Five-year-old Lizzy clutched a piece of stale bread with a death grip. It’s heartbreaking to see him like this! He’s always crawling. You know how hard it is? I tried it once, and my knees hurt so much I almost cried. And he crawls like that his whole life. If you don’t believe me, try it yourself! Really! Go home and try it, then you’ll understand how hard it is for him…” – Eight-year-old Sergei greets us from the doorway as if he’s rehearsed a speech, because to him, we’re the saviors. And that’s it – he’ll be the most miserable person on the planet. “I don’t know how I find the strength to live, how I manage not to go crazy.” I think God gives strength to mothers who have sick children. I have two sons and both are sick. Gabriel, 5, and Lasha-Giorgi, 18-month-old. Gabriel has cerebral palsy – he can’t move or do anything on his own. Every month we lie in the hospital or in a rehabilitation center, and Lasha-Giorgi, a martyr, has been in an intensive care unit since birth, hooked up to machines. I haven’t even taken him in my arms, haven’t hugged him. He probably thinks he doesn’t have a mother.”

This is Saba, a 5-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. He struggles to walk and crawls on his knees. Despite everything, he’s a very smart and emotional child. But fate wasn’t satisfied with just one cruel illness for this poor boy. Saba also has an open heart valve and strabismus. Kind-hearted people, now every hour counts. The child urgently needs massage therapy because his muscles are weakening by the day, and soon, once he falls to his knees, he might never be able to get up again. This means that Saba could be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. And he’s such a bright, clever boy… He will suffer, bedridden. Please, let’s not abandon this poor boy, left by his father. Any donation you can make, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Saba knows that a kind stranger will share his story with good-hearted people. This clever boy is full of hope.  Let’s not disappoint him. He’s already been let down once, and the wound from that heartbreak hasn’t healed yet.

Barbare is just one year old, and her tears never stop. These beautiful eyes have never seen joy.
