally taking root.

But today, Gio is making the whole house laugh – his sisters, Gabriel, everyone. As the children admire their new mirror-finished table, Gio points out with a grin:
“Two Gios, two Gabis, two Lizis, two Lalis!” At the Fund, we truly believe that the Lord sees your kindness instantly – and your life will surely change for the better. Just look at how happy these children are! And yet, we must share something that may sadden you – though we know most of you will understand. In families like this, living in conditions comparable to those in the poorest regions of Africa, problems never completely go away… Because in our country, corruption and poverty continue to grow.
This family, to whom you’ve already given so much happiness – with so many children and so much joy – now especially needs a proper gas stove and a real bathroom for the kids. The father of the family is seriously ill and unable to do even the basics for his family.… They are now our family, and our responsibility. Thank God for that, dear friends! Because helping a stranger is a gift from God – a gift to our conscience. And now, their joys are ours too. When the children grow up, we’ll celebrate their victories in life together.

took out the broken wooden couch and chairs, and laid her down like a queen on a brand-new soft bed – she came back to life! All her aches and pains vanished on this beautiful day! With every gift comes a song, a toast, or a poem from Grandma Mary – her heartfelt thank-you for the new furniture, the TV and fridge,
the electric kettle, juicer, groceries, and medicine! Let Grandma Mary’s incredible joy brighten your day too! What a joy, what a blessing – Artyom has stood on his own for the first time in his life! Pavel, his father: My son, my Artyom – he means everything to me. He is the reason I live. Artyom was born with cerebral palsy, which meant he couldn’t walk.  Watching him struggle – crawling on the floor, unable to sit up on his own, with his hands refusing to obey – broke my heart. Thanks to the Chernovetskyi Fund, which took such great care of us and supported Artyom’s rehabilitation, he has made incredible progress! Artyom can now sit on his own without falling!

Mari (10-year-old): When our house burned down, my sister Ani and I cried so much…Ani: “Everything in this room was a gift from the Fund’s friends!” Ani (10 years-old): Welcome to the room that Mari and I share! Everything you see here is brand new. And the scent of new furniture is amazing! We’ll sleep so well on this soft bed. Our textbooks and school supplies will go in the dresser. The ottomans are so comfortable to sit on. And the big wardrobe is for our clothes. Oh, we have so many new clothes! Let us change and show you. Even the little ones got everything they needed. Luka and Niko are knocking at the door – they want to show off, too. They’re already dressed in their new outfits. “We’re in great spirits! Sending you love and hearts!”

Alina is just a little girl battling brain cancer. She has eight rounds of chemotherapy ahead of her. There is nothing worse than cancer striking a poor family. Natalia, a true Georgian, faces all procedures with remarkable resilience! She’s so beloved by all the doctors at the Turkish oncology clinic that they pray for her recovery! The beauty of Georgian children is irresistible! Back off, you cursed cancer, leave the little one alone! She’s still far too young to endure such suffering!
Natalia is only 1 year and 8 months old. But the entire staff at the renowned Turkish oncology clinic has already fallen in love with her. Poor thing, they found a tumor in her body that had clenched onto her spinal vertebrae like a relentless predator. Kiss your healthy children more often, friends! And remember, you’re the luckiest people in the world! Thank God, your child is healthy and doesn’t plead with you with beautiful eyes and tears to save them from terrible pain!

Manuk, the father: “Look at how happy my daughters are, and how my wife is glowing! Your project brings happiness to families!”. The Manukyan family’s home is a former store. Right after being discharged from the maternity hospital, Luka’s mother, Keti, returned to this freezing space with her newborn. The baby had no diapers, no crib, no hot water—and cried his heart out from fear and distress. Luka’s sisters, Mari and Barbare, had no warm clothes or shoes. Barbare had only the cold tiled floor instead of a mattress, and the bare walls instead of a TV.  We had a long shopping list for this family—furnishing their home from scratch! Appliances, furniture, food, and clothing. Luka’s first joy was peacefully falling asleep in his new crib. Meanwhile, Mari and Barbare celebrated, welcoming each gift with excitement.
