Barbare is eight years old. She is a special child—she has a developmental disability. Her poor parents can’t even afford to buy medications for her. There are six other children in the family, and the social allowance they receive is not enough for everyone. The children haven’t any toys at all. Barbara feels very sad and upset about this. She often cries because she doesn’t have a doll or a teddy bear. But her biggest dream is to have her own tablet for learning and playing. And also, a bicycle – the first one in the family. She would share it with her sisters and brothers. When she’s playing, she forgets about her illness and feels great!
