Rimma: I failed both personally and professionally… it happens. Not all people have the right to happiness. With age, numerous diseases manifested themselves: due to diabetes, my leg was amputated, then I completely lost my sight, and for several years now I have not even gotten out of bed. My daughter is taking care of me. She also has a hard life. Poor thing gets torn between her children and me.
– In your opinion, if not for this disease, what would your life be like?
Rimma: Who knows? Maybe if I was healthy, I would have been hit by a car? You know, the Lord does everything as it is good for us. I’m sure. But of course, if I were healthy, it would be better. I have already got used to the pains, but I just can’t deal with this poverty!
– What are you dreaming about now?
Rimma: what can an old, sick, legless woman dream of? Of nothing! The only thing I pray for is to make life easier for my daughter, so that my grandchildren do not starve. That’s all what I want! Food, medications – and that’s it!
