Sadly, little Beka’s New Year morning was far from magical. The boy welcomed 2025 just as he always has—with torn shoes. His dream of a bicycle and warm clothes remained unfulfilled.

Look at him—the poor child warms his freezing hands in the pockets of an old shirt. Water seeps through his torn shoes. In the biting winter cold, Beka has no coat, not even a warm sweater. His only clothes are a thin, tattered T-shirt and worn-out pants. Oh God, how unfair it is when a child’s eyes hold sadness and despair instead of a smile.

This image says more than words ever could. The pain in his soul is reflected in his eyes. Beka’s home was destroyed in a fire, and along with it, his beloved toys, clothes, bed, pictures, and everything he held dear turned to ash. Now, the large Mchedlishvili family is crammed into a single small room that resembles a livestock shed. Despite all this, the boy still hoped for a magical New Year morning. But sadly, no magic came for Beka.
He greeted 2025 in his torn shoes. On New Year’s Eve, all he wanted was warm winter clothes, shoes, and a bicycle.

He searched through the charred remains of their belongings, hoping to find even one piece of clothing spared by the fire. But he found nothing. And as for the bicycle?
