“I buried my 2-year-old son with my own hands.  Just 20 days ago, I gave birth to Noe, whose tiny heart is now kept beating in intensive care only by machines. And my third child, 8 years old, needs to be urgently transferred to a clinic in Turkey – but with no money, he is doomed.” Open your hearts, friends! You cannot simply walk past such grief – it wouldn’t be human! We will never forgive ourselves later! – Today, the Chernovetskyi Fund is telling you about one of the most heartbroken mothers in Georgia. God, give this mother strength!

REPOST RIGHT AWAY, MY GOOD MAN! HELP YOUR FRIENDS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD!

“This is little Noe. He was born just 20 days ago, but already on his second day his condition worsened, and now he is fighting for his life in the intensive care unit.” Yes… a two-kilogram angel is battling the devil. And the most terrible thing is that he is fighting this battle completely alone.”

When I, a correspondent of the Chernovetskyi Fund, came from Tbilisi to my clinic in Batumi where little Noe was staying, I called his mother on her way to the hospital. In a hopeless voice, the woman told me: “I couldn’t find the money to travel from my village to Batumi. A kind person gave me money for the fare! I’m on my way now and waiting for a miracle.”

“I desperately, desperately need the help of my compatriots. We cannot survive on our own!

Imagine what a mother feels when her whole soul longs to reach the clinic to see her son alive one more time, but she doesn’t even have money for the trip. Just imagining that is enough to drive a person mad.”

Mariam (38 years old): “When Noe was born, I hoped he might ease the pain of losing my 2-year-old son, Lasha-Giorgi. But just 24 hours later, his condition suddenly worsened – he couldn’t breathe, and since then he has been in intensive care. And he is only 20 days old. God, if I have to bury a second child with my own hands, I won’t survive it. I’d rather die myself than live to see that day.”

Friends of the Fund, the misfortunes of this poor mother do not end there. Mariam also has an 8-year-old son, Gabriel. The boy cannot walk or talk. He suffers from unbearable pain. His legs are so deformed that he can neither walk on his own nor even stand.

Since little Noe has been in the intensive care unit, the devastated mother cannot take care of Gabriel, so the child is looked after by his very elderly grandmother.

From the clinic in Batumi, representatives of the Chernovetskyi Fund travel to the village of Dzimiti in the Ozurgeti Municipality, to the home where the elderly woman and sick 8-year-old Gabriel are staying.  Do you think the grandmother would stay behind in the village if she could? No… she would walk all the way to Batumi to wait outside the doors of the intensive care unit for Noe. But what else can she do, when she carries such a heavy burden: caring for her 8-year-old grandson who cannot move on his own? Strengthen this elderly woman, Lord! Let’s help them so that, at least for a while, this family can live like human beings! These people deserve a monument for the suffering they endure, yet no one cares for them but us.

The picture we are trying to capture there is best shown in the photo collage we have prepared.

The child urgently needs regular physiotherapy, but the poor family doesn’t even have money for a room to stay overnight in the city.

So the 86-year-old grandmother massages her grandson’s deformed legs with her wrinkled, work-worn hands. The poor boy cannot even talk.

Meri (86 years old):  If I was destined to have such a bitter old age, I wish I had never been born. In my lifetime I have buried five grandchildren. I wonder how I’m still alive.

I can’t take my own life, because that would be a grave sin, my child. But I long for the day when I can finally leave this world so that, at least in the next, I might hold my grandchildren in my arms again.

Both surgeries failed. Now Gabriel urgently needs an examination in Turkey. If we’re late – nothing will matter anymore.

The grandmother’s pension isn’t even enough to cover the travel costs.

What can this family sell? They don’t even have a home of their own – they’re temporarily staying with a relative.

Just imagine: this poor mother has only recently buried one child with her own hands. Her second – newborn Noe – is right now connected to a machine in the intensive care unit.

And her third child is condemned simply because he was born eight years ago into poverty.

God-fearing, kind-hearted people, only your compassion gives hope of saving the two little angels of a mother who has already lost one child.

If you are willing to visit the family and help them in person, here is their address: Ozurgeti Municipality, village Dzimiti.

Friends, God has given us the opportunity to show our love for His creation and the strength of our faith in the Almighty!

We have launched a campaign to build 10 more houses. Take part in this noble cause, and you will see how it will change your life!

We have found the best affordable option for such a house, and on a beautiful metal plaque we will inscribe the names of all those who take part in this noble work.

Here is the detailed cost of the project:

Cottage – 16,500 GEL

Transportation (Tbilisi – Ozurgeti) – 1,000 GEL

Electricity connection – 1,600 GEL

Gas connection – 400 GEL

Gravel for cottage installation – 360 GEL

So far, we have spent only our own funds, but we believe that God will help hundreds of families and, most importantly, awaken the hearts and souls of hundreds of thousands of donors.

Be happy, dear friends, but remember that your compatriots, without your prayers and support, are left to suffer humiliation and hardship, struggling with hunger and cold together with their children.

God bless you!

A New Home for Another Beautiful Georgian Family! Tears turned into smiles. The large-scale campaign launched by the Chernovetskyi Fund continues.

YOU HELPED – THANK YOU!
“A Home of Love”
There are films with happy endings, and fairy tales with joyful conclusions. But there are also the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund – whose kindness has no end. Yes, this is a new genre: “kindness without end.” And unlike films, everything here is real.

We waited so long for the completion of this beautiful home – counting weeks, days, even hours. And finally, the long-awaited day has come.
The foundation of this home was built on the kindness of the Fund’s friends. Its walls were raised with love. Everything here is filled with a sense of grace.

This is Mariam, 38. A mother whose tragedy shook the entire country. First, she laid her two-year-old son, Lasha-Giorgi, to rest with her own hands. Just months later, death took her four-month-old baby, Noe.

His heart stopped – and in an instant, a young life was gone. Grief-stricken, Mariam lost her will to live.

Even the Fund’s team feared they would not be able to restore her strength. And yet, with faith and help of Virgin Mary, something close to a miracle happened.

Heaven seemed to open – and angels appeared. Those angels are you – the Fund’s friends.

Mariam has one child left – eight-year-old Gabriel, who has been seriously ill since birth. After the grieving mother laid two of her children to rest, Gabriel’s condition also deteriorated critically.

She stood on the brink of losing him as well.

But it was your support that saved him.

We knew Mariam and Gabriel had no home of their own and were living with relatives. Mariam felt too shy to ask for help.

Mariam, 38:  Even though the Fund’s work is completely transparent and I could check the donations every day, I didn’t. I was already grateful that Gabriel’s life had been saved.

One day, a social worker from the Fund – Nana – called her: “Mariam, pack your things. Tomorrow you and Gabriel are moving into a new home – one that will belong to you. This is the decision of the Fund’s founder, Leonid Chernovetskyi.”

“When I heard those words, I dropped my phone from happiness,” Mariam recalls.

Today, the Fund’s team traveled from Tbilisi to Lanchkhuti to surprise Mariam and Gabriel in their new home.

Although Noe and Lasha-Giorgi are no longer with us, their names will live on.

We believe they are watching from above, sharing in their mother’s and brother’s happiness.

And we believe that, as angels, they pray for long life for each of you – everyone who contributed, even in the smallest way, to building this *Home of Love.*

Mariam, 38:  “The house is now filled with beautiful furniture and everything we need. The Fund’s friends took care of it all. ‘Thank you’ feels too small to express what I feel.” Fund journalist: “Friends, you’ve shown us that kindness and compassion truly have no limits. We are so proud of you.”

Mariam, 38: “Prayer is powerful. But the prayer of a mother who has lost children is something special. Every word reaches God.

And when I pray for my children, I also pray for the Fund’s founder, for every employee, and for everyone who gave me the strength to keep living. In many ways, I feel like I was born again.”

Fund journalist: Mariam showed us her yard and garden – like a small paradise.

After unimaginable grief, her heart is now filled with joy. Even after Mari had said every word of gratitude that exists in the Georgian language, it still felt like not enough – so she put her emotions down on paper.

At the end of the day, before we returned to Tbilisi, Mariam made a request. Ind below we will tell what that request was.

This is 86-year-old Grandmother Meri, she lives in a village of Dzimiti. Mariam loves like her own mother and she asked us to visit her to make the old woman happy.

Grandma Meri welcomed us warmly, tasted the champagne we brought,  and smiled as she recalled her youth.

Grandma Meri, 86: “My dear, the champagne is nice… but nothing compares to the wine I used to make myself.”
Fund journalist: “Grandma, forgive me, but we journalists don’t just take people at their word. Where’s your wine? I’d love to try it.”

Grandma Meri: “Oh, God bless you, dear.  You came all the way from the city — I didn’t even dare offer you my homemade wine.”

And so the day passed – full of warmth and laughter. Time will go by. These words, these photographs, these moments will be filed away in the “archives.” And over time, they will gather dust. But there is one thing that time has no power over – love. Neither wind, nor rain, nor frost can make love fade. And do you know why? Because love lives in a place only God can reach.

Yes… in a heart filled with love – where God dwells.
These homes are comfortable and affordable, dear friends. But in return, you receive something far greater – the love of God, and you will see how your life changes. Remember, it only takes a relatively small amount to begin building such homes. $7,000 can help you become part of Georgia’s history – because your names will be placed on a beautiful metal plaque at the entrance. Let the whole country know who truly loves their people and their homeland.
