"Before Luca was born, I was the happiest mother in the World. We had a healthy firstborn Lasha, and in 4 years God again allowed me to experience the joy of motherhood... I will have a second son, and my husband was happy! Our parents rejoiced to have the second grandson. Despite the difficult birth, I gave birth to a handsome baby! I was so proud! – Juna told us, caressing her son's head, who shrugged and ran out of the room... Juna started to cry.

– What is the matter with him?

Juna Gabedava: He doesn't like me to talk about him... sorry. I don't know who cursed me like that. We were discharged from the maternity clinic, and a few days later the baby began to have seizures... Oh, God, how we were frightened... that was the end of my happy motherhood. Oh, how many sleepless nights we spent, how many times he died and resurrected in my arms... 5 times he had anesthesia in course of tomography, and every time we didn't know whether he would be able to get out of it or we'll lose him forever... His condition is getting worse, he became aggressive, he can even hit me... But when I hug him, he looks at me, his eyes seem telling "save me, mommy I don't want to be like that"... I'll never leave him. I love him so much. I believe God will give me the strength to bear this burden! I believe He will restore my son’s health.

Luka has been a disabled person of group one for more than 8 years; his brain is affected by numerous cysts; he looks as a healthy boy, plump, tasty, I always want to pinch his cheek... But he is terribly sick! There's a real monster in his head that's eating his brain. His life can be interrupted at any moment... even now, when you read these words! What shall we do? We must help, immediately!

– Juna, tell us please, what was Luka diagnosed with?

Juna Gabedava: Multiple brain cysts, epilepsy and mental retardation. This was the gift the devil gave my son. We have done tomographic survey five times, and each time the size and number of these things increased... We have not done the operation yet... Doctors say, it is too early.

– Have you always been poor?

Juna Gabedava: Of course not! We had a house, a car... but we sold everything for Luca's treatment! Now we live in this hole. And thus we are complicating the already difficult situation of my son. No furniture, no water, no gas... Sometimes we do not have enough money for food.

– You know, you're a real heroine! – How did you decide to have a third child?
Juna Gabedava: My Nika is a gift from God! He is only 3. He gives me strength to live, strength not to lose heart... The boys are very helpful. The fact that Luka is communicating with other people and that he can say at least some words is a credit to his brothers.
I am ready to give my soul for my son, I thought to sell my kidney, but they said that then I will not be able to take care of him... My husband sometimes works as a laborer, and I do not leave Luka even for a while. He can hurt himself. I'm not complaining, don't think so, it's my duty as a mother!

– Do local authorities or relatives help you?
Juna Gabedava: Batumi Mayor's office pays for rehabilitation courses and medicines. Relatives also help. Our parents are already old, they need help themselves. They are wonderful people as being in need themselves they help to the possible extent and do not forget about us.

– Juna, what are you dreaming about?

Juna Gabedava:  Of course, I want my son to regain his feet. But to do this, we must constantly pray and continue to fight for his life. I know your page is read by hundreds of thousands of people, I ask them to pray for my Luka, I know it will ease my son's plight.
