“For 27 years my daughter has never once called me ‘mom.’ I will die and take this dream with me to my grave. I am the most unhappy mother in the world.”
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD!
This is what a mother looks like after 27 years of watching over the breath of her sick daughter.
47-year-old Tina and 54-year-old Otari, holding dolls in their hands…
Dear readers, some of you may laugh at this photograph, some may think, “They are crazy,” and others may simply ignore this “comic” image. But behind this seemingly “comic” frame lies a tragedy that began 27 years ago.
“The hellish room” — that is what this small space is called, where Tina and Otari have spent half of their lives with their sick daughter. On the walls there is toxic mold, which directly foretells death. “Who knows, maybe death will be the only relief for our family,” the poor mother whispered.
Khatia suffered a severe traumatic brain injury at birth. The girl is almost mute. In addition, she cannot take a single step. She cannot eat or wash herself independently. Khatia’s mother told us that because of her condition, her peers mocked her, spat at her, and some even threw stones at her. My God, how cruel this is!!!
When the poor mother was telling me, a journalist from the Fund, about her 27 years of hellish suffering, she could no longer bear it and burst into tears… Tina repeated only one phrase: “Mother of God, give me strength, I beg you.”
Khatia’s father is 54 years old, but the injustice of life has turned him into a 90-year-old man. Otari fought in the Abkhazian war and was not afraid even of a “hail of bullets.” A bullet fired by the enemy did not kill Otari, but the grief over his sick daughter wounded his heart more deeply than any bullet. Yes… that’s exactly how it is…Men are strong. But fathers are weak. That is the inexplicable power of a father’s love…
These dolls, bought back in the 1990s, are proof that the poor mother still hopes her daughter will one day reclaim the childhood that was stolen from her. For 27 years these toys have faithfully waited for their only “owner.”
Khatia, on the contrary, is afraid to look at the doll. Perhaps it reminds her of childhood trauma. This desperate father gently caresses the doll of his 27-year-old daughter and hopes deep in his soul: “Maybe a miracle will happen, and at least this doll will call me ‘dad.’” Oh God, even the thought of this makes one’s blood run cold.
If you knock on the door of the Jeiranashvili family, the poor mother will open it for you – with a doll in her hands. And you know why? Because this doll is the only thing that allows the poor woman to feel like a real “mother.” My God, how much drama there is even in this single frame.
Some mothers abandon their newborn children at landfills, but Tina is ready to live at a landfill for the rest of her life if only she could hear the word “mom” just once.
This poor woman is a second-degree disabled person. One year ago, she started having serious problems with her uterus. As a result, she developed a hormonal disorder that led to excessive weight gain. For a disabled person, excess weight became a double hell. Before the woman could walk with a cane, now it takes her 40 minutes to get from her home to the pharmacy – even though the pharmacy is only a few meters away.
Look – this is death!
The wall power socket is almost exposed. God forbid that 27-year-old Khatia touches it… You can imagine what a tragedy that would be. The poor family has no money for qualified electricians. So how thin the line between life and death will be depends only on luck…
This plastic “box” is merely a mock-up of a television. For many years, a real TV has remained an unattainable dream for the poor Jeiranashvili family.
God-fearing people, do not pass by indifferently the plea of a desperate mother. There is no hope left for her child’s recovery but let us at least slightly ease the suffering lives of these unfortunate people.
How much would it cost to clean the walls of an 18-square-meter room from toxic mold? How much money is needed for disinfection, replacing the rotted door, as well as for a small television and food?
Friends of the Fund, in 13 years of the Fund’s existence, you have made even the impossible possible. Let us not make this poor family an exception. Let us extend a helping hand to the Jeiranashvili family, and a host of angels will sing for us from the other world – the world to which we will all one day “depart” for eternity…
And your great kindness will surely return to you a hundredfold at the most difficult moment of your life. For nothing in this world disappears without a trace.
If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Gori, 15 Shindisi Heroes Avenue.

THANKS TO YOUR HELP, FRIENDS, THERE IS ONE MORE HAPPY FAMILY IN GEORGIA! THE JEIRANASHVILI FAMILY NO LONGER LIVES IN A “HOUSE OF DEATH,” BUT IN A COZY ROOM!!! THANK GOD FOR GIVING US CONSCIENCE AND COMPASSION!
REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD!
YOU HELPED – THANK YOU!
For many years, the Jeiranashvili family lived in a dark, tomb-like house with walls poisoned by mold. That “house of death” held its three residents captive in misery:
their silent daughter, Khatia, who has severe brain damage; her mother, Tina, disabled since birth and barely able to walk; and her father, Otari, whom sorrow has aged like an old man.
You brought a powerful stream of light into their lives. You turned their sorrow into joy and amazement. Now there is light everywhere — from the new windows, walls, ceiling, and floor, from the new wooden beds, from the sparkling white washing machine! Today, for the first time, you will see these people – worn down by hardship – Khatia, Tina, and Otari – smiling and enjoying this light.

Dear friends of the Fund, let’s make sure their old life stays in the past. The family still lives without hot water. Living conditions in the kitchen and bathroom remain very difficult.
A LETTER OF GRATITUDE FROM TINA:
For Tina, simply standing is a struggle, and icy water, a rusted bathtub, and broken stove and refrigerator are a daily ordeal.
Khatia and Tina have nothing to wear outside. Even worse – they don’t have basic changes of clothes. They urgently need very large-size women’s clothing — size 80. They also need shoes: size 39 for Khatia and size 43 for Tina. Just before our visit, an ambulance had to be called for Tina again. Her leg swelled severely. She urgently needs a heart ultrasound and medical examinations.
Let us be compassionate, and God will strengthen us – in mind, soul, and body.
Friends, there is no such thing as someone else’s pain.
