It’s quite symbolic, my friends, that the celebration of The International Day of Older People takes place on October 1st, as the ripe age truly embodies the “mellow autumn” of our lives. We once again express our respect and honor to our elderly relatives, loved ones, and simply to those who have reached a venerable age! Your life experience and wisdom light the way for the younger generation!

The International Day of Older People is yet another reminder that, unfortunately, there are many lonely elderly individuals among us, bedridden and in need of care, assistance, and attention from both the government and society. We should always remember them and, most importantly, lend them our support!

Elderly people are our living history, a treasure trove of knowledge, and a source of invaluable wisdom. We should always bear in mind that we can learn from them every day.

Dear grandfathers and grandmothers, may you have many more years of life, health, and inner peace. You have accomplished so much in your lifetime! May your spirits always remain high, seeking solace and joy in the Lord!

We know, friends, that we should remember and care for them not only on designated days. Let’s, despite our busy schedules and daily routines, make sure we don’t forget about them! Call them more often, speak kind words, and, most importantly –  let them know that they are needed!
