Moreover, Tekle’s spinal deformity is reducing the volume of her chest cavity and making it increasingly difficult for her lungs to function properly. And what that means, dear friends, and what consequences it may lead to, you can surely understand for yourselves.

Tekle’s condition has deteriorated so severely that she is now facing the very real threat of paralysis. And yet she is still just a little girl, with her whole life ahead of her.

To prevent this terrible outcome, there are no “several options,” no “alternative solutions,” and no “second chances.” Right now, there is only one word: The only one.

Yes… The only way out of this nightmare is a highly complex surgery abroad. The procedure involves the implantation of a special device into Tekle’s spine.

Recently, Ketevan received notice that the Ministry would provide 27,000 GEL toward the treatment. The remaining amount must be paid by her mother. She has spent months trying to raise this money, enduring hardships and suffering that are impossible to describe in words.

Only 6,000 GEL is still needed.

6,000 GEL is the amount that will determine whether Tekle will run and play alongside her friends – or watch them from a wheelchair.

Who could ever imagine that these photos show the same girl? On the left – Tekle, radiant and beautiful like the sun. On the right – the same Tekle, now enduring unimaginable suffering.

She was born with a heart defect. Her condition was so severe that she had surgery at just one month old. She wanted to live so badly, and fought so hard, that her tiny heart survived anesthesia and a complex surgery. But during treatment, after receiving large amounts of antibiotics, she completely lost her hearing at just seven months old. 

Fate was not done with her. It was later discovered that her lung had also been damaged. Still, the little girl kept fighting for her life. And just when a spark of hope appeared, tragedy struck again.

Her spine began to curve at a terrifying speed. Her mother went hungry to save money for surgery – and somehow, this fragile, single woman achieved the impossible.  She moved mountains for her child.

Ketevan, 41: “I went to bed hungry because I couldn’t afford even bread for myself. Every penny I saved was for Tekle’s surgery. But just when I finally had hope, life dealt me another blow. The surgery failed. For four years now, I have watched my child suffer unbearable pain every single day. 

And the worst part is – she cannot even say,  ‘Mom, help me.’

Because of the heavy antibiotics she received as a baby, she lost not only her hearing, but also her ability to talk.

Friends, just for a moment, put yourselves in this mother’s place – and you will understand the burning pain in her heart. Ketevan is a heroic mother of four children. 

Her youngest child – two-year-old Gabriel.

Look at this golden-haired boy, who often goes to bed hungry because the special nutrition he needs is so expensive. 

What did this little angel do to deserve such a cruel fate for his mother and sister?

Kind people, we believe you will not turn away from this family. But right now, the most urgent matter is 14-year-old Tekle’s life. 

Her spinal curvature has exceeded 85%. You understand what that means. 

 She urgently needs surgery abroad and the placement of an implant. And this comes with significant costs. But can money be more important than a child’s life?

Look at her – she is a true princess. We cannot let this beautiful girl face a life of disability, confined to a bed.

And the tragedy is – she cannot even lie down properly, because her spine has become like a heavy burden on her back.

Now is the time for all of Georgia to come together. Even the smallest contribution is not just money – it is a chance to save a child’s life. 

Please do not abandon this desperate mother, who has been left completely alone in this cruel trial. We are not here to judge those who turned away from her. The Lord sees everything.

Our only goal is to help you feel the immense pain and hardship these good people are going through. Let us unite to save Tekle.
