Gio has been in a coma for three months. The only sign of life he shows is opening and closing his eyes. Just think how unbearable this is—a 21-year-old man has to spend his days in a hospital bed, breathing through a machine. He receives food and water through a feeding tube. But the worst part is the seizures tormenting Gio. They’re so severe they twist his arms and legs. How does he endure such suffering? How does he manage to survive? His mother is by his side 24/7, holding him tightly until each seizure passes. Heartbroken, she clings to her son’s hand and constantly talks to him, hoping he can hear her: “Gio, my son! Wake up!” Gio’s young and happy life was shattered in an instant. On September 15, 2024, he was involved in a horrific accident in Germany, where he had gone to work.  Multiple injuries to his body and organs weren’t as devastating as the blow to his chest. His heart stopped. No one gave him a chance—no guarantees, no false hopes. Doctors told his parents to pray for a miracle. And the miracle happened. Gio managed to survive. German managed to bring the boy back from the brink of death. His heart started beating again, but he didn’t regain consciousness and fell into a coma.  The diagnosis is grim—brain infarction. Fortunately, Gio still has a chance to come back to life because he has already won the biggest battle.  Please, save this young man! He won’t be able to cope without your help! 

Lamara is 92 years old. Look at her swollen, tear-filled eyes. This unfortunate, bedridden, elderly woman cannot buy eye drops to avoid going blind, which cost only 7 GEL. Lamara: “I’m lying here hungry, in a freezing house, my dear. I’m utterly exhausted. Eating even once a day is a blessing for me. I can’t move around on my own. My son and daughter-in-law take care of me, but they both have health issues and can’t work. We survive on my pension and social assistance. My son has had two spinal surgeries – he needs help himself. We have only one hope left—you, kind people!”

Gio has experienced clinical death four times in a row! Just imagine what his mother must have gone through, watching her son die in her arms—it’s a pain no one should ever endure. The harrowing fear left her with diabetes. Gio was born healthy, but life took an unexpected turn. At the age of two, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, a condition they have not been able to control. Later, more devastating diagnoses followed: cerebral palsy and autism. His condition worsens every day. He suffers up to 10 seizures daily, none of which can be stopped by medication. Gio urgently needs to undergo medical examinations and start a new treatment plan, but there’s no money for doctors. The family survives on Gio’s disability pension and social allowance, which isn’t even enough for basic food. Gio, his sister, and their mother are often left hungry. Thank God for the food provided by the social canteen; without it, they would have starved to death.

This is three-year-old Giorgi. The child is hungry, and the only food in the house is one piece of bread. The starving boy started to eat the bread eagerly but then stopped. His big blue eyes looked up at the foundation’s correspondent, and timidly, he offered her the only piece he had, saying: “Auntie, you must be hungry too.  Please, eat.” This kind boy’s clothes are so worn out that even a dump might have better options. The boy is sick, running a high fever, and has the flu. But his single mother cannot afford to buy medicine due to extreme poverty. The child can no longer bear the hardship, illness, and suffering, and so he cries bitterly. Look into his eyes, even for a moment! Do you think this is a scene from a dramatic movie? It’s not. No actor could ever portray the pain in the eyes of this little angel. And yet, he’s only three years old.

Nini was only two years old when her mother, Olga, became paralyzed. After a stroke, Olga lost the use of her entire right side.  She couldn’t walk, take care of herself, or even speak. This brave young girl has taken on the care of her mother entirely by herself. She feeds her, bathes her, and carries her—literally. Despite everything, Nini is thriving. She’s an excellent student and even finds time to dance. Strong and responsible, this incredible girl refuses to give up, especially when it comes to her mom. Nini looks after her mother with the help of her grandmother. Every day, she monitors her condition, helps her exercise on at-home equipment, and gives her massages. But it’s not enough. Olga has a real chance to walk again – maybe with crutches or a cane, but still. And she needs ongoing rehabilitation under the guidance of professionals. Unfortunately, the cost of treatment is far beyond what this family can afford. Let’s help Olga achieve her dream of walking again!

He has bravely undergone 9 rounds of chemotherapy, 31 radiation treatments, and several complex surgeries, including the removal of his right kidney and a bone marrow transplant.  For a moment, it seemed like the worst was behind him, that the danger had passed. But the cancer came back—a relapse. Neuroblastoma progresses rapidly, spreading metastases throughout the body at an alarming rate. This is why Nikoloz’s mother made the urgent decision not to waste any time and take him to Turkey for treatment.  The last hope for saving Nikoloz is an expensive chemotherapy course. Each round costs $50,000, and he will need five rounds in total—amounting to $250,000. This treatment is his ticket to life, but his family cannot afford it. If we don’t help Nikoloz complete this lifesaving chemotherapy, it will be as if we are signing his death sentence.
