Every day, seven-year-old Luka sits by the window and watches his brothers play outside.

They run, laugh, and kick a ball around.

And Luka can only watch.

He wants to run outside with them too.

He wants to fall into the grass, scrape his knees, and kick a football.

But he cannot.

His legs do not obey him.

When Luka was born, he suffered a severe brain injury. For almost an entire year – eleven long months – the little boy lay motionless.

When his parents finally thought the worst was behind them, another tragedy struck – epilepsy.

Today, Luka is seven years old.

And his mother still carries him in her arms.

Just as she carried him when he was a baby.

But now Luka is a heavy seven-year-old boy, and his mother grows weaker with every passing day.

Luka, 7 years old: “I really want to walk like other children. I want to play football with my brothers. But I can’t. It makes me very sad…”

After hearing these words, it is difficult to hold back tears.

Every day, Luka’s mother Tinatin helps her son take a few steps.

Every step comes with pain and enormous effort.

Every day, she prays for just one thing – to see her son walk independently one day.

Nikoloz, 9 years old (Luka’s brother): “It hurts me so much to see my brother like this. More than anything in the world, I dream of seeing Luka stand on his own feet. Please help him!”

Luka’s father is also seriously ill.

After several surgeries and gangrene, he lost parts of his fingers and can no longer work properly.

The family is raising four children and can barely manage their daily expenses.

But now they face a challenge that they cannot overcome without our help.

Doctors in Turkey are ready to perform surgery to lengthen Luka’s tendons and ligaments.

This surgery could change his entire life.

It could help the boy place his feet correctly.

It could help him take his first independent steps.
