Human rights lawyer at the L. Chernovetskyi Charity Fund in Tbilisi

Candidate Requirements:

  1. In-depth knowledge of Georgian law, the Constitution, and judicial practice is essential.

  2. A degree in law.

  3. At least 3 years of experience in civil law.

  4. Fluent in both Russian and Georgian (written and spoken), with perfect grammar.

  5. Experience in drafting letters and petitions to various levels of authorities.

  6. Strong motivation to achieve results.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle inquiries from citizens to the Charity Fund.

  2. Assist in resolving issues for those seeking help, including drafting letters, legal documents, providing consultations, and reaching out to companies, organizations, authorities, and courts to resolve problems. Thoroughly analyze each individual case to develop an action plan, timeline, and determine what can be done in each situation.

  3. Prepare requests and responses to official bodies as directed by the management.

  4. Participate in court proceedings related to the Fund’s cases.

  5. Be available to the Fund’s management and founder at any time of day or night (answer the calls) (though this is rarely required).

We offer:

  1. Work hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Tbilisi.

  2. Salary range from $1,000 to $1,500 USD, based on the exchange rate to the Georgian Lari, plus bonuses for excellent performance.

  3. The first month is a probation period with a salary of $800 USD,
    which may be shortened based on performance—leading either to a one-year contract or termination if the candidate’s declared knowledge does not match reality and there is no willingness to learn.
