Look how much happiness there is in the eyes of those you helped, friend!

Friends, tragedy has struck a Georgian family—the Kvinikadzes. A sudden fire engulfed their home. The desperate cries of the children— “Help us!” —seemed to reach the heavens. Maybe they truly did. Because somehow, miraculously, the children were saved from being consumed by the flames. But little Nikoloz, just two years old, still bears the scars of the fire on his legs. Local authorities promised to help rebuild the hous next to the ruins, but the family has lost all hope. And you might be wondering—why? Why have they lost faith that the state will keep its word? Because after losing everything, the family turned to local authorities for urgent aid – just 1,500 GEL to help them get by. They were promised this amount, but they are still waiting. And so, they have no reason to believe that help will come. Their only hope now is you. To be fair, the Gori local government has been covering the rent for the seven-member family, who are temporarily living in a cramped two-room apartment. But for how long? And how can these children continue  living in such conditions? Even if you donate just one lari, it will bring these little angels one step closer to having a home again – no matter how small.
Georgia must come together! If each of us contributes enough for just one brick, these children will no longer be homeless. And this kindness it will come back to you, to your children, to your grandchildren, in ways only God can know.

Lamara is 92 years old. Look at her swollen, tear-filled eyes. This unfortunate, bedridden, elderly woman cannot buy eye drops to avoid going blind, which cost only 7 GEL. Lamara: “I’m lying here hungry, in a freezing house, my dear. I’m utterly exhausted. Eating even once a day is a blessing for me. I can’t move around on my own. My son and daughter-in-law take care of me, but they both have health issues and can’t work. We survive on my pension and social assistance. My son has had two spinal surgeries – he needs help himself. We have only one hope left—you, kind people!”

This is 7-year-old Alina. Look at these photos and you will immediately understand that the little angel is fighting death with all her might. The girl does not give up, but her little heart can no longer stand it. She can no longer endure this. Who knows, maybe one day she will surrender to death forever. No!!! No!!! We must not allow this! We must not leave the little girl alone in the face of death, otherwise we will never forgive ourselves. Alina’s kind heart will forgive us, but our conscience will never, never forgive us. Kind people, pray for Alina. Prayer has the greatest power. Whoever can, lend a helping hand to the Ambartsumyan family, and this kindness will definitely come back to you. Little Alina must live! The girl’s dim eyes must shine brightly again!

Natalia, a true Georgian, faces all procedures with remarkable resilience! She’s so beloved by all the doctors at the Turkish oncology clinic that they pray for her recovery! The beauty of Georgian children is irresistible! Back off, you cursed cancer, leave the little one alone! She’s still far too young to endure such suffering!
Natalia is only 1 year and 8 months old. But the entire staff at the renowned Turkish oncology clinic has already fallen in love with her. Poor thing, they found a tumor in her body that had clenched onto her spinal vertebrae like a relentless predator. Kiss your healthy children more often, friends! And remember, you’re the luckiest people in the world! Thank God, your child is healthy and doesn’t plead with you with beautiful eyes and tears to save them from terrible pain!

Luka is just one week old. The baby cries endlessly from hunger. He doesn’t get enough milk, but his parents have nothing to feed him with—they are too poor to buy baby formula. It’s hard to understand someone else’s pain if you’ve never experienced anything like it yourself. Think about it! What if, God forbid, it were your children starving?  How would it feel to see your little son or daughter crying from hunger? The only food in their home is bread brought from a free canteen. But should this be the diet of a breastfeeding mother and her children?

‘Lord, if I can’t be healed, then take me, because I can’t bear so much suffering anymore!’ These words are sincerely spoken from the depths of 17-year-old Luka’s heart as he kneels before the icon.”
Since birth, Luka’s right leg has been 13 centimeters shorter than his left! As he grew older, the deformity in his leg caused unbearable pain, making life almost impossible! At times, he even dreams of death. ‘Doctors warned that without surgery soon, I won’t be able to leave my bed for the rest of my days.’

‘If my parents had the means for the surgery, my life would’ve taken a different turn. My childhood dream was to serve my homeland. But because of my disability, that dream will remain unfulfilled.’” “Today I feel like a useless person. My leg hurts so much that I want to die. I can only walk 2 meters on my own! What kind of soldier am I gonna be?”

This is three-year-old Saba. Take a close look at the child’s T-shirt. Even at a landfill, you’d find a T-shirt in better condition than this one. But the most alarming thing is that Saba has a high fever. Sadly, his single mother can’t buy medicine at the pharmacy because of her dire financial situation. Look at him—he’s drinking hot water without sugar or jam. And no, you’re not mistaken—there’s only hot water in that cup. In his other hand, this little angel holds a dry piece of bread. There isn’t even a slice of cheese in the house. The Khubashvili family has five young children. You’ll hardly ever see smiles on their faces. Oh God, oh God! This is so heartbreaking! Kind people! These little angels have been left at the mercy of fate. The most heartbreaking thing is that with each passing day, they are losing faith. We cannot let this happen! Kind people let’s not abandon these children—already abandoned by their father. A long winter with dark, cold days lies ahead. But kindness, care, and love can brighten even the gloomiest days for these little ones.

“It was my friend, who gave me contact details of the Chernovetskyi Fund’s,” says Nelan Charchyan, a single mother confined to a wheelchair. The number was Georgian, and at first, I thought: ‘Why would anyone in a foreign country care about me when nobody in my own Armenia does?’ But I still made the call that evening and left a message on their answering machine. The next day, I got a call from Georgia! Lord, it felt unbelievable! And within a week, staff from the Chernovetskyi Fund were at my house in Yerevan to record and share my story. I thought I was dreaming! I couldn’t believe my ears or eyes! Every time I speak to the Fund’s representatives on the phone, I cry—tears of gratitude as I look at the gifts sent by the Fund’s friends. I want to call each of you ‘jan’ (a term of endearment) and give you all my warmth, love, respect, and gratitude!”

Merabiko feels so confident in his new electric wheelchair that he’s now the leader among his peers: “Follow me, my royal court!”
He presses the remote, and with a happy smile, moves full speed ahead! Everyone’s happy, and no one minds being part of Merabiko’s “court,” chasing after his wheelchair along the beautiful autumn path. Merabiko stops his wheelchair to show the kids: “They built me a new house!” And this isn’t just play—it’s the pure truth! Friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund not only brought the boy an electric wheelchair so he could enjoy being outside but are also building him a new home almost from scratch!

The Makhitashvili family, whose fragile roof collapsed during a hurricane, no longer has to huddle in a temporary shelter. From an abandoned school building, they’ve finally returned to their home. Who knows how long they might have suffered if the Chernovetskyi Fund hadn’t written letters to the officials responsible for their welfare. The result of our reminder was impressive – the local administration stepped in and built the Makhitashvili family a new roof.

Two years ago, Saba Saralidze’s mom accidentally discovered that her son was losing his sight. While on a bus, she pointed out the station names on the monitor, but Saba couldn’t see them. He thought that seeing blurry outlines of people and objects—like looking through a frosted glass—was normal. Keratoconus is a treacherous disease, gradually taking away vision. Saba’s condition was dire: he had only 5% vision in his right eye and 30% in his left one! Precious time had been wasted—no Georgian clinic was able to help him. The family’s despair grew, and it was at this moment that they turned to the Chernovetskyi Fund. We’re thrilled to share some great news! Thanks to the efforts of the Fund and its friends, Saba underwent surgery on his right eye in Turkey, and now there’s a chance that his vision will be restored! No Georgian clinic could help Saba, but with the support of the Chernovetskyi Fund, he was successfully operated on in Turkey. Over the next year, his vision should improve from 5% to 70%.

Five-year-old Anano from the Dagelishvili family is the happiest of all. She skips towards each gift, shouting “Hurray!” and sighs joyfully as she hugs her new things. Anano: “They sent me a beautiful jacket, and I’m already wearing it. It’s pretty, isn’t it? It fits, right? I also found a fluffy sweater for Mom in the clothes. She won’t be cold, and that’s good. And for Elene, I found a tiny little sweater, just like her. It’s so funny. Come on, let’s go look! They sent me so many toys—colorful balls and a jump rope. Will you teach me how to jump? Oh, and can you teach Dad how to use the TV? We didn’t have a remote before, so we don’t know how to use it. And do you know how to turn on the new washing machine? Oh, is this my new bed? It’s so pretty! Hurray! Let’s go check everything out!

Wherever the girls go, the twins—Lazare and Gio—are right behind! Don’t think they’re too little to take part in everything!
Clear the way to the gate so they can watch the uncles bringing in the new gas stove, or they’ll start such a fuss that everyone in the yard will know about it! And to make sure the twins can reach and touch all the new things, someone has to carry them around. Got it? “To the new fridge!” Lazare points, and his sisters rush over, carrying him along. “To the new cabinet!” Gio demands, and they open it up, letting him sit inside for a bit. That’s how it went the whole day while the Fund delivered the aid. Mariam, Shorena, Khatia, Barbare, and Ani carried their little brothers around, showing them everything—and sharing the joy with all their hearts.

Mother Elena: Forgive me for bothering you and asking so much, but isn’t this a shared cause of ours. I won’t hide it—I’m relying on you again… (Smiles) We’re always in need of medications, diapers, wet wipes, and cleaning supplies for the bath and toilet. To care for our three bedridden residents, I use a special cleansing foam. Maybe someone would like to donate a piano to the shelter? It doesn’t have to be new, just in good working condition. Our grandmothers need more joy—this would truly entertain them. And who knows, maybe someone would even give a little concert, like the students from the Georgian-German School “Skhivi.” Oh, what a wonderful day that was! I’ve also been thinking of enclosing the area where our residents sit during the day, to shield them from rain and wind. Metal-plastic would be best. I’m seeking help with this as well. The “Lazaret” shelter regularly needs medications, diapers, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies. Visiting the grandmothers in person is a lovely idea! This day will bring them so much joy and become a lasting memory!

Irma: If possible, I would ask to have our ceiling repaired. I’m tired of this constant fear, always being on edge, afraid something will fall, or someone will get hurt. I also desperately ask for help setting up a bathroom (a shower). It’s already getting quite cold, and I’m still washing the kids in a basin out in the shed. The Nozadze family welcomed your gifts with great enthusiasm and joy! Some of their household problems have been resolved for now. Our special thanks go to everyone who helped! The pressing issues that still need to be addressed are repairing the ceiling and setting up a bathroom. Your help is needed right now!

But now, Giorgi has been reborn. The terrible pain has disappeared from the child’s face. God, how peaceful he looks now. His ocean-blue eyes are full of happiness. What a transformation… God, it’s unbelievable!  Dear friends, thanks to your kindness, 27,000 lari was quickly raised for the boy’s treatment abroad. And now you can see the result! Instead of pain, stars now shine in this child’s eyes. In addition to the successful treatment abroad, the Makhardze family has another wonderful piece of news. The children have escaped forever from the dreadful hut that had no roof or floor and whose walls were damp with moisture. From today, they will live like human beings. God, miracles really do happen!

Dear readers! This is such a happy ending to the terrible suffering of this angelic girl. Happy endings do not only happen in fairy tales. They can happen in real life, too, with one difference: in reality, you don’t need to be a prince or princess to conquer evil. What matters most is that if you do even a little bit of good, you will surely triumph over evil! Mariam, a sunshine girl, has said goodbye to her disability status thanks to your kindness. She has many bright years ahead of her. Kindness always wins!

Before tragedy struck, Likuna loved singing, dancing, and taking tons of selfies. But then, during a game, one of the kids accidentally hit her in the head with a rock. Since then, her family has only seen her distant expression, worrying during her epileptic seizures, and dressing her in diapers. It seems like her mind is asleep. But when we arrived to deliver the presents you provided to the single mother Tamara and her four daughters, we were in for an emotional shock! The workers carried a fridge into the house, set up a new gas stove, and brought in a washing machine.  The only thing left was the TV. Likuna showed interest in it, so we played a Rihanna song for her…  And Likuna danced like she used to! She smiled like she used to! She was happy and free from her illness for those four minutes! In those four minutes, we, moved to tears, witnessed the miracle your kindness worked!!! Lika needs to continue her treatment; it’s a matter of utmost importance. The Tsukhishvili family is deeply touched by the tireless attention you’re giving them. How we wish for the illness to recede! With faith in Lika’s recovery, we will continue to help her!
