Every evening, three children gather beside their little sister’s bed and whisper the same prayer:

“Dear God, please let Anna walk…”

Elene is 9 years old.
Tamar is 7.
Shotiko is 6.

They do not yet know what $21,000 means.

They do not understand medical diagnoses.

They know only one thing: their beloved little sister has never been able to run alongside them.

She has never played hide-and-seek.

She has never wrapped her arms around them in a hug.

Four-year-old Anna cannot walk.
She cannot sit on her own.

Every day, her mother watches over every breath she takes and is afraid to fall asleep, fearing she might miss the moment her daughter needs her most.

Shortly after Anna was born, her heart stopped.

Doctors managed to bring her back to life.

Tamaz 7-year-old: “More than anything in the world, I want Anna to come up to me on her own and give me a hug.”

The entire family is holding on to one hope.

According to Anna’s mother, doctors in Turkey are ready to perform a stem cell procedure that could give her daughter a chance at a better future. But it must be done urgently, before Anna turns five. But time is running out. 

Only a few weeks remain.

And that chance costs $21,000.

For a struggling family raising four children, such a sum is simply impossible.

Anna’s mother is a doctor.

She has knocked on every door.

She has spoken to every office and

every authority she could turn to for help.

Today, for the first time, she is asking strangers for support.

Not for herself.

For her daughter.

For the day Anna takes her very first step.
