The start of summer brought a little magic into the lives of children from low-income families and orphaned children. Thanks to the longstanding friendship and support of McDonald’s, these young angels experienced a day filled with joy.

Summer is the season children love most. And the very first day of summer is celebrated around the world as International Children’s Day. Yet the harsh reality is that thousands of children in Georgia grow up without proper care and face the daily hardships of poverty.

For some, these are merely statistics. But there are people, companies, and organizations that strive to bring light back into the eyes of children from struggling families. McDonald’s is one of them.
On International Children’s Day, McDonald’s hosted a special treat for our young beneficiaries.

The joy on the children’s faces speaks for itself.

A delicious meal, gifts from McDonald’s, dancing and singing around a giant speaker, and a variety of fun activities organized by McDonald’s employees were just some of the highlights of this wonderful day.

I noticed something even more important – something the children never said aloud, but which was clearly visible in their eyes. More than gifts and a delicious menu, these children were made happy by the fact that “McDonald’s” remembers them…

Yes, every child is a sun. They simply need the chance to shine.
